Chapter 336: Ch 336: Soul Burning Bow

On the Ninth Floor of Astral Soul Tower, there were not many crystal spheres. Emrys counted them all with one look. There were exactly 12 crystal spheres.

These spheres were different from the scrolls and jade tablets. Each one was radiating pressure of different degrees.

After observing for a few seconds, Emrys reached out calmly toward the closest crystal sphere. The moment his fingers touched its surface, the crystal sphere trembled and let out a soft hum. Then, without warning, the entire sphere dissolved into sparkling dust and vanished into thin air.

It was also at this time a blinding light burst out in front of him, forcing Emrys to narrow his eyes. The light shimmered and twisted, and soon started to change its form. Slowly, it started to take shape.

Emrys didn’t have to wait for long when the shape of a longbow emerged from within the blinding light. Very soon, a graceful bow materialized in front of Emrys.

The bow’s limbs were crafted from petrified Shadowwood, which is a rare and ancient material said to grow only in places where the barrier between worlds is thin. The wood has a deep, matte black sheen. Emrys also noticed that the bow appeared to be absorbing all surrounding light.

Silver-inlaid runes could be seen across the bow’s surface. The runes’ edges were glowing with an eerie light. Despite that, the runes had some sort of magical ability to attract people’s souls.

When Emrys saw the bow, he automatically reached out for it.

The bow gently landed in his hand.

The moment Emrys grasped the bow, a stream of knowledge surged into his mind like a river bursting its dam. The information that suddenly appeared inside his mind provided him with the name of the weapon as well as its description.

This bow was called Soul Burning Bow. It was a Heavenly Mystery Rank weapon, which is so one of the most powerful weapon ranks in the entire cosmic fields. Weapons of this level are generally exceedingly rare. They could not be found normally even if people were to spend their entire life searching.

First of all, creating a Heavenly Mystery-ranked weapon is as difficult as comprehending all 108 Rules of a Cosmic Field for any Weapon Craftsmen. In other words, the chances of creating such a weapon for all Weapon Craftsmen are close to zero. Perhaps, one Weapon Craftsman out of ten or more Cosmic Field would be able to achieve such a result.

This left only one way for such a weapon to appear, and that is natural birth.

This Soul Burning Bow is likely an innate weapon, born from nature and the rules of Spiritarium itself.

This is what makes the Soul Burning Bow special.

The Soul Burning Bow was terrifying. An arrow shot from this bow would not harm the body, instead, it would lock onto the target’s soul. Once fired, the arrow would ignore physical distance, barriers, and even illusions, reaching the soul without fail. And once the soul was struck, it would begin to burn.

This burning of the soul is known as Soul Ignition, and Soul Ignition will not stop until the soul is reduced to nothingness.

No matter how strong the target is, once hit, their soul will ignite like dry leaves in fire.

Even more frightening was the fact that the arrow shot from this bow would never miss the target. Once a target was locked, the arrow would always find its mark. The only way to avoid it was to have no soul.

Emrys stared at the bow in silence for a few seconds. This weapon is definitely a terrifying weapon. However, he was not interested in it at all.

After all, no matter how powerful this weapon is, it is only a Heavenly Mystery-ranked Weapon. Although it is one of the strongest weapons in the entire Spiritarium, the same was not true when it comes to the Vast Expanse of Eternity.

Emrys was not going to stay in Spirtarium for long. He was planning to leave this Cosmic Field as soon as possible so that he could start the true adventure.

After all, there were many things he wanted to do.

One of them being his wish to return to the fragmented Cosmic World. He still could not forget that place full of strong vitality, so strong that mosses started growing on his body. He wanted to explore that place.

Coming back to the point, Emrys did not lack weapons. He still has two strongest weapons in hand.

One is the Sun & Moon Blade and the other one is the Deformed Abyssal Sword.

Shaking his head, Emrys let go of the Soul Burning Bow.

The Soul Burning Bow buzzed and let out a humming sound. Emrys even felt that the Soul Burning Bow was disappointed because he let it go.

Then he watched as a blinding light appeared and the Soul Burning Bow started transforming once again.

Very soon, a crystal sphere appeared in this bow’s place.

Obviously, the bow had reverted back to the crystal form. Who knows how long it would have to wait for a worthy Soul Master or Spirtas to appear on the ninth floor of this tower?

Emrys then shifted his attention and looked at other crystal spheres.

He then reached out for the second Crystal Sphere. The Crystal Sphere reacted to his touch just like the first one and a resplendent light exploded on the Ninth Floor.

In a matter of seconds, a long spear appeared before Emrys’s eyes.

Emrys frowned. He didn’t touch the spear. He was not interested in any weapon that may appear on this floor.

"It seems all these crystal spheres are weapons. If that’s true, there is no need to check on them."

Emrys sighed and to be sure, he checked the third Crystal Sphere.

As expected, it was yet another weapon.

It seems his guess is right.

Thinking of this, Emrys no longer goes through other Crystal Spheres. He looked around on this floor one last time before disappearing.
