Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 283: Ch 283: Entering The "Edge"

Chapter 283: Ch 283: Entering The "Edge"

Slivya didn’t stay for long with Emrys. She left after confirming the Curse of Echoing Silence was truly broken.

Actually, when Emrys showed his ability to manipulate ice and lightning elements, she already knew the curse was broken. After all, not just his soul, but his bloodline was also suppressed by the Curse of Echoing Silence. Only by breaking the curse could he awaken the bloodlines.

She still felt it was a pity that Emrys lost his chance to awaken ice-attributed or lightning-attributed Soul Mark. Anyway, space-attributed Soul Mark was still far better than the above two elements.

She didn’t overthink.

After checking Emrys’s body thoroughly, her face flushed with excitement. At this moment, she wanted nothing more than to give this news to her husband, Alex Frazier.

One of the reasons why Alex wanted to go beyond the Edge of Celestial Horizon was to find a way to break the curse that was suppressing Emrys. Now, there was no need to risk his life to look for a curse. Instead, he could focus solely on overcoming the danger of five great families, and the mysterious controller.

On the other hand, after Slivya left, Emrys thought for a second before releasing his Divine Sense, instantly enveloping the entire Celestial Horizon.

Soon, he saw his father, who was standing in front of a group of ten people, planning something.

After looking at his father for a while, Emrys shifted his attention to another direction. This place was completely covered in dark fog. It was located not far away from the Ice Lord Valley.

This place was the so-called "Edge" of Celestial Horizon.

He hesitated for a while and then disappeared. When his figure flashed again, he was standing before the dark foggy wall that seemed endless. No matter how far he looked, the wall stretched on and on, both in length and height. There was no way to see its edges or top.

Many had come to this place over the course of millions of years, hoping to cross the foggy barrier, but no one had ever succeeded.

Emrys stared at the foggy wall with a thoughtful expression. He had come here with a clear purpose: to see what lay beyond this mysterious edge. Was there truly a huge battlefield left behind by ancient times on the other side? Or was it just an empty area? These questions had always lingered in his mind, and now he had come here to seek the answers.

As he stood there, something strange happened. A sudden, faint feeling rose within him. It was as if something inside his body or soul had reacted to the foggy wall. However, the sensation vanished almost instantly, leaving him puzzled. He frowned, trying to understand what had just happened, but the answer escaped him. Whatever it was, it felt important, yet he had no clue what it could mean.

It was said that even Eternal Sky Soul Masters, the strongest in the known universe, could not cross this foggy barrier. Many of them had tried and failed, their efforts proving that the edge was impenetrable. Many even died mysteriously here. But Emrys was no ordinary Soul Master. He had surpassed the Eternal Sky Stage long ago. Now, he was a Luminous Void Soul Master, a level so high that most people couldn’t even imagine it. He was two entire stages above the strongest known Soul Masters of this universe.

With his incredible power, crossing this dark foggy wall should have been an easy task for him. Emrys was confident in his strength.

Without hesitation, he took a deep breath and stepped forward into the fog.

As soon as he entered, the surroundings changed dramatically. The fog was thick and dark, swirling all around him. It was like stepping into a cloud, but this fog was heavier and seemed alive. The air was cold and damp, and visibility was almost zero. He could barely see more than a few steps ahead of him. The dark fog seemed to stretch endlessly in every direction, creating an eerie and quiet atmosphere.

Emrys walked slowly, his sharp senses fully alert. He could feel that the fog wasn’t normal. It carried a strange, oppressive energy that tried to press down on him, as if testing his strength. However, the pressure was nothing to Emrys. His powerful Soul Force resisted it easily, and he continued forward without any difficulty.

As he walked deeper into the fog, faint sounds began to reach his ears. It was hard to tell what they were, but they sounded distant and strange like someone was talking in his ears. Emrys paused for a moment, narrowing his eyes as he listened carefully. The sounds were faint, almost like they were calling to him, but they made no sense.

The deeper he went, the darker the fog became. It was as if he was entering a completely different world, one filled with mystery and danger. Despite the unknown, Emrys’s steps remained steady. He continued to walk.

"Hmm?"

Emrys’s steps paused suddenly, and his sharp eyes narrowed. Then a confused expression appeared on his face.

A strange energy brushed past his senses, something he couldn’t ignore. After a moment of focus, he seemed to be startled.

"Abyssal Energy?" he muttered in disbelief.

It was unmistakable; he had sensed Abyssal Energy within this thick foggy area.

But something felt off. He couldn’t pinpoint the exact direction it was coming from. The energy seemed to drift aimlessly, as if scattered by the fog itself. Still, the mere presence of Abyssal Energy here was astonishing.

This was the second time Emrys had encountered Abyssal Energy since arriving in the Celestial Horizon.

Emrys frowned as thoughts raced through his mind. However, Emrys quickly realized something. Although he was not sure, it appears that Abyssals themselves hadn’t entered this world yet. It seemed they were still searching for a way to break through. For now, only their energy had seeped through somehow, invading the Celestial Horizon.

Alex soon relaxed.

However, before he could relax completely, something reacted and appeared right in front of his eyes.

It was a deformed sword.
