Chapter 115: He Only Wants to Be Good to Her

Chapter 115: He Only Wants to Be Good to Her

"Brother, do you know why I’m so tired?"

Holly stopped Leo Grant’s movements and slowly asked.

"Did Holly go to the snack street?"

As a seasoned foodie, Holly Sawyer was only particularly interested in food, so aside from roaming the snack street, Leo couldn’t think of another reason.

Holly shook her head: "Nope."

Leo looked at Holly in puzzlement, without speaking.

"I miss you, have been thinking of you all morning, that’s why I feel so tired."

Holly playfully blinked and stuck her tongue out at Leo.

Cheesy pick-up line?

She could do it too.

"Mm, I’m just as tired as you."

Leo suddenly laughed, gently rubbed Holly’s head, and his voice was unusually gentle.

The little girl misses him too, it’s really nice, he likes this feeling.

"Brother, why did you come over here?"

Holly tilted her head to look at Leo, only then did she remember to ask this question.

She had shared her location before with Leo, but at that time, Leo hadn’t said he would come over, he mentioned he was busy.

Leo’s sudden appearance truly made Holly especially surprised, seeing Leo in that moment healed all her unhappiness.

"I missed my little girl, so I came over."

Leo’s lips slightly curved, his eyes filled with a fond smile.

Not seeing someone for a day feels like three years.

There really is some truth to that, it hasn’t even been a day, yet he’s already missing the little girl so much.

"Did you bring anything delicious for your little girl?"

Holly playfully blinked at Leo, extending her right hand towards him, her tone slightly teasing.

"Yes."

Leo turned and opened the car door, taking out a small white peach oolong flavored cake, he gave it to Holly with a smile.

He firmly remembered the little girl loves food, he wouldn’t forget to bring her something delicious no matter what.

"Wow, you really did."

Holly held the little cake in her palm, blinking with a strong smile in her eyes.

She was just saying it, not expecting Leo to actually bring her anything, knowing he came over rather hurriedly.

Leo nodded: "Yes."

"Brother’s so nice."

Holly took a bite of the small cake, soft and chewy, melting in her mouth, the sweet flavor spreading throughout.

She loves sweets but not all sweets, however, whatever Leo gives her always tastes good.

Sweets touch her heart.

There’s a saying: what I like to eat isn’t particularly important, what’s important is that it’s given by you, so I love it.

"Brother is only good to you."

Leo had a faint smile on his lips, looking at Holly with eyes full of indulgence.

The way the little girl eats is truly cute, cute enough to reach deep into his heart.

No matter how he looks at the little girl, she is always adorable, in his eyes she is perfect without flaws.

Maybe this is what it means to love someone.

Perhaps loving someone means even if this person is a mess, you still want to bring them home, worried someone might steal them along the way; loving someone means even if they are terrible, you’d still become their protector while simultaneously despising them.

So loving someone means even if they have many flaws, you still see them as perfect.

That’s how Holly is in Leo’s heart.

"Then Holly’s only good to brother."

Holly playfully smiled and wrapped her arms around Leo’s waist, burying her head there.

She really, really likes Leo.

Leo: "Mm, good."

He wants to give Holly the best things in the world, he remembers all of Holly’s preferences clearly.

Diana Curtis and Tess Young, both single, stood from a distance watching Holly and Leo’s interactions, feeling a mix of emotions.

"Why aren’t you a guy?"

Diana crossed her arms and suddenly glanced at Tess, blurting out without context, her tone somewhat disdainful.

"What do you mean?"

Tess rolled her eyes at Diana, feeling speechless and dumbfounded by Diana’s out-of-the-blue words.

"I feel your personality is quite masculine."

Diana sized up Tess from head to toe, speaking slowly.

Except for her slightly feminine hair, Diana never thought Tess looked like a woman, missing all the characteristics a woman should have.

No chest, no hips. Wearing a leather jacket on top, work pants below, definitely a masculine outfit. Without seeing the face, would genuinely mistake her for a man, dressed coolly, just not feminine.

"What’s with that look?"

Tess glared at Diana, Diana’s straightforward gaze seemed to dissect her.

She didn’t have much to refute in Diana’s words, it was true.

"Flat as a pancake."

Diana’s gaze landed on Tess’s chest, slowly uttering three words.

Indeed, quite flat.

Though she’s lacking too, at least there’s a tiny glimpse of something.

No comparison, no harm, comparing with Tess made her feel much more confident.

"Whoa, Diana, are you tired of living?"

Tess immediately slapped Diana, this was the last straw.

"Hey, hey, hey, I didn’t mean that."

Diana rubbed her somewhat sore shoulder, looking aggrieved.

"Then what did you mean?"

Tess crossed her arms and coldly stared at Diana, waiting for her to explain.

"I meant, if you were a guy, we could show off some dog food. Even if it’s fake, at least we could act, rather than just consuming, never able to sprinkle any."

Diana spoke earnestly, placing her hand on Tess’s shoulder and letting out a heavy sigh.

Huffing, she just wanted a guy, who knows who exactly, the key point being a guy, so she could drag him out to flaunt some affection.

Fake is fine, at least she could experience the joy of showing off love.

"Actually, doesn’t have to be a guy."

Tess looked at Diana, suddenly coming out with such a statement.

Diana turned to look at Tess, tapping her arm, "That’s true, but..."

She paused, didn’t continue, eyes fixed on Holly and Leo.

"Girls can do it too."

Tess looked at Diana with a meaningful expression.

"Oh hell, my sexual orientation is normal, saying that but I’m not doing it!"

Diana glared at Tess, her face was serious.

Though she didn’t oppose such things, her heart wasn’t supportive, even jokingly she’d correct it.

"I’m merely making an analogy, never said you were one."

Tess clicked her tongue, her tone breezy and calm, eyes boldly assessing Diana.

"Pshhh, you’re the one."

Diana spat a few times, looking at Tess disdainfully.
