Chapter 322 - 321: Why Don’t You Sit Beside Me?

Chapter 322 - 321: Why Don’t You Sit Beside Me?

Upon hearing this, Bella Acker paused in sorting clothes, then said softly, "I can’t always rely on Damian."

"Exactly, we women can’t always depend on men; we should have our own careers. I fully support your decision," Bea said. "If anyone dares to look down on you, just drop my name, see if they still dare to mess with you."

"Alright, then you’ll be my powerful backup," Bella chuckled, not taking her words seriously.

"I’m serious," Bea helped her put the sheets into the washing machine first. "Isn’t there a lot of shady business in your circle? If anyone dares to pull one on you, I’ll go straight up and slap them so hard they won’t dare to say a word."

"Sure, you’re the toughest," Bella replied somewhat perfunctorily, as she poured detergent into the washing machine and stirred with her hand.

"Hey, you..." Bea was about to say more when she saw her brother walking in from the main entrance. So she stopped talking and cheerfully ran up to him, "Hey, bro, you’re here."

"Mm." Damian Sinclair glanced over at Bella Acker quietly and said, "Someone will deliver the stuff later."

"My brother is always reliable," Bea praised him before continuing, "I’m talking about that refrigerator. Even though it’s not too big, Bella and I definitely can’t move it in and had to ask for your help. Right, Bella?"

"Huh?" Bella Acker was still dazed from hearing Damian’s voice, and when Bea suddenly asked her a question, it took her a while to process.

"What do you mean ’huh’? Wasn’t it you who told me to ask my brother for help?" Bea winked at her secretly.

Bella was confused and only nodded blankly after a while, "Oh... Yes... yes, sorry... Damian, I’m bothering you."

Damian looked at the double-door fridge in the yard. It wasn’t something he could move alone, or even with help.

Following his gaze, Bella looked at the fridge, feeling as if her fib had been exposed, and blushed awkwardly.

Damian said calmly, "I’ll call workers to move it."

"Bro, since you’re already here, forget about calling workers for the fridge. There are so many clothes here; lend a hand," Bea’s eyes twinkled as she said, "I just remembered I have to check the studio’s renovations, so I really have to go. Bella can’t handle everything by herself, could you pitch in for me as my stand-in?"

Damian glanced at her indifferently without saying anything.

Bea was not afraid and continued to persuade him, "Bro, I promised Bella and Aunt Sienna. You wouldn’t want me to break my promise, right? I’m begging you."

Bella, thinking she was serious, quickly said, "Bea, if you have something to do, go ahead, I can..."

Before she finished speaking, Damian said, "You go if you have things to tend to."

"Bro, so you’re agreeing?" Bea grinned, winked at Bella, and said, "I’m off then. You two take care, bro, Bella." With that, she swiftly went inside, greeted Aunt Sienna and the others, grabbed her bag, and left.

She left so swiftly and neatly that Bella was left staring in surprise.

Damian didn’t even look at the departed Bea and asked nonchalantly, "What needs to be done?"

"Laundry," Bella instinctively replied, then realized, quickly waving her hands covered in sudsy detergent, "I can do it myself, or... you can just sit and watch me if you’d like."
