Chapter 607: Nathalie, You’ve Fallen Off Your Horse_1

"Exactly, Mr. Vinson, why hasn’t she arrived yet? She couldn’t have gotten lost, could she? Rivendell is quite a large place; should we send someone to go out and pick her up?" Another man with a square face also joined in to tease, asking, "By the way, Mr. Vinson, how old is the girl from McKinney you mentioned? Do you have a photo of her? It would be best to have a photo of her, so we don’t fail to recognize her."

Sadam Vinson was visibly annoyed and gave him a sidelong glare, "Hammer that."

Having said that, he honestly picked up his phone, pulled up Nathalie Quinlan’s phone number, and debated whether or not to give her a call to ask if she had arrived.

While not forgetting to lift his gaze and warn everyone in the private room, "Don’t you all start causing trouble just because you heard she’s from McKinney. I’m putting it ugly up front—if anyone doesn’t give face, then they’re not giving me face. Tighten up your skins and play along nicely."

Everyone felt even more that the person coming later might be some distant relative of his, the kind that family elders order you to entertain.

Although they all internally dismissed the idea, looking down on some bumpkin from a small household, no one dared to disrespect Sadam Vinson. They all promised, "Mr. Vinson, rest assured, I am experienced in playing with kids. Later, I can chat with her about studying, historic sites and the like. Guaranteed, I’ll keep her engaged without a dull moment!"

Only Govert Griffin was still in a daze.

The girl coming later is Amadeus’ sister?

He rubbed the back of his head, feeling a little stunned.

He had never heard before that Amadeus had a sister. A sworn sister he met in McKinney? Then what about Ms. Zachmann?

Everyone was spreading rumors that Amadeus and Ms. Zachmann were the actual item, and suddenly out pops a sworn sister...

He sneaked a glance at Sadam Vinson. Vinson’s face bore an impatient expression, and Govert couldn’t figure out what the situation really was. He decided to wait and see.

...

The people in the private room continued to boast about their experience in dealing with kids.

Suddenly, there was a crisp knocking on the door.

Followed by a young girl’s voice.

Slightly hoarse.

It was quite enticing.

"Excuse me, is Sadam Vinson here?"

The private room fell silent for a moment, and everyone turned in unison toward the door—

The first thing that caught their eye was a pair of beautiful legs, straight and long, encased in skinny jeans, dazzling under the lights at Rivendell.

Immediately, the room went quiet.

As their line of sight traveled upward, they saw a girl of about eighteen or nineteen years of age. Her face looked excessively young due to her age, but it had nothing in common with the "timid and weak little friend" Mr. Vinson had mentioned. The girl exuded an effortless bad-girl vibe, with a powerful aura. She wore a printed hoodie on her upper body—pretty cool—and had a duckbill cap on her head, covering half of her face, revealing piercingly dark eyes that seemed untamed, commanding the room the moment she stood there.

Nathalie wasn’t expecting so many people in the private room. She pulled the brim of her cap, raised her head, and asked again, quite politely, "Hello, is Sadam Vinson here?"

Her voice was hoarse.

It was clearly different from that of an ordinary girl.

Anyone who could rub shoulders with Vinson’s circle came from families with good backgrounds and had extensive experience. Even they were somewhat stunned now.

The square-faced man who had just made a joke about his experience with kids turned his head dumbfoundedly, looking towards Sadam Vinson inside, and said, "Mr. Vinson, she’s looking for you."

Sadam Vinson stared at the girl at the door as if he had seen a ghost, unable to snap back to reality for a long while.
