Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 302: Ch 302: The Cave

Chapter 302: Ch 302: The Cave

Emrys activated his ability and the world around him changed immediately. His eyes no longer saw things as a normal person would. Instead, his perspective became that of a god. Everything stretched out before him in every direction. The land, the sky, and even the deep underground were all within his sight. A vast area covering millions of miles appeared in his vision.

This was his three-dimensional perspective.

He could see not just the surface of the world but also what lay hidden deep below.

His purpose of activating this ability was very obvious. He wanted to locate the Archway.

Immediately, his attention was drawn to something astonishing. He saw millions of faintly glowing divine runes buried twenty thousand meters beneath this city. They were like an invisible web, covering everything underneath.

He was familiar with most of these divine runes. He had seen them before when he comprehended the runes inside the Dark Fog, which is also the true Edge of Celestial Horizon.

However, not all divine runes were familiar. About one-third of the runes were unfamiliar to him. They were different. He could feel these unfamiliar runes contained a different kind of power, one he had not fully understood yet.

A light flashed in his eyes. The more divine runes there are, the better. He could comprehend and understand them. Understanding these runes can develop his strength from another direction.

His eyes shifted again.

Ordinary people would never be able to see what was hidden under these divine runes. Their protection was absolute. Even powerful beings would struggle to see past them.

But Emrys was different.

His eyes easily pierced through the formation. Perhaps due to the increase in his strength, his God’s Perspective seemed to have been strengthened.

The countless divine runes, which would have blocked anyone else, could not stop his gaze.

As he focused, he saw an underground cave protected by millions of divine runes. This was no ordinary cave. It was surrounded by even more divine runes, layered upon one another.

Gerald had clearly gone to great lengths to make sure no one could reach there. He had placed several layers of restrictions and protections, ensuring that no one could step into this place even by accident.

But to Emrys, these protections were useless.

A small smile appeared on his face. He finally knew where to go next.

Without hesitation, he activated his ability.

In an instant, his body flickered. The space around him distorted and he vanished from where he was.

The next moment, he appeared right in front of the hidden cave.

Emrys did not rush into the cave.

Instead, he stood still and carefully observed his surroundings. This place was quiet, with no sound or movement. It was obvious though, after all, no one except him was present here.

After making sure nothing was unusual, he turned his attention to the cave in front of him.

The cave was not very big. Its entrance was narrow, just wide enough for one person to enter at a time. The walls of the cave were rough and dark, covered with faint, glowing divine runes. These runes were complex. The cave did not spread outward but went straight down into the ground.

Its depth was unknown.

Emrys could not see the bottom. It was like a black hole leading straight into the Abyss. Even with his God’s Perspective, he could not see past the dense runes inscribed inside the gate.

Although he could not see through it, he had a feeling that the Divine Runes inside the cave were no longer pure. They seemed to have been affected by something dark and eerie.

He stood there for a while. He was thinking something.

"Perhaps, the Divine Runes were affected by the aura of Abyss," Emrys muttered silently. He was not sure, but there was still a huge probability of his guess being correct.

Then, instead of stepping inside, he sat down right in front of the entrance. He crossed his legs, closed his eyes, and focused on the unfamiliar divine runes.

These runes were different from the ones he had learned before. They had a special kind of power. If he can comprehend these runes, they can strengthen his strength in a different way.

Emrys didn’t mind comprehending them.

Of course, he didn’t intend to comprehend the Divine Runes inscribed on the walls of the cave. Instead, he focused on the Divine Runes inside the cave.

As he sat there, he did not actively use the hidden power in his body and bloodline. But as time passed second by second, the essence of Timeless Enlightenment inside him was activated on its own. Immediately, a deep and mysterious feeling spread through him, and his mind became calm like still water.

Just like that, Emrys entered the state of enlightenment. His perception soared to an incredible height.

In this state, his understanding of the divine runes increased at a monstrous speed. The meanings behind the symbols became clear, as if they were revealing their secrets to him. Every second, he comprehended more and more.

Time passed, but Emrys remained completely focused. He was understanding the unfamiliar divine runes one after another. Once he understood them, he shifted to comprehend other runes.

Just like that, he ended up comprehending all the unfamiliar runes and the state of enlightenment ended at that moment.

"I have to say everything feels amazingly smooth in the state of enlightenment. The sense of time and surroundings disappears, leaving behind only a pure world of understanding. In this state, thoughts flow without effort. It is no wonder the meanings hidden within the divine runes unfolded before me like a book."

Emrys smiled and stood up. Then he observed the cave once more before taking the first step inside.

Everything was alright until he entered the cave. The moment he stepped in, a few faintly glowing divine runes in front of him erupted with fierce light. Then Emrys sensed the space shifting, the sense of the outside world was lost.

Emrys is a person who holds the authority of space. With his authority, he could sense a spatial barrier forming behind him, and this spatial barrier was very strong.

The corner of his mouth curved up when he sensed the barrier and shook his head. Anyone observing him could see a mocking smile on his face.
