Chapter 325 - 324: Seems Like Ms. Acker Seduced Me First
Mr. Sinclair put away his phone and said, "It’s not compensation; it’s that their clothes need to be replaced. Since Bella asked me to help, I should do something."
Doing something is fine, but do you have to start with a whole batch of new clothing?
Doesn’t it feel a bit extravagant?
Bella’s mouth twitched slightly, "Well, thank you."
"No need." Damian Sinclair placed the nearby clothes into the wash basin and said without looking at her, "Ms. Acker, don’t misunderstand. I’m here because of Bella, and I’m giving clothes because of those kids. It has nothing to do with you, so you don’t need to thank me."
Bella heard and lowered her gaze, "I understand, I’ll thank you on behalf of the children."
Damian Sinclair’s grip on the clothes suddenly tightened; he knew very well in his heart why he was here, but when he spoke, the meaning changed completely.
Bella forced a smile, stepped back two steps, and said, "Mr. Sinclair, I’ll wash these little clothes, can I trouble you to watch the washing machine for me?"
"I’ll wash, you watch the washing machine." Damian Sinclair had no intention of moving, rolled up his sleeves, and continued washing those little clothes.
This time he was more experienced, using much less force, finally not tearing the clothes apart.
A fully automatic washing machine doesn’t need someone watching.
Bella was thinking that he’d never washed clothes before, so she tried to find an excuse to get him to step aside, but he just wouldn’t leave.
With a silent sigh, Bella dragged over a small stool and sat on the other side of the wash basin, silently washing the children’s little clothes that they’d changed out of.
Too much laundry detergent had been poured into the basin, just a slight movement of the hand would stir up a wave of bubbles, probably needing several washes to clean them away completely.
Bella rubbed the clothes, secretly raised her eyes to look at Damian Sinclair, who was only half an arm away.
He lowered his eyelids, his distinctly outlined features at this close distance appeared even more sharp as if carved by a knife, yet at this moment, he deliberately softened his strength while washing the child’s clothes, suddenly making that imposing sharpness carry a gentle warmth.
Still handsome and dashing, yet no longer overwhelming.
Bella couldn’t help but watch in a daze, her palm slipped out because of the excessive detergent and grasped another hand in the basin.
They were the only ones washing clothes here, apart from Damian’s, whose hand could it be?
Bella’s face flushed instantly, she wanted to pull her hand back.
But as soon as her fingers loosened, they were quickly clasped by a larger hand.
Bella looked up at him in surprise.
Damian Sinclair still kept his eyelids lowered, neither looking at her nor speaking.
Bella tried to gently withdraw her hand, only to find that as soon as she moved, the hold on her tightened, making it impossible to pull away.
Bella stopped trying to withdraw her hand, lowered her head, and looked at the foam piled in the basin.
So many bubbles gathered together completely covered their interlocked hands; aside from the two of them, no one else would be able to notice.
Their hands remained clasped like that, and after a while, Bella softly asked, "Damian, what do you mean by this?"
Cold and heartless towards her, indifferent and distant, yet he kissed her, hugged her, and now he’s holding her hand like this, refusing to let go.
What exactly is he trying to do?
Damian Sinclair finally looked up at her, a flash of complex emotions in his eyes.
Bella also looked at him, her gaze dazzling.
Damian Sinclair gazed at her and finally said, "Isn’t it Ms. Acker who flirted with me first?"
