So, I could only provide help through Casper.

"You are right. Why didn’t I think of that? You are better than me when it comes to hacking, how about I introduce you to her so that she can learn more advanced knowledge. This way, she will grow her company faster." Casper suggested and I was over the moon.

However, I couldn’t show too much eagerness, otherwise, it would raise suspicions.

"I have been too busy lately. I am re-investigating some cases that seem suspicious. Someone entrusted me to investigate Jude Smith’s case from eight years ago. So, I don’t have much time recently."

"Oh, by the way, that girl’s name is Valerie Jude Smith. I saw her identity card today when she was processing the paperwork for the house she bought and she is turning eighteen the day after tomorrow. What a coincidence that she has the same surname as the person in your case. Oh, I almost forgot, I should buy her a birthday gift for coming of age and becoming an adult." Casper went on but my mind had already drifted.

As I had guessed, my fated mate was really Jude Smith’s daughter.

No wonder Alma specifically asked me to re-investigate his case and take the time to get close to her.

"What is with you today? Anyway, I was saying that Valerie’s birthday is the day after tomorrow and I still don’t know what to buy her as a gift." Casper spoke and that made my heart jump.

She was coming of age. As her fated mate, I must also give her a fitting gift.

"Well, you know her better than me. So, you will probably think of something that she would like." Since I know nothing about my mate, I can just use my friend to learn more about her.

Once Casper left, Alaric almost jumped out causing me to shift.

"Can you be a little more restrained? You will give us away if you continue to behave like that." I warned.

"I am just too excited. After so many years, we finally have a mate. I can’t wait to see her." Alaric spoke excitedly.

"You can’t be too forward. We are supposed to win her over with our actions, not the mate bond, remember? Don’t act recklessly and scare her away." I warned Alaric again.

If this wolf kept at it, our mate might just run.

"I know. I have waited for so long, I am not about to make that mistake."

"Then you have to remember your promise once we meet in two days. Don’t scare her."

"I know, I know. Don’t worry so much and focus on finding evidence against those who killed her father. Clearing his name might give us more leverage in winning her over." Alaric urged me.

Of course, I was aware of this, but I also needed to find her a suitable gift for her upcoming birthday.

I couldn’t just choose something lame because we haven’t accepted each other yet.
