When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster

Chapter 305: Think Over the Divorce

Chapter 305: Think Over the Divorce

"What I said to Rachel Sherman yesterday, it was all just angry words!"

Adrian Lancaster’s voice was soft and calm, "Where is there a marriage without little emotional antics? There’s no problem between Faye and me, and we won’t be getting divorced, so everyone should just disperse!"

After saying that, he turned and walked inside, merely displaying his firm stance.

The reporters were left in an uproar!

A good relationship? Emotional antics? Not divorcing?

Faye Turner returned to the office and sat down at her desk, her thoughts drifting far away as flashes of that prolonged, voluntary, seemingly heartfelt kiss in the car came to her mind.

Her cheeks flushed lightly, and her heart rate began to accelerate... it felt as though the warmth of his lips still lingered at the corners.

In this period of interaction, could Adrian Lancaster have developed some feelings for her too?

Could he have fallen in love with her?

Faye dared not hope for his love, but Adrian Lancaster is her husband, and while making a good life, she naturally hopes there can be feelings between them.

It would be beneficial for the child’s growth.

Just then, her phone rang. She picked it up to see a message from Adrian Lancaster on WeChat—

[Leave work at five o’clock sharp and return to the old place.]

She stared at this message for a moment, then edited a "Sure" and sent it.

At quitting time.

Rachel Sherman left the newspaper office and entered the store Vivian Sawyer mentioned. The decor was quite artistic, and the shop was spacious, with several small compartments separated by screens.

When she arrived at the door of compartment three, she saw Vivian Sawyer, dressed in a red spaghetti strap dress, sitting in a chair, eating a mini cake.

She looked like a woman glowing with happiness.

Upon raising her eyes and seeing Rachel, she displayed a superior smile, "You’re here?"

Rachel lifted a corner of her lips and sat down in the chair opposite her, while Vivian called the waiter over, "Order up!"

Then she asked her, "Rachel, what would you like to eat? It’s on me."

"Using Dylan Shaw’s money to treat?" Rachel’s smile carried a hint of mockery.

Vivian was slightly taken aback, but didn’t care at all, still smiling charmingly, "That’s not important, what matters is, do you know where your husband was last night?"

She didn’t know; Dylan Shaw hadn’t come home, staying out all night.

Rachel had no interest in knowing at this moment, as the unpleasant fact already lay right before her.

Vivian withdrew her gaze, picking at her cake with a fork, boasting, "He was with me."

Rachel remained silent.

She looked across, but found that the woman sitting opposite her was still unmoved after hearing such provocative words.

Vivian took a sip from the nearby latte, "You don’t believe it, do you? Did he tell you he was out looking for a job? Out of town with friends?"

Rachel stayed silent, opting to watch her performance in peace.

Seeing her disbelief, Vivian sighed softly and pulled out her phone, flipped through some photos, and handed it to her.

Rachel, however, told her, "Just send it to me, I won’t touch your phone, it’s dirty."

The comment raised her eyebrow, and she retracted the phone, "Then I’ll just add you on WeChat. No need to block me, considering there might be similar photos to send your way in the future."

"Okay." Rachel’s lips slightly curled, thinking, these are evidence.

Soon, a friend request alert sounded.

Rachel took out her phone, accepted it, and immediately, Vivian sent the photos over one after another.

Rachel clicked open each one to see all were bed photos of Dylan Shaw and her, saving the original images.

"See? He really was with me." Vivian asked her with a smile, "So, when do you plan on letting go? Giving him to me?"

"Does Dylan want a divorce?" Rachel asked her, "What does he say to you?"

"Whether he divorces or not depends on you, doesn’t it? Men generally don’t want to bother, but if you insist on it, he’ll agree."

While speaking, Vivian handed a bank card to her, "There’s fifty thousand in here as my compensation. Think about whether you want to give him to me. His heart isn’t with you anymore."

Rachel reached out and accepted the bank card, "That necklace around your neck, I reckon it’s worth more than fifty thousand, right?"

Upon mentioning the necklace, Vivian’s face instantly lit up with joy as she caressed it, "You bet, in my eyes, a gift from a beloved man is invaluable!"

It really was bought by Dylan Shaw?

Rachel felt a sting in her heart; it truly was ironic, yet outwardly, she stayed calm, pretending not to care about anything.
