Chapter 606: Mr. Vinson, Is This Your Relative?_1
At this time, she should be in McKinney!
But the figure just now looked exactly like Nathalie Quinlan.
Zayn Fisher couldn’t quite describe the feeling in his heart, he just felt that it was because he had been daydreaming and having night dreams, that he could see a trace of her in anyone he looked at.
"Really?" Zeus Tanzil didn’t seem too convinced, "I thought you were just staring into space, maybe you saw someone."
"Who could I have seen? There are hardly any people I know at Rivendell, it was just a case of mistaken identity."
Zayn Fisher raised his eyebrows, forcing himself not to think about it anymore, slapped Zeus on the shoulder, and urged him, "Let’s go, they’re all waiting for us."
Zeus actually thought of someone but, seeing that Zayn didn’t seem to be lying, he didn’t press the issue and turned to walk toward the private room they had booked...
*
Inside private room A1869.
A group of men and women were gathered together.
Both Govert Griffin and Sadam Vinson were there. Sadam Vinson had taken a shower and changed into a set of clothes, curled up on the sofa, looking extremely fatigued and impatient, radiating an ’unapproachable’ vibe that hardly anyone dared to disturb.
Govert Griffin was a social butterfly, adept at managing interpersonal relationships.
He got along with everyone present, and with him there, the atmosphere in the room was consistently good.
Everyone was doing their own thing, the room abuzz with activity.
After making a round with his glass, Govert returned to sit beside Mr. Vinson, put down his glass, and asked with a smile, "Mr. Vinson, you organized this gathering, why aren’t you joining in the fun with everyone?"
Having taken a shower and changed clothes, Mr. Vinson felt even sleepier, his eyelids were fighting each other, and at the words, he glanced at Govert, his face full of displeasure, "Do I look like I’m in any shape to play?"
"Tsk." Govert scrutinized his despondent expression carefully, shook his head, teasingly said, "Honestly, no. You look more like you’re here to crash the party!"
The expression on this gentleman’s face clearly read ’I’m tired, I want to sleep, don’t mess with me’—wasn’t that just like coming to crash the party?
But if he was that sleepy, Govert didn’t quite understand why he insisted on holding up through the gathering, and out of curiosity, he couldn’t help but ask, "Mr. Vinson, is this kid from McKinney a relative of yours?"
Not being relatives, figuring his unyielding nature, it was unlikely anyone could make him budge, let alone make him stay up here without sleeping.
Mr. Vinson felt a headache coming on just thinking about it, irritably snatched Govert’s glass, and without even touching the rim, poured the alcohol straight into his mouth.
After taking a sip, he cleared his head a bit and glanced sideways at him, saying, "Relatives my ass! If it were my relative I’d have gone back to sleep already, not hanging around here like this, and it’s not like she’s my mother!"
"Then who is..."
Mr. Vinson put the glass on the table, leaned back, and said, "Amadeus’ sister."
"Amadeus personally asked me to take care of her, said the kid is unfamiliar with the place and might get bored."
He could only laugh.
After all, she was eighteen years old; what could be so boring?
Can’t she have fun by herself?
If she can’t have fun why not just stay in school and study instead of running out here!
He was full of complaints with no one to vent to, swept his gaze across the room at those playing, raised his voice and ordered, "All of you, put away the alcohol. Later, everyone drinks soft drinks! There’s a kid here, no drinking alcohol! Get a case of Cola here, you’re all going to drink Cola, dammit!"
A woman with dyed hair and seductive eyes put down her glass, cooed, "Mr. Vinson, that kid you mentioned hasn’t arrived yet, right? She didn’t get lost, did she?"
