Chapter 608: My Face Hurts Even More for a Moment_1
Amadeus’ sister who came from McKinney is a miracle doctor?
The words "holy shit" got stuck in his throat, unable to go up or down; his face was incredibly animated.
He had always thought the sister from McKinney that Amadeus talked about would be a timid and meek girl from a small place.
He then looked back at the person standing at the door, even more unrestrained than himself.
Sadam Vinson’s mouth twitched.
Timid?
Meek?
From a small place?
He couldn’t help but recall the scene a few hours ago, where she left Adelle Wafford’s face color changing with her words at the Wilmar family gathering.
But he reacted quickly, snapping back to reality and rising to his feet, his demeanor shifting from casual to one of solemnity and earnestness as he went up to greet her, "You’re here? I was just about to give you a call to see if I should come out and get you."
Nathalie Quinlan looked up and saw a handsome young man approaching her; he was good-looking. She lowered her eyelids, and said casually, "Sorry. I got held up doing my hair, so I’m a bit late."
"No, no problem at all." Sadam Vinson was extremely curious about her and didn’t mind that she was late. He briefly introduced her to the people in the private room: "These are my friends, we hang out together normally. When they heard you were coming, they all insisted on welcoming and treating you."
At the same time, he turned to the people in the room and said, "Nathalie..."
He went "Nathalie" for a while, then got stuck, unable to remember her name.
When Amadeus Yancey had told him earlier, he hadn’t taken it to heart at all, not really caring, thus he didn’t make a point to remember the name.
He had just planned to fulfill the obligation casually.
Now, his face felt sore.
Who knew Amadeus’ sister would be so freaking amazing?
Even able to save Mr. Wilmar.
And she looked so young, too.
High school senior...
He thought about what he was doing when he was a high school senior, and his face hurt even more.
When he was in his senior year, he was out fooling around so much that with his poor grades, his family kicked him out to study abroad. After facing some hardships outside, he gradually matured and started shaping up while working with Amadeus Yancey.
To think Nathalie Quinlan could handle acupuncture so skillfully in her senior year, he was truly impressed.
But as much as he admired her, scratching his head didn’t help him remember what the last character of her name was.
What did Amadeus say Nathalie’s full name was?
Sadam Vinson had never felt so embarrassed, wishing he could just bury himself in a hole.
Fortunately, Nathalie Quinlan noticed he had forgotten her name and nonchalantly filled in, "Hello, everyone. My name is Nathalie Quinlan. It’s great to meet all of you."
Sadam Vinson clapped his hands, and with a bit of hindsight, joined in, "Ah, right, Nathalie Quinlan. My sister, please take good care of her in the future."
When Nathalie Quinlan heard his natural reference to her as "my sister," her eyebrows quirked up, but she remained silent.
Sadam Vinson, however, didn’t find it odd. He belonged to the same circle as Amadeus, and they were friends; it wasn’t wrong to consider a brother’s sister as his own.
After he finished introducing her, he noticed Nathalie Quinlan wasn’t the type who loved the hustle and bustle, and started to regret calling Govert Griffin and so many others over.
He found a spot for her to sit down in a corner of the sofa, then called the waiter over to remove all the alcohol from the table, replacing it entirely with Maofeng tea.
He also had them bring over a few fruit plates and snacks—his preparations were just short of moving over a pile of sunflower seeds.
The stark contrast in his behavior before and after was so evident that everyone in the room was taken aback, struggling to keep up with his pace. However, being shrewd, even if they couldn’t keep up, they could tell that he had changed his attitude from indifference to valuing Nathalie greatly. Everyone quickly followed suit with eagerness, crowding around Nathalie to find topics of conversation to keep the atmosphere lively...
