Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife

Chapter 323 - 322: Please Don’t Hurt Her

Chapter 323 - 322: Please Don’t Hurt Her

Bella Acker cautiously peeked at Damian Sinclair’s expression after making her suggestion.

At the same time, she felt a bit regretful.

How busy Damian must be with work, how could he possibly waste time sitting next to her watching her do laundry?

Bella pursed her lips, a bit annoyed with her habit of becoming tongue-tied whenever she saw Damian.

She silently sighed, thinking that Damian might turn around and leave.

"Damian, if you’re busy, you can just..."

Bella intended to tell him to leave if he was busy, but before she could finish her sentence, Damian silently walked to the side, took off his coat, rolled up his sleeves, and grabbed a handkerchief to start wiping the bamboo poles where the clothes would be hung.

Bella quickly swallowed back the words she was about to say.

If he was willing to stay, she wouldn’t urge him to leave.

Aunt Sienna cleaned up the dining hall and came out, only to see Damian Sinclair setting up the clothesline. She was taken aback and quickly approached, "Mr. Sinclair, you can rest, I’ll handle it."

Damian Sinclair had visited the orphanage with Bella before, but it was always to deliver things together, never to help with chores.

Aunt Sienna had seen him a few times, and by his demeanor, she knew he wasn’t an ordinary person. How could she dare let him do housework?

As she spoke, Aunt Sienna tried to grab the clothesline pole from him, but due to their height difference, she couldn’t reach it even with her hand outstretched.

Damian held the clothesline pole and silently looked at Aunt Sienna.

Aunt Sienna stood there awkwardly with her hand raised, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Mr. Sinclair, well...our clothesline only hangs from this lower spot." She pointed to an even lower round hole.

Damian had raised the clothesline pole a good half meter higher.

He looked down at the spot Aunt Sienna pointed to, and with an unchanged expression, he lowered the clothesline pole into the round hole.

Aunt Sienna silently thought to herself that having someone like Mr. Sinclair do housework was really putting him out.

After securing the clothesline, Damian said to Aunt Sienna, "You take care of them, I’ll do this."

Aunt Sienna turned around to look at the kids crowding the front door, watching the spectacle, and then glanced at Bella busy with the laundry nearby. She sighed helplessly, "Then that would be a great help, Mr. Sinclair."

"It’s no trouble." Despite Damian’s polite words, his face remained expressionless, giving off an unapproachable impression.

Aunt Sienna glanced again towards Bella, hesitated for a long time, and finally decided to speak up for her child.

"Mr. Sinclair, though Bella seems like a cheerful and lively girl, she’s actually very insecure inside. When she was in school, many classmates would mock her for being an orphan without parents and bully her together. Yet she doesn’t want to worry me or the principal, so after school, she’d return home always smiling, never sharing her grievances. Over time, this habit became ingrained in her personality. I can tell that she’s in a bad mood this time she returned, but in front of me and the children, she doesn’t say a word, just shoulders it alone." Aunt Sienna spoke with reddened eyes, "Mr. Sinclair, if you have feelings for Bella, please cherish her, she’s a good girl. If not, please don’t hurt her in the future. Consider me selfish, but I just want to see the children from the orphanage live well and not suffer so much."

After speaking, Aunt Sienna wiped her eyes, not waiting for Damian’s response, turned around, and headed into the house, taking a group of children to learn to read.

Damian stood silently in place, his gaze shifting to Bella Acker working with the washing machine.
