Chapter 58: Spirit Invasion Part 2

Chapter 58: Spirit Invasion Part 2

The level of destruction that his flames caused was enough not only kill both of the Mountain Level Spirits but also several City Level Spirits.

His flames spread kilometers away, causing a similar level of destruction while moving.

After killing three of those spirits, he turned around to look at his friends.

Misaka was holding back a Continent Level Spirit alongside several of the Country Level Spirits.

If even a single Country Level Spirit tried to attack him, Tyler knew he wouldn’t be able to stop it easily.

At least, he wouldn’t be able to help others.

So, Misaka was doing her best.

Her eyes were constantly flickering, creating and changing the gravity around her.

While blocking the Continent Level Spirit with her Super Heavy Realm, she was also using Almighty Pull to stop any country-level spirit from moving.

Eventually, even those spirits realized they wouldn’t be able to escape from Misaka without killing her.

She was absorbing their energy to constantly refill her Aura, making it impossible to defeat her.

And if they couldn’t defeat her, they didn’t have a chance to pass by her.

The continent-level spirit released an arrow made out of dark energy.

Sensing the level of destruction this arrow could cause, she immediately controlled the gravity to influence the arrow.

But the arrow didn’t get attracted by the gravity; it kept moving towards her at an extraordinary speed.

Seeing this, Misaka realized that this skill had the ability to ignore gravity. But she wasn’t sure if it was just ignoring gravity or other defensive measures.

So, she released her Almighty Pull to take out a massive mountain from the side and used it to block the arrow.

Bang!

When the arrow came in contact with the mountain, it released an explosion that evaporated the mountain on the spot.

At this moment, Misaka saw something and analyzed the power of her opponent.

’That’s not a normal dark energy. He is using some special effects of the dark energy. What could it be?’

’Corrosion, but it shouldn’t be able to block the effects of gravity. Is poisoning the same? Shadow? It can block gravity, but it doesn’t have destructiveness like this.’

’Wait, what if this is the combination of two attributes in a single skill? That’s possible. Unlike us, spirits and monsters grow stronger without skills.’

’That allows them to use the fullest potential of their ability without even achieving a very high level of mastery over it.’

’So, this spirit is using shadow and corrosion? Let’s test it out!’

She thought to herself as she moved her palm forward, and an intense gravity emerged from her palm, pulling out a massive chunk of the ground.

She hurled that piece towards the spirit, but the spirit released another arrow that destroyed the piece of the ground.

This time, she got a better look at the destruction.

Unfortunately, before she could try again, those country-level spirits started interfering, using their abilities from afar to disturb her.

This wasn’t good for her. Especially since she had to look out of the continent level spirit.

Their attacks were also quite diverse.

One of them was using Ice Ability, while the other was using Explosion ability, the third one was using plant-based ability, while the fourth one was using spiraling disks.

All of them had unique long-range attacks.

Especially the one with spiraling disks. These disks were quite dangerous, even for her, as one of these could explode while another could trap her.

If not for her strong senses, she would’ve been trapped by one of those disks a long time ago.

More importantly, the ice spirit and plant spirit were also using their abilities to create constructs and bind her movement.

The plants were incredibly durable unless she used the explosion ability she copied to blow them up.

But even so, the explosion spirit had an absolute advantage to defuse her explosions or at least, control the range of her explosions.

It turned out this spirit didn’t just release an explosion. It could control the shockwave and flames caused by the explosion.

And every time it used explosions, they would be quite diverse. It could release an explosion from tiny ants or gigantic rocks.

This made it impossible to keep her eyes on it every time.

These factors were making it harder and harder for her to cope with the situation.

Especially since the continent-level spirit wasn’t weaker than hers.

It was on her level. The only advantage she had was her Power Transfer ability, which had helped her stay in the battle even after all this time.

’No, I can’t continue this. If I continue, my body will either be torn by explosion, or they will understand the range of my Power Transfer.’

’All of them have long-range attacks. If they understand the range of my Power Transfer, I will be at an instant disadvantage.’

’So, I need to use my Power Transfer less. But if I don’t use my Power Transfer, I will not be able to cope with their attacks.’

’What should I do?’

She thought to herself in the moment of panic and turned her eyes towards Tyler for answers.

Her dependency on Tyler almost made her realize that she needed his instructions every time she wanted to do something.

This was a big taboo in the battle, causing her to lose focus.

And those spirits wouldn’t hesitate to utilize this advantage for themselves. They immediately attacked her from all sides.

The continent-level spirit released his arrow. The ice spirit dropped a massive chunk of ice from the sky.

The explosion spirit released a purple ball of energy towards her. The plant spirit released the wide-scale attack that surrounded her with several large trees.

Finally, the disk spirit released nearly twenty of those disks, each with slightly different objectives, from all directions.

At this moment, it almost looked like she couldn’t face these attacks. And, she truly couldn’t.

In the face of despair, she decided to release Super Almighty Push, but suddenly, a portal appeared underneath her feet.

Whoosh!
