Gerald had set a huge trap ten million years ago, and now, the people he had been waiting for finally appeared.

But after finishing everything, Gerald suddenly remembered someone. He remembered Lin Hao.

Lin Hao was different from others. He was a person who could not be controlled by fate or destiny. A person who could break the laws of the universe easily. A person who was never bound to a rule.

Gerald felt uneasy. What if an "Exception" like Lin Hao appeared again?

It was a risk he could not take. By that time, he had spent forty million years waiting for this moment. He could not let an "Exception" ruin everything.

So, Gerald made another plan. A secret plan.

He created another trap. This trap was not for the Wielder of Fate or the Wielder of Destiny. This trap was for the "Exception."

If someone like Lin Hao appeared again, this trap would activate. It would kill the "Exception" before they could do anything.

He affected the Mist of Abyss.

The Mist of Abyss was something beyond mortal power. Even Soul Masters from Spiritarium could not affect it. Yet Emrys somehow managed to do the impossible.

And then, Emrys destroyed the Dark Palace.

The Dark Palace was not an ordinary place. It was filled with countless deadly traps, all designed by Gerald himself. Among all those traps, only one or two had been used against Emrys. The rest were wasted.

When this happened, Gerald was furious. He had spent so much effort preparing these traps, and now, they were gone. All because of Emrys.

But then, in his anger, Gerald suddenly had a thought.

Instead of using the Wielder of Fate and the Wielder of Destiny to activate the formation and open the gate to Abyss, why not use Emrys?

Emrys is an Exception, after all. He had already proven that he could do the impossible. If anyone had the highest chance of bringing back what Gerald wanted from the Abyss, it was Emrys.
