Chapter 337: Ch 337: A Peaceful Little Village

Chapter 337: Ch 337: A Peaceful Little Village

Somewhere in Spiritarium, far from any empire, country, or even city, there was a small village.

At this moment, a light flashed and a person suddenly appeared at the edge of the village.

As he appeared, warm sunlight touched his face and a gentle breeze brushed past him. The air here was fresh, filled with the scent of flowers and damp soil.

For some reason, Emrys’s heart felt light as he breathed deeply. A rare feeling of peace bloomed inside him.

He smiled softly and started walking into the village.

The village was lively but calm. He could see many people standing in groups, talking with smiles on their faces. Some were laughing, others were sharing stories while sitting on wooden stools.

He could see old people basking in the sunlight outside their houses. Some had their sons and daughters serving them while others were watching the people talking and laughing in the distance.

He could also see children running around, chasing each other, and playing with simple toys. He smiled as their laughter echoed in the air like a sweet song.

Emrys watched everything quietly with a relaxed smile on his face. He didn’t speak to anyone. He simply walked, observing everything with a calm heart. He felt like he had returned to a place where time moved slowly and life was simple.

Why did he feel like this?

Perhaps because all the people of this village were mortals!

Or perhaps because it had been a very long time since he last experienced such a peaceful environment.

As Emrys walked toward the east side of the village, he saw a small garden.

This garden was beautiful. There were many flowers blooming in soft colors such as blue, white, pink, and yellow. In the middle of the garden was a clear pool of water. Fish could be seen swimming slowly in it.

On top of flowers, dragonflies could be seen dancing over the surface.

There was a giant tree with thick branches and green leaves beside the pool. This tree’s umbrella-like head gave a wide shade down there.

Emrys walked over and sat down under the tree. He leaned his back against the rough bark and closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the coolness of the shade.

Then he opened his eyes and looked at the children playing in the garden not far from him. They were laughing, shouting, and rolling on the grass.

Emrys’s lips curved into a soft smile as he saw a little girl running after a boy with a wooden stick in her hand, while a third child pretended to be a monster and chased them both.

At this moment, there was no crowd, no violence, no battle, no chaos, and no heavy burden. If anything, then this place filled Emrys’s heart with peace and simple joy.

For the first time in a long while, Emrys let his guard down and allowed himself to enjoy the present.

Why did Emrys come to this village?

Even he wasn’t sure.

When he was observing the Spiritarium last time, his attention had briefly passed over this village.

Back then, it was just a quiet dot in the vast land far from any empire, country, or city. It didn’t have any Soul Force rising from it, no strange Soul Beasts, no signs of powerful Soul Masters or cultivation treasures.

It was just a little peaceful land.

He didn’t look at it closely at that time, nor did he give it much thought. After all, it was only a village of mortals, and he was someone looking for places where he could find and learn Soul Skills, and increase his Soul Cultivation.

He didn’t know why, but as soon as he thought of leaving the tower, the image of this small village came to his mind. This village’s peaceful atmosphere seemed to have called him.

Strangely, Emrys followed that feeling without hesitation and directly teleported here.

And now, sitting under this giant tree, watching the children laugh and the dragonflies dance, he felt like this might have been exactly what he needed.

Sometimes, when a person has gone through too many things in a short period, they start to seek warmth and light on their own.

Maybe that was why he came here.

Not for cultivation.

Not for battle.

Not to relax.

Just to feel.

Just to breathe.

Just to exist peacefully for a little while without the pressure of a word called cultivation.

Emrys lowered his gaze and reached out. A leaf had fallen beside him. It was light green, smooth, and soft. He held the leaf between his fingers and stared at it for a long time. He could not help but feel as if this little leaf that had fallen from the tree was far more real than all the Soul Skills and Weapons he had seen on the ninth floor of Astral Soul Tower before.

He then looked up again and saw a little boy falling while running. For a moment, it looked like he was about to cry, but then his friend rushed over and pulled him up, and he started laughing again.

At first, his laughter seemed awkward, but then, it became very natural. Very soon, Emrys witness the boy running off and laughing again.

Emrys seemed to have comprehended something, yet he was clueless about it. In the end, he shook his head and chuckled softly.

"Yes... maybe this is why I came to this village of mortals." Emrys muttered in a low voice.

He could not help but think that maybe his heart just wanted to rest, even if only for a little while.

And in this small village, he could do exactly that.

Even Emrys didn’t know that the smile on his face was becoming wider and wider.

"Hmmm?"

All of a sudden, he seemed to have sensed something and looked down.

Unfortunately, the land below blocked his sight.

"What is this weird feeling?"

Emrys didn’t hesitate to activate the three-dimensional world.

All of a sudden, the entire world seemed to have come alive, and everything appeared crystal clear in Emrys’s sight.
