Three Alphas, Fated To One, Played By One, But Mated To One

Chapter 126: First Night

Chapter 126: First Night

Valerie’s POV

The silence was the first thing I noticed after the taxi disappeared.

It wasn’t the kind of suffocating silence that made one unsettled, nor was it the kind of silence I had experienced in the pack house when everyone pretended I didn’t exist.

It was a kind of silence that brought peace. One that made everything feel alive, including myself.

I could hear the faint rustling of leaves, the distant chirping of birds, and the whisper of wind brushing against the trees surrounding me in every direction.

It was as if the forest was breathing and it made my heart skip in joy.

I stepped forward slowly, my boots crunching lightly against the gravel path as I approached the house.

My house.

The thought of it made it feel so surreal.

I actually owned a physical property in this world.

Just a few months ago, I couldn’t even afford to eat a full meal, yet now, I was buying property worth millions without batting an eye.

This was the kind of life I wanted to live. I never want to be at the mercy of others ever again.

I reached the front door and paused for a moment, staring at it.

No one would ever stand on this doorway and gossip about me or slander me.

I didn’t have to endure humiliation just to have a place to lay my head in.

This was my personal space and I owned it completely.

I just couldn’t get that thought out of my mind.

I pulled out the keys the agent had given me and unlocked the door.

Stepping inside, I noticed that the house was fully furnished just as the agent had described.

It was clean but lacked any presence. There was no warmth or a personal touch.

The decor was done to fit the trend.

However, this was the reason I had gone shopping and ordered some things that would make this place my personal space.

I stepped inside slowly, closing the door behind me.

The air inside the house carried a natural faint scent of wood and stone.

Everything simply reminded me of nature whether inside the house or outside.

I was surely gonna like it here.

I set my suitcase down near the entrance and walked further in, my eyes scanning every corner I could see clearly.

The living room was larger than I had expected

It had tall windows taking half the walls that let in natural light.

A staircase curved elegantly toward the upper floors.

Whoever designed this place really put their hearts into it.

The kitchen was modern and well equipped with everything I might need to cook.

"This is so perfect." I muttered as I shuffled in the kitchen to inspect the appliances.

However, just like the rest of the house, it lacked a personal touch and only felt professional.

However, I liked this very much because it felt like a blank canvas.

And I was about to decide what it would become.

I moved through the rest of the house from room to room and floor to floor inspecting it from top to bottom.

It has several bedrooms and there was even a training room filled with equipment.

There was also an office on the second floor and a large basement.

Whoever designed this place really had a purpose in mind.

But now, that purpose was mine to redefine.

By the time I finished inspecting the house, the sun had already begun to set.

Golden light filtered through the trees, casting long shadows across the floor, making everything look beautiful and feel safe.

"Let’s get to work," I said.

Moving in required more than just walking into the house.

The first thing I did was set up my laptop.

I chose a room on the second floor with the best vantage point.

It had extremely large windows, providing a clear view of the surrounding forest.

It felt perfect for both work and awareness.

I placed my laptop on the desk and powered it on.

The familiar glow of the screen lit up the dimming room.

My fingers moved instinctively across the keyboard opening windows and tabs.

I wanted to test whether the network and internet I had siphoned before worked here.

To my surprise, it worked better than before when I was in the pack.

After confirming this, I began to encrypt everything about me and masked my location.

This was to ensure that if I didn’t want to be found, no one could find me.

I didn’t know what Mike was planning, but I had no plans of getting dragged back to Night Claw Pack.

Once my digital security was in place, I moved on to the physical one.

"Perimeter first," I murmured.

I opened a new program I had made when my mind needed clearing while creating my financial security system and began mapping the land.

The thirty acres surrounding the house filled with a dense forest appeared on the map.

I was glad that I had natural barriers separating me from the rest of the world, but I felt that it wasn’t enough.

I started designing a security system that could cover every inch of the thirty acres.

I included motion sensors, thermal detection, hidden cameras, and alarm triggers.

In fact, everything was interconnected and if one was triggered, it would raise an alarm on my watch.

The watch was something Lilith had bought for me saying as the Luna, I couldn’t be bare completely since I don’t like wearing extravagant jewelry.

I had modified the watch because I was curious and connected it to my laptop.

Now, even though it looked like a normal luxury watch, it was more than that.

It was basically a mini computer and my entire security system was connected to it.

Everything I was doing was still a concept on my computer, once it was done, I would have to buy all the things needed to set up the complete security system.
