Chapter 326 - 325: What Do You Want to Talk About
Bella Acker widened her eyes. When did she ever flirt with him?!
Damian Sinclair continued, "Ms. Acker, one should have the courage to own up to their actions."
She hadn’t done anything, yet he made her feel like she’d committed a crime.
Bella Acker felt so wrongly accused, she couldn’t help but protest, "Damian, you’re the one who grabbed my hand, not me trying to flirt with you! You’re talking nonsense!"
Damian Sinclair raised an eyebrow, looking at her expressionlessly.
Bella Acker pouted and glared back.
Neither of them was willing to back down. Eventually, it was Bella Acker who couldn’t withstand his gaze any longer. She turned her eyes away, cheeks flushed, and attempted to pull her hand back.
The sound of knocking came from the front door, and only then did Damian Sinclair release her hand.
Bella Acker stood up, her face beet red, and hurried over, "Coming."
The courtyard’s main gate wasn’t fully closed, but Special Assistant Lawson still politely stood outside without stepping in uninvited.
"Ms. Acker." Special Assistant Lawson greeted with his usual polite smile.
"Hello." Bella Acker nodded in response, looking at the truck parked behind him.
Special Assistant Lawson explained, "These are all items the boss ordered. Is it convenient to move them in now?"
"All of these?" Even from inside the door, Bella Acker could see the stuff protruding from the back of the truck. How much did they haul here?
"Yes." Special Assistant Lawson nodded, "Ms. Acker, can we start moving these in now?"
"Sure." Bella Acker opened the double doors wide and said, "Thank you for your trouble."
"Not at all. We’re happy to do something for the kids." Special Assistant Lawson replied with a smile and then turned to signal to the truck.
Six movers jumped down from the truck and began unloading.
The things Damian brought in were even more than what Bea brought. Bella Acker’s mouth dropped open when she saw the six workers unloading a staircase from the truck.
It was obvious who had ordered this staircase to be delivered.
Special Assistant Lawson explained, "Ms. Acker, don’t worry. This is a portable staircase. It can be folded when not in use, so it won’t take up space."
"Thank you, that’s very considerate." Bella Acker expressed her sincere gratitude.
Special Assistant Lawson glanced towards the courtyard with a smile and said, "This was all instructed by the boss. If you truly want to thank someone, you should thank the boss."
"Alright." Bella Acker nodded and turned to walk back into the courtyard.
Damian Sinclair seemed to have already washed the children’s small clothes and was now taking the cleaned sheets out of the washing machine.
Bella Acker walked up next to him and took the sheets he handed out, saying, "Damian, thank you for buying and bringing so many things over."
Damian Sinclair turned his head to look at her, but Bella Acker immediately held up her hand to cut him off, "I know, you’re going to say these are things for the kids and have nothing to do with me, so there’s no need for thanks."
Damian Sinclair remained silent. After taking out the sheets from the washing machine, he tossed the clothes he had just hand-washed into it.
Bella Acker watched him busy himself for a while before speaking again, "Damian, why do you always say things that get under my skin? Can’t we just sit down and have a calm conversation when we have disagreements?"
"What do you want to talk about?" Damian Sinclair turned his head to look at her.
"About the photos..." Bella Acker had barely started when she noticed Damian’s expression suddenly turned cold. She sighed, extending her hand towards him, "Give me your phone."
Damian Sinclair looked at her, and although he frowned at the mention of the photos, he didn’t lose his temper. He pulled out his phone and placed it in her hand.
