Chapter 175: Ch 175: Sunfire Heartseed!
Chapter 175: Ch 175: Sunfire Heartseed!
Qin Huxiao felt a growing sense of dread. He knew just how powerful the Lightning Seal was and understood that with his current strength, he had no chance to control it. The seal’s reaction was intensifying, as if something within it was on the verge of breaking free. He could also sense a fierce, almost desperate longing emanating from whatever was trapped inside the seal. It has an overwhelming urge to enter the magnificent hall and claim something "precious", something vital to its very existence.
For some reason, this alone was giving him a bad feeling. He doesn’t know what exactly this Lightning Seal that he obtained from a statue right after entering the last layer, the Seventh Layer of the Lightning Domain.
This is where the remains of an ancient force called the Ancient Lightning Divine Hall should have been, but all there was a statue and nothing else.
He suffered too much to enter the Seventh Layer. His body was riddled with terrible wounds and burns, but all he saw there was a lone stone statue.
Since the statue remained unharmed even in the Seventh Layer of the Lightning Domain, where countless bolts of destructive lightning rained down from the sky, it was clear that this statue was no ordinary object.
At first, he felt disappointed, but as he approached the statue, a ray of light shot out and entered his body. This was when the Lightning Seal appeared on his chest. Astonishingly, 90% of his wounds healed within seconds.
It was then that he sensed something beneath the ground. For the first time, the Lightning Seal reacted, guiding him in a specific direction. Following its lead, he surprisingly discovered an underground space after passing through an invisible barrier. He realized that it was only thanks to the Lightning Seal that he was able to bypass the barrier; without it, breaking through the barrier would have required much more effort.
He covered a difficult journey inside the underground space and escaped death several times. He was excited and thought this was where the inheritance of Ancient Lightning Divine Hall might be located.
However, it was then he encountered something horrible and almost lost his life. Fortunately, he had several trump cards to save his own life and managed to escape. That is when he ended up in the narrow passageway and came to this place.
He never expected something worse to be coming again, and this time, it was from inside his own body.
Qin Huxiao didn’t want to let whatever it was that wanted to break out of the Lightning Seal out, so he gritted his teeth and forced himself to stand up with all his might, walking up the step by step.
Qin Huxiao felt as if all the bones in his body had been broken. The pain he felt as he walked was simply unbearable. The skin all over his body had been split open and a lot of blood was flowing out. Thus as he walked, he left behind a line of blood and bloody footprints.
Before the appearance of the golden lightning dragon, Qin Huxiao was just about to enter the magnificent hall but was forced a few steps away after the dragon made its appearance. Now, after taking a few steps, he was once again only one step away from entering the magnificent hall. He adjusted his breathing at the entrance for a bit and then stepped into the great hall.
The moment he stepped through the door, his entire body was bathed in the brilliant golden light that seemed to have come from out of nowhere. At this moment, the Lightning Seal on his chest also trembled violently.
Under the bathing of the golden light, Qin Huxiao’s injuries gradually healed. It took a long time for the golden light inside the hall to disappear. Only after some time did Qin Huxiao see the hall and raise his brows in surprise. His eyes widened in shock.
.....
Node Shift!
Emrys used his Node Shift ability to teleport directly inside a cave located at the bottom of the Blazing Pond.
In order to be safe, Emrys activated his three-dimensional world that covered a radius of a thousand meters and witnessed everything there was for him to see.
He saw a cave right at the bottom of the Blazing Pond that was about 700 meters below the surface level. This entire pond was filled with fiery water, it was so hot that creatures would be boiled to death the instant they came in contact with the water. The burning sensation would be much higher than being burned by fire.
However, the cave that was located at the depth of the pond did not have even a trace of water or fiery energy inside. If there was anything, then it was abundant vitality, and that’s all.
Emrys could not see the entire cave because it was simply too big and deep. It went outside the range of Emrys’s three-dimensional world.
There was nothing inside the Blazing Pond other than this cave. Emrys chose to enter this cave because the vitality here was so dense that it was impossible for nothing to exist there. Most importantly, he was sure that the High-tier Abyssal was unaware of this cave’s existence.
Talking about the Supreme Stage High-tier Abyssal, Emrys also saw it. There was another cavern about a hundred meters away from Emrys. The High-tier Abyssal was drawing something on the ground, more like a circle but filled with intricate patterns. He was using his blood to draw that circle.
Emrys noticed an almond-sized seed right in the middle of the circle. It was shining as bright as the sun and traces of strong vitality could be felt from this seed. Although Emrys was not there in person, he still felt that there was something aside from vitality present inside this seed and that something was capable of burning his soul. This was the sensation he felt from that seed.
"The Sunfire Heartseed!"
Emrys knew at that moment it was the Sunfire Heartseed. So without any hesitation, he used his Node Shift ability to steal the seed silently and immediately put it away in his spatial ring without taking a closer look. Then he again executed the ability, Node Shift, to teleport inside the cave.
He was not afraid of the Abyssal. It is just that if he can avoid fighting, he will do so!
