Chapter 59: Spirit Invasion Part 3
Chapter 59: Spirit Invasion Part 3
Boom!
Everything collided against each other at once.
Nobody was able to sense the presence of the portal until it appeared.
Just when Misaka looked at Tyler, Tyler was also looking at her.
The moment he realized she was in deep trouble, he instantly used half of his Aura to generate a portal beneath her.
The distance between them was quite big.
He had exerted half of his Aura just to release the portal, and his consumption only increased because he was holding the portal for too long.
Even so, he couldn’t let Misaka suffer from those attacks.
As soon as Misaka appeared next to him, they heard a loud explosion that spanned several hundred kilometers in area.
The entire section of that part was shattered into pieces.
The ground that remained was scorched into magma, while the air was so hot that it created a hurricane.
The air kept blasting everywhere, even disturbing the entire battle by itself.
Several of the smaller spirits got destroyed by the hurricane alone, and it would have killed his people if not for Fang using his wind element.
As a dragon, he had absolute control over wind, allowing him to block the hurricane before it could reach their city.
Tyler turned towards Misaka and chuckled.
"Seems like awakening Space Ability wasn’t so bad after all."
"Not at all!"
Even Misaka realized the potential of this ability. But while she did have the Portal ability, she didn’t awaken it.
So, while in the middle of that attack, she thought of using her gravity ability instead of the portal.
"But you are low in Aura. Let me help you!"
She said as she placed her palm on his chest and activated her skill.
[Power Transfer]
[Eighth Skill- Energy Transfer]
As she released this ability, she started pouring a lot of physical and mental energy into his body.
As they recovered, Tyler started producing his Aura, refilling his reserve.
"Hold out for a little long, will you?"
Tyler looked at Misaka and asked.
Misaka took a deep breath and said.
"Don’t worry, I will definitely hold them back."
Tyler nodded as he said.
"Good! Then, I will end all of the others!"
He said before running towards the remaining weaker spirits. There were still hundreds of them, but only three of them were Fourth Rank.
Now, he just needed to finish them.
Tyler immediately ran towards those three spirits.
These spirits were unique in their rights.
One of them could conjure ghost-like puppets, another could create clay structures, while the last one could generate wind.
Just like Fang, this spirit was the reason why not all spirits were destroyed by that hurricane.
It was so powerful that it had created a crater that was ten times bigger than his city.
The wind didn’t just carry force. It carried a shockwave from that explosion.
That’s why Tyler asked Misaka to hold them back until he could finish these spirits.
He let Alex, Fang, and Moko’s shadows destroy the remaining of the spirits.
He realized that others weren’t able to do anything. Originally, they could fight Street Level Spirits, but that shockwave killed them all.
Only the City Level Spirits and higher survived.
If they wanted to fight a City-Level Spirit, they would need to combine their strength. Even then, they might fail.
Rose and others weren’t idiots. When they saw those shadows coming to fight their opponent, they realized Tyler’s intention and backed away.
Even with all of their desire and willpower, there was a hurdle that they couldn’t finish.
And, this was their hurdle.
After they retreated, Tyler simply put all of his focus on those spirits in front of him.
One of them had already started attacking him using several puppets. Each of these puppets resembled humans, but their attacks had different substances.
One hand held a sharp drill while the other held sharp needles. Some eyes would shoot out a beam of yellow light.
Tyler was left to dodge by running all around the field. He would often rely on his Space Element, but very little, knowing he couldn’t waste his Aura.
As he found those puppets lacking the energy to run, he instantly rushed forward with all of his speed, coating his body with a bolt of lightning.
This lightning turned into a long chain that wrapped around his chest.
He threw the chain around the puppets, and when he appeared behind, he pulled the chain.
Crack! Bang!
With a powerful pull and destructive capabilities of the lightning, those puppets broke into pieces and scattered everywhere.
This instantly left the spirit to make new puppets, but it also left it vulnerable.
Just when Tyler was about to use that vulnerability, another spirit came in front of him and attacked.
The massive clay giant smashed its fist down, causing an earthquake. Although Tyler managed to dodge it, the ground cracked, and he lost his footing.
Another spirit instantly took advantage of this and attacked with several sharp wind blades from behind.
Tyler seemed to have sensed these wind blades.
How could he not? He had faced someone stronger than this spirit using the same element.
He maneuvered his body in mid-air to dodge the wind blades. Although one of the wind blades managed to slice through his arm, it didn’t matter much.
The wound started healing by the time he landed on a piece of rock.
Tyler realized that if he wanted to take them down. He must finish the wind spirit first.
[Third Skill- Shambles]
As he utilized his skill, he instantly appeared behind the wind spirit. Before it could even react, he coated his hand with lightning and thrust it forward.
[Lightning Cutter]
Splash!
His hand pierced through the chest of the spirit, and it exploded like a balloon releasing a large amount of energy all around it.
"One down, two more to go!"
A strong resolve appeared on his face as he decided to go all out and finish these spirits as quickly as possible.
Otherwise, Misaka would only be dragged into a troublesome situation.
After destroying this spirit, he quickly sprinted towards the puppet spirit using his lightning cloak.
He didn’t use his spatial ability since these spirits have the ability to remember his moves.
Sneak attack like shambles could only work once unless he was distracted.
As he approached the puppet spirit, his eyes glowed with lightning. He raised his right arm, and lightning flowed.
It turned into a long chain of lightning that he threw towards the puppet spirit.
When the puppet spirit saw this, it immediately ran away. It knew what these chains could do.
But this was exactly what Tyler wanted.
When it moved, it got distracted.
And that was all the distraction he needed to finish this spirit.
[Third Skill- Shambles]
As he appeared in the place of its puppet, he instantly wrapped the puppet spirit using his chain and crushed its body.
The spirit exploded.
"Two down!"
