Emrys struggled to comprehend the surreal sight before him. The translucent form of his soul, ensnared by ominous ropes of cursed energy, floated in a void of darkness. The sight of his own soul, bound and restricted by the ropes of cursed energy, was both terrifying and surreal.

Emrys took a deep breath, trying to steady his racing heart. The golden figure, Ling Xiaolong, continued to speak with a calm authority that made Emrys feel slightly more at ease despite the unsettling revelation.

"You see, Emrys," Ling Xiaolong continued, "the Curse of Echoing Silence is not just an ordinary curse. It is a profound seal that binds every fiber of your soul. To break free, you need an external force, a pure soul, unaffected by this curse, to infuse with your own."

The golden figure, Ling Xiaolong, stopped for a few seconds before began to speak again, his voice resonating with an almost musical quality, "As I mentioned, you need a soul unaffected by this curse to break free. This means you must cultivate a new soul, one that exists alongside your cursed soul but remains untouched by the Curse of Echoing Silence."

Emrys listened intently, trying to grasp the gravity of the situation. "But where can I find such a soul? And how do I merge it with mine?"

The golden figure smiled. His smile was gentle yet seemed to hold the weight of countless secrets. He said, "You won’t be able to find a pure soul anywhere. But I can give it to you!"

"Really?" Emrys’s eyes widened in excitement. He could not help but say, "Then please give me that soul!"

The golden figure shook his head. He said, but in a manner that appeared as if he was talking to himself, "In the end, you are still a kid without any experience."

Emrys: "?"

He failed to understand what the golden figure meant by saying those words.

Ling Xiaolong spoke again, "Fusing with a soul that is not yours comes with a great price. I do have a soul with me, but remember, once you choose to fuse with this soul, you will no longer be you anymore!"

"True nature? What do you mean, sir?" Emrys was confused, but he was trembling inside.

Ling Xiaolong said, "You will know later. For now, just understand that for a long time, you will become a part of the other soul. However, that part which is you will be in a sealed state so that the curse will not expand to the other soul, polluting it. When the other soul becomes strong enough to awaken his true nature or..."

It was very confusing to understand Ling Xiaolong’s words, but Emrys still grasped most of them. He understood what the golden figure wanted to say.

Emrys understood that the golden figure was telling him about a complicated process. The curse that was affecting his soul could not be broken immediately. Instead, another soul would take over his body and live his life. Due to the fusion of their souls, the other soul will obtain his memories as well.

This other soul would need to become powerful enough to reveal its true nature or obtain a cursed nature. Only then could the curse be lifted or swallowed, allowing Emrys to merge with this soul and become a single entity.

Emrys did not know what the golden figure meant exactly when he spoke of the other soul’s true nature, but he did realize that for a long time, he would be in a sealed state within his own body, unable to do anything. He understood that the other soul would not become his part, instead, he would essentially become a part of this other soul, waiting for the day when the curse would be lifted and they could truly become one.

Yes, even after the fusion of their soul, they would not become one immediately. In order to truly become one, the curse has to be broken first.
