The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot

Chapter 116: Treating to a Meal

Chapter 116: Treating to a Meal

Tess Young’s expression suddenly turned a bit unpleasant, she looked at Diana Curtis with an ambiguous gaze.

"Get lost, get lost, get lost."

Though she was yelling for Diana to go away, her mood suddenly hit rock bottom.

"Isn’t it? Although I don’t object, it’s not normal either."

Diana patted Tess’s shoulder in a friendly manner, acting like a good friend, her eyes staring straight at Leo Grant and Holly Sawyer.

Diana looked at Leo and Holly, Tess looked at Diana, watching intently, her eyes gleaming with a responsible light.

It was hard to understand.

"Hey, Tess, you say..."

"Whoa, why are you staring at me?"

Diana’s gaze shifted to Tess, and after seeing Tess’s eyes, she was so startled that she forgot what she was going to say.

Tess’s eyes were fixed intently on her, creating a creepy feeling.

"Think you’re silly."

Tess quickly shifted her gaze elsewhere, her voice carrying a chill.

Diana blinked in confusion.

"Come on, let’s go find the boss for a treat."

Diana rubbed her nose, as if something suddenly came to mind, and she pulled Tess’s hand heading towards Leo and Holly.

Tess looked at the hand Diana was holding, with ambiguous emotions flashing in her eyes, the touch was very soft.

Diana’s hands were very beautiful.

"Boss, boss, treat us?"

Diana got straight to the point, she’d been wanting Leo and Holly to treat them to a meal, but by herself, she was afraid of being overloaded with PDA, but now she dragged Tess along.

Two people endure PDA better than one.

Two people have company, after all.

"No treat."

Holly refused coldly.

Diana: "..."

"Brother wants to treat your friends to a meal, is that okay?"

Leo’s gaze swept over Diana and Tess, then gently focused on Holly, as he slowly inquired.

He thought he should treat Holly’s friends to a meal sooner or later, and today was just the right time.

"Okay."

Holly nodded.

Diana: "..."

Whoa, speechless.

Tess remained silent throughout, not saying a word.

Holly looked at Tess, slightly puzzled between her eyebrows, but didn’t ask anything.

She felt Tess was a bit odd. Diana and Tess were normally arch-rivals, always at each other’s throats, but now they seemed unexpectedly harmonious.

The four of them went to a restaurant, it was a private kitchen, expensive, but the food was top-notch too.

Leo felt that treating Holly’s friends here for a meal was worthwhile, and didn’t feel it was a loss.

Diana’s expression was excited the whole time, someone was treating for a meal, how could she not be happy?

"Hey, hey, hey, what’s with your expression, you suddenly became weird."

Diana turned her head to look at Tess beside her, asking in confusion.

Really weird.

When they first met, Tess had mocked her, they had fought, and later everything was normal. The change really was quite sudden.

Tess shook her head: "No."

Diana: "..."

Alright, if you say no, then no.

Diana, like someone who hadn’t eaten for days, quickly ticked off items on the menu, as if she was going to order the whole menu.

She just wanted to rip off Leo for a meal; being able to do so was truly a privilege, usually couldn’t do it.

"Can you finish it all?"

Tess looked at Diana’s quick hands, and slowly mentioned.

Diana ordered a bit too much, and this private kitchen was particularly expensive.

"Can’t finish, we’ll get it to go."

Diana said, continuing her actions.

Yes, can’t finish, just take it to go, ripping off Leo and Holly essentially was the same thing, not much different.

Tess: "..."

Being speechless.

Holly gave Diana a light glance, inwardly desiring to throw Diana out, really shameless.

"It’s okay, brother is rich."

Holly gently held Holly’s hand, and slowly spoke.

He saw Holly’s displeasure, he wasn’t short on money, and could afford a meal, even if expensive.

Holly: "Made you spend."

"Alright, that’s it."

Diana handed the finalized menu to the server.

"Are you sure?"

The server looked at the menu, hesitated for a moment, and tentatively asked.

Diana had essentially ordered everything on the menu, totaling twenty or thirty dishes.

There were only four of them, seemed like too many dishes.

"Absolutely sure."

Diana answered cheerfully, she ordered them, of course she was sure.

"Miss, you ordered almost everything on our menu, our portions are quite large and prices aren’t cheap."

The server reminded again, had to confirm due to the excessive order.

Diana asked: "Can we take what’s left?"

"Yes, you can."

The server nodded.

"In that case, it’s fine."

Diana said.

Not being able to finish isn’t an issue because you can take it to go, so ordering more wasn’t a big deal at all.

"But..."

The server looked hesitantly at Leo.

Of the four, there was only one guy, and logically, Leo was likely footing the bill.

Leo: "Go ahead."

Holly’s friends were naturally his friends too, they could order as much as they wanted, he could afford it.

The server nodded and left with the menu.

"How many days do you plan to eat?"

Holly crossed her arms, her gaze coldly on Diana.

Her appetite indeed was big, but eating so many dishes now, she couldn’t finish, there would presumably be lots of leftovers.

"Heh, no big deal, I can refrigerate and eat bit by bit later."

Diana rubbed her nose, saying in embarrassment.

Indeed, ordering so much was embarrassing, but she still had to feign shamelessness.

"You’ll overeat."

Tess coldly remarked.

"Eating well is a blessing."

Diana chuckled lightly.

Yes, it wouldn’t do to act too foolish in front of Leo, it wasn’t good.

Diana and Tess started bantering again, Holly occasionally chipped in, Leo mostly stayed silent, just watching them quietly.

The young girl had many friends around her, evidently having good connections.

A table full of dishes, the outcome was, of course, they couldn’t finish it, Diana had the server pack it up.

The server packed the leftover dishes for Diana, puzzled as she watched her, her eyes filled with confusion.

Others ate just enough, but Diana ordered nearly everything, some hardly touched at all.

Weird indeed.

"We’re leaving, enjoy yourselves."

Holly looked at the bags Diana was carrying, her mouth twitching involuntarily, then she pulled Leo away.

Not because taking leftovers was embarrassing, but Diana’s behavior was, as if she hadn’t eaten in ages, took away too much.
