Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 174: Ch 174: The Lightning Seal

Chapter 174: Ch 174: The Lightning Seal

Emrys never expected the Blazing Pond to look like this. In his mind, it must have been a pond filled with lava or molten rock, radiating intense heat and surrounded by an inhospitable, barren landscape.

However, this place was completely different from his imagination. The pond was nestled in a lush, vibrant environment, teeming with life. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the hum of insects, creating a stark contrast to the fiery essence that radiated from the water itself. The pond’s surface shimmered with a fiery glow, but the surrounding area was green and full of vitality, though the vitality had an intense and fiery nature.

"It is such a weird place!" Emrys muttered to himself as he moved forward, but abruptly stopped in his tracks.

.....

On the other hand, somewhere within the thunder domain, Qin Huxiao opened his eyes and curiously looked around. He found himself standing in a narrow passage. Anxiously, he checked his entire body and, finding no injuries, he heaved a sigh of relief. Once reassured, he began to observe his surroundings again, but this time with eyes sparkling with interest.

The path was paved with bluestone, wide enough for two people to walk side by side. Fire torches burned on either side of the stone walls, casting flickering shadows and creating a dim, mysterious atmosphere. The passage seemed endless, with the far end shrouded in darkness, out of sight.

"This?" Qin Huxiao muttered, his voice tinged with surprise and curiosity.

Suddenly, he heard a faint sound and felt a strange, summoning power. It was as if something deep within the passage was calling to him. The sensation was akin to a spiritual fluctuation, a subtle but unmistakable tug on his senses, drawing him forward. If one listened carefully, they would realize that Qin Huxiao was being beckoned by this mysterious force.

The moment the fluctuation touched a "lightning seal" on Qin Huxiao’s chest, the seal immediately became restless, making Qin Huxiao himself uneasy. Unable to resist the pull, he involuntarily started to follow the passage, walking forward with a sense of urgency. He walked for around four hours before finally reaching the end of the passage.

Stepping out of the narrow corridor, an incomparably shocking scene immediately unfolded before his eyes.

A vast limestone plaza stretched out before him, surrounded by hundreds of palaces constructed from bluestone blocks. The sight was breathtaking. The sky above the palaces was adorned with countless precious gems and pearls, resembling stars twinkling in a night sky. These luminescent gems illuminated the entire space, creating an otherworldly glow that made it seem as if this place was its own secluded world.

"Damn! What a massive underground palace. Who built this place with such extravagance? Just what kind of inheritance is hidden here?" Qin Huxiao exclaimed, taking a deep breath as he stood petrified by the awe-inspiring sight before him.

At that moment, the summoning sensation returned, even stronger and clearer than before. It was no longer just an energy fluctuation; it felt like someone was calling to him, using words.

"Come!"

"Come here!"

"Come!"

The voice echoed with an endless sense of age, as if it had traveled through the eons from ancient times. Simultaneously, the lightning seal on his chest became increasingly restless, resonating with the ancient call.

Qin Huxiao’s heart was uneasy. He hesitated but still chose to walk slowly forward. He had received this lightning seal from an ancient statue upon entering the core area of the Lightning Domain.

Following the sound of the summoning, Qin Huxiao walked across the plaza and onto a wide bluestone street. On both sides of the street stood neat rows of palaces of varying sizes, all made from the same bluestone as the street itself.

The street was only a few hundred meters long, with many forks between the palaces. At the end of the street stood an even more magnificent palace. The summoning call was emanating from this grand structure.

Along the way, Qin Huxiao discovered that these palaces were a shocking treasury. From the street, he could see countless heavenly and earthly treasures inside the palaces. Rare weapons, valuable materials, and even mountains of energy stones filled the interiors.

Despite the overwhelming wealth on display, Qin Huxiao didn’t realize something was amiss. It all seemed very normal to him, as if he was under some kind of spell or illusion.

As he walked, Qin Huxiao suddenly saw a treasured spear inside one of the palaces. It was completely blood-red, emitting a dazzling bloody glow.

In another palace, he noticed several swords neatly arranged on a stone counter in the hall. They looked extremely sharp and emitted a threatening cold aura.

In yet another palace, he saw a blue pill bottle emitting a sparkling glow.

In short, he could easily see into every palace, each filled with marvelous treasures. The abundance and variety of treasures were enough to shock the entire world. If they ever made their way to his original world, they would surely attract fierce fighting and a storm of blood and destruction.

It wasn’t that Qin Huxiao didn’t want to take the treasures. Looking at them, he was already salivating. Unfortunately, for some strange reason, he just couldn’t make a move to take them. He didn’t even want to enter the palaces, which was very bizarre.

The crucial thing was that although Qin Huxiao knew it was bizarre, it all felt perfectly normal to him. There was nothing out of the ordinary.

Qin Huxiao continued walking toward the magnificent palace at the end of the street.

As he neared, he saw clearly that two enormous stone pillars stood in front of the palace entrance. They stretched up, seemingly connecting to the sky and giving the impression of supporting the entire space like two pillars reaching into the heavens.

The stone pillars were covered in intricate golden patterns, resembling streaks of lightning dancing across their surfaces.

The door to the palace was open, emitting auspicious rays of golden light. Above the entrance, two large golden words were inscribed: "Venerable Hall."

At that moment, the summoning voice became even clearer, and the Lightning Seal on Qin Huxiao’s chest grew more agitated.

After observing the entrance and finding no restrictions, Qin Huxiao cautiously stepped forward, intending to enter the palace.

However, as soon as he set his foot on the first step, the patterns on the stone pillars seemed to awaken. Golden light burst forth from them, shooting into the sky and transforming into a massive golden dragon, its entire body flickering with golden lightning.

The dragon gazed at Qin Huxiao and opened its enormous mouth.

Puff!

Crackle~

A terrifying pressure descended from the sky. The suddenness of this pressure left Qin Huxiao no time to prepare. As the pressure enveloped his body, he was immediately pinned to the ground, unable to move a muscle. His bones creaked and crackled under the immense force.

Within seconds, Qin Huxiao’s body was severely deformed by the pressure, blood seeping from multiple wounds. He felt an overwhelming suffocation, and a thick aura of death enveloped him, assaulting his senses.

At this critical moment, the Lightning Seal on Qin Huxiao’s chest emitted a faint wave of energy. As soon as the energy wave radiated out, the Golden Lightning Dragon in the sky shut its mouth and its fierce demeanor softened. The overwhelming pressure vanished instantly, and Qin Huxiao felt a strange sense of the dragon’s submission, as if it had recognized him as its master.

The dragon, now calm, descended from the sky and spoke in human language. "The Ancestral Lightning Seal has appeared. You may enter. If you obtain the inheritance, I will submit to you."

With that, the dragon transformed back into the two giant stone pillars at the palace entrance, returning to its original state. The golden light that had been illuminating the pillars dissipated, leaving only the serene silence of the grand entrance.

At the same time, the sudden release of pressure left Qin Huxiao feeling weak and disoriented. He stumbled and fell backward, landing hard on his buttocks and coughing up a mouthful of blood.

Even though the intense pressure had vanished, his body was still badly injured, and he barely had the strength to move. He had no chance to recover before the Lightning Seal on his chest began to react violently. It felt as though something within was trying to break free from the seal.

Qin Huxiao groaned in pain, clutching his chest and feeling helpless. He couldn’t seek assistance from the remnant soul of the ancient expert since it couldn’t manifest and was incapable of helping him in this state. The remnant spirit was in danger of being destroyed if it revealed itself within the ancient site, so it remained hidden.

As the seconds ticked by, the Lightning Seal’s reaction grew increasingly intense, and Qin Huxiao could only endure the mounting pressure.

Most importantly, the summoning sound was becoming louder and louder with each passing second, causing his heart to restless every time. His entire being wanted to voluntarily enter the magnificent hall, but he was unable to due to injuries.
