Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 228: Ch 228: Legacy

Chapter 228: Ch 228: Legacy

In the next few months, Emrys visited all the top forces of the world and personally killed many Supreme Cosmic Apprentices and Exalted Cosmic Apprentices, and many of them submitted to him early on to save their own lives.

He forced all the top forces to bow down to him and truly established his rule from then onward. Just like that, he became the ruler of the world.

However, the trial didn’t end there which confused Emrys. After all, the trial was for him to become the ruler of this world, and he achieved exactly that feat. Generally speaking, the trial should have ended, but it didn’t which in itself was a big question mark.

With no other option, Emrys kept ruling the world for another two years. During these years, he introduced new laws that would help the weak and the poor. He made a rule that said, "All people are equal, no matter their power or status," which made the ordinary people very happy. The common folk, who had less power and lower status, admired Emrys for protecting their rights and praised him greatly.

Of course, the powerful and wealthy didn’t feel the same way. They were not happy with the changes because they had lost some of their control. Still, Emrys didn’t care about their complaints. He continued to shape the world in a way that gave everyone, even the weakest, a chance to live better lives.

Despite the praise and the changes he brought, Emrys still wondered why the trial had not ended. He had accomplished everything he thought was necessary, but not being able to complete the trial and return left him frustrated.

Of course, during these two years, he also became an advanced Supreme Cosmic Apprentice. Now, just one step away from becoming an Enlightened Cosmic Master.

Unlike Cosmic Apprentices, there are no Ordinary Cosmic Masters. Instead, there are three ranks: Enlightened Cosmic Masters, Exalted Cosmic Masters, and Supreme Cosmic Masters. Each of these ranks is further divided into three stages: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Once someone reaches the advanced stage of a Supreme Cosmic Master, they can absorb star energy to temper their Cosmic Essence Core. When the Cosmic Essence Core is fully tempered, it undergoes a transformation, allowing the individual to break through and become a Starlight Master.

There are two realms of Starlight Masters: Exalted Starlight Master and Supreme Starlight Master, each also divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced stages. The Supreme Starlight Master is the highest level a person can cultivate within a Cosmic Field in the Cosmic Cultivation System.

Emrys was now only one step away from entering the ranks of Cosmic Masters.

On this day, as Emrys sat in the grand hall of his palace, thinking why he was unable to complete the trial, a strange feeling washed over him that startled him.

He stood up in shock, but then his eyes lit up. "Here it is!"

The air around him shifted all of a sudden, becoming heavier and filled with an invisible pressure. A wave of ripple swept through the entire world, stopping the world’s time. Only Emrys was unaffected by this power.

A screen appeared before his eyes.

[It has been detected that more than 80% of the population in this world has accepted you as their leader. Around 10% are considering rebellion but fear your strength, while the remaining group remains neutral yet still admires your power.]

[The conditions are met, thus the trial is now deemed complete. You may return to reality!]

"So that’s how it is!"

Emrys suddenly realized why nothing had happened even after he had become the ruler of this world. It turned out he needed to fulfill a few conditions. Had he not worked hard these two years to restructure this world’s laws and rules, he may not have been able to fulfill the condition and failed the trial.

The moment the air around him shifted, Emrys already knew his time to return back to reality had come.

Cracks started to appear in the world around him, and very soon, the space shattered like a mirror.

Just like that, Emrys found himself standing on top of a huge platform, under the blue sky.

Before he could take a look around, he sensed something unusual. It is as if something very powerful was coming for him.

Suddenly, the skies turned dark and a mysterious force surrounded the entire place. Clouds gathered in the sky and crackled with dark lightning.

In the distance, a massive portal appeared in the sky. It was swirling with dark clouds and energy, unlike anything Emrys had seen before. The portal seemed to be tearing the very space, and from it, strange voices echoed. This voice carried a weight that made Emrys feel heavy all over the body.

As he stared at the portal, a figure slowly emerged from it. This figure was cloaked in black and even though Emrys couldn’t see his face clearly, he felt an overwhelming power coming from this figure. The air around the figure crackled with energy and the ground beneath Emrys trembled.

That figure slowly descended and landed in front of Emrys. Emrys suddenly felt a gaze that seemed to be looking directly into his soul. Then, a deep and commanding voice echoed in the air, "You have done well, Emrys Frazier. You have passed the first trial."

"I have created a total of three trials. There are still two more trials left for you to complete. You can go through the second trial after becoming a Starborn Ascendant. Here is the reward for passing the first trial."

As soon as the figure finished speaking, a bright ray of light shot from their hand and headed straight for Emrys. Before he could react, the light entered his mind. For a moment, Emrys felt a rush of intense energy, as if the whole universe had poured into his consciousness.

This ray of light contained Sage’s legacy. Emrys could feel the knowledge and wisdom of countless battles, cosmic arts, and forgotten ancient techniques flowing into his mind. It was overwhelming at first, but slowly, he began to absorb it, and the knowledge became clear.

Images of the powerful figure who once ruled the entire Vast Expanse of Eternity appeared in Emrys’s mind. His legacy was simply legendary, capable of shaking the heavens and causing wars to break out everywhere.

The legacy Emrys received from completing the first trial was enough to bring Emrys to the top of a Cosmic Field in terms of the Cosmic Cultivation System.

Before this, Emrys was able to increase his strength by killing cosmic beasts. He never cultivated a Cosmic Cultivation Technique. Now, several proper cultivation techniques appeared in his mind.

Even without killing Cosmic Beasts, he can now cultivate in the Cosmic Cultivation System.

Emrys stood still. His eyes were closed, focusing on the immense information flowing within his mind.

After a few moments, Emrys opened his eyes. He now felt slightly different. The legacy he had just received would guide him in his next trials and help him face the challenges that lay ahead.

Of course, that day is still far.

Now that Emrys has received the first part of Sage’s legacy, it is time for him to return to the Infinite Soul Star.

The figure in black was obviously Sage, or at least his remnant soul.

Although the figure in black didn’t introduce himself, since he said he created three trials, it indirectly revealed his identity.

When Emrys opened his eyes, the figure in black spoke once more before disappearing, "Use the legacy wisely. The trials ahead will test you in different ways. Remember, only the strong can survive and ascend to the highest levels of the Cosmos. You must cultivate properly."

With that, the portal in the sky slowly closed and the figure vanished into thin air. The darkness disappeared and the sky returned to normal.

.....

"I’ll leave then," Emrys looked at Radcliffe and said his goodbye before leaving the Arkhaven.

After receiving the first part of the legacy, it was time for Emrys to leave. He met Radcliffe after coming out of the Legacy Ground and described his experience.

Emrys spent about six years in the virtual world. In the outside world, three years had already passed.

In other words, the time difference between Legacy Ground and reality was 2:1. Two years inside the Legacy Ground was equivalent to one year in the real world.

Emrys also learned from Radcliffe that the higher the level of a world, the slower the passage of time.

In other words, if this fragmented Cosmic World is still a higher leveled world compared to the Infinite Soul Star, maybe more than twenty or thirty years would have already passed there.

Of course, everything has yet to be confirmed. He has to first return to the Infinite Soul Star to know.

"I think, it is time for me to return!"

On top of the mountain peak, Emrys looked at the forest outside and sighed. He then took out the Eternal Token, ready to activate it, and teleport directly to the Infinite Soul Star.

However, before he could do that, he felt something burning within him.

Nightshade Symbol.

Elysia had once given Emrys the Nightshade Symbol that represents her. Now, this symbol was burning. Suddenly, the fabric of space around Emrys started to fluctuate violently.

"This is..."

Emrys knew what was coming. It seems Elysia finally remembered about him. He silently kept the Eternal Token back in his spatial ring and waited for Elysia to call him back.
