Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 300: Ch 300: Who Created Ascension Gates?

Chapter 300: Ch 300: Who Created Ascension Gates?

Elysia remained indifferent after learning everything. She didn’t ask anything further or show any interest in the conversation. To her, the destruction of this universe or even the entire Spiritarium was nothing worth caring about.

On the other hand, Emrys fell into deep thought. After a moment, he asked, "What happened to the Temporal Emperor... I mean, Lin Hao? Is he still alive? If yes, where is he now?"

Gerald’s expression became complicated. He remained silent for a few seconds, as if recalling the past, before shaking his head. "I don’t know where Lin Hao has gone to."

He paused and looked up. His eyes were filled with uncertainty. Then he continued speaking, "But I do know one thing; Lin Hao is not dead. He successfully left the world before it was destroyed."

Emrys had expected this already. After all, in Elysia’s words, Lin Hao is an ancient being, and one of the strongest even in the Vast Expanse of Eternity. How could something happen to him?

However, he still wanted to obtain at least one more clue about Lin Hao, so he asked: "Then where did he go?"

Gerald sighed. Shaking his head, he said, "That... I have no idea. His existence defied logic, just like yours. Even if I tried to find him, I doubt I’d succeed."

Hearing this, Emrys didn’t ask further. He could sense that Gerald truly didn’t know.

He could not help but think if Lin Hao was alive, then where had he gone? What was he planning?

They talked for a while longer, discussing various things. But eventually, Emrys asked the question he had been waiting to ask.

"Where is the Archway?"

Gerald’s eyes darkened slightly. The Archway is something he truly doesn’t want to reveal anything about to anyone.

Unfortunately, this is not a place where he can stay silent just because he wants to.

The instant his eyes darkened, he felt an invisible aura pressuring down on him. It was not strong, however, he could sense it gradually strengthening. He knew this was Elysia’s doing. She seemed to have sensed his thoughts already.

Gerald understood then that if he didn’t answer, he might die right here. However, if he answered, he might lose the Archway, which is the only path to the Abyss.

He couldn’t help but weigh the pros and cons of both options. Even if he didn’t want to, he still found the answer very clear in his heart.

The immediate situation was far worse for him. He knew that if he wanted to get out of here alive, he had to answer every question, and truthfully at that.

As for Abyss, life is long. He may get another opportunity to enter the Abyss in the future.

After a brief silence, he finally spoke. "The Archway is fifty thousand meters beneath the ground, right at the center of Celestial Horizon."

Emrys’s eyes narrowed. "That deep?"

Gerald nodded. "Not only that but the entire area is sealed with countless divine runes and formations. With your current strength, it’s impossible for you to go there."

Emrys didn’t think too much. He had expected something like this. Even so, he had a smile on his face. It was as if he was telling Gerald that he may have forgotten how he got to this place.

He had to pass through the wall of Dark Fog that was filled with millions of runes, and now, he knows all those runes. In fact, he knows them better than Gerald. It was all due to the Timeless Enlightenment that flowed within his blood and body. He had long since understood the essence of those millions of runes.

Gerald then added something that made him pause a little. Looking at Elysia, he said, "Of course, if it is her, then that would be a different matter."

Emrys turned to Elysia, who had been silent this whole time. Her face remained indifferent as if she didn’t care about any of this.

Now that the talk about runes had started, Emrys could not help but think about the ancient divine runes that made the Ascension Gate. Those runes were much more powerful, profound, and complicated than the divine runes Gerald had set up. They felt mysterious and far beyond what normal people could understand.

He also remembered something Gerald had told him earlier. He said that fifty million years ago, there was no Ascension Gate. This made Emrys wonder. Could it be that Lin Hao was the one who created the Ascension Gates? After all, Lin Hao was an ancient being, someone who had lived a very, very long time. It made sense that he could do something like this.

Still, Emrys was not sure. He wanted to confirm his guess. So, he asked Gerald, "Do you know who created the Ascension Gate?"

Unfortunately, Gerald had no answer. He shook his head and said, "I don’t know."

Then Gerald explained that the Ascension Gates were not always there. About a hundred years after his world was destroyed, several Ascension Gates suddenly appeared in the universe. These gates connected the Spiritarium, allowing people to travel between worlds.

No one knew who made them. They just appeared one day, standing tall and glowing with divine power.

Emrys was sure that Lin Hao was the creator of Ascension Gates. He just doesn’t know why he connected this universe to Spiritarium.

After all, Lin Hao was one of the strongest beings in the Vast Expanse of Eternity. He must have had several other ways to transcend a mere universe. It was only logical to wonder why he would connect the universe to the Spiritarium when he could have gone there on his own.

Emrys didn’t think too much.

Now, there was nothing more left for him to ask Gerald. Giving an indifferent glance to the Dragon and Phoenix Palaces, Emrys looked at Elysia and nodded. Then the two of them disappeared simultaneously, leaving Gerald behind.

Gerald, on the other hand, gritted his teeth. A furious light glowed in his eyes, but it was soon suppressed by him. In the end, he muttered, "I must inform my main body about all this."

With this, his body disintegrated into fragments of dark light before disappearing.
