The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 980: I Want a Break

Chapter 980: I Want a Break

The orc’s nest has been destroyed completely. And I don’t think there’s any orc who managed to escape. They all died.

And now, everyone is going to what was known as the orc’s nest before. With the four people who have been restrained and unable to do anything.

So, only four people? Well, three of them are the guys who have been spying on us for a while already. So, just one should be enough.

Unfortunately, the other master level mages were killed. I guess we didn’t have enough strength to restrain them. So we had no choice but to kill them.

Well, I was one of the guys who killed one of the master level mages. Though I have asked for permission to kill the one I faced, so it’s fine. Though if I inform the others o how I killed the master level wind mage, they will complain that I should be able to use the same trick to restrain them. Instead of swinging a sword, I can wrap a collar around his neck.

Well, for now I won’t explain how I did it. But next time, I’ll say that I practiced to do it.

"Well, four is better than nothing, I guess," I said after we gathered together in the former orc’s nest.

The three members of the cult were shocked. They were the ones who have been spying on me. But the two expert level mages’ expression seem like they have just witnessed something incredible.

"You! How are you still alive!?" one of them asked.

"How? Well, my heart is still beating. My brain is working. And every part of my body except for my right hand is still there. I’m alive because I’m healthy," I said.

"That’s not what I mean! I mean how did you survive?! We had the strongest mage to go after you!" he asked again

The strongest mage? From the cult? I don’t think that’s the case.

I guess what he meant was that the guy I killed was the strongest among this group. Now that makes sense.

"The guy got surrounded by lizardmen and died," I said.

"That’s impossible! There’s no way that lizardmen could kill a master level mage!"

Will he continue shouting? Well, it’s fine. Thanks to Jewel, I have gotten used to someone being loud. Though she rarely shouts anymore these days, I have gotten used to the noise.

"It is possible. After all, those lizardmen were just distraction that I found on the way. The one who killed that guy was me," I said.

"You? A drunkard like you killed a master level mage? That’s impossible!"

"It is actually possible. After all, this is a fake beard!" I said as I removed the fake beard on my face.

"...That doesn’t make any sense! Just because that’s a fake beard, doesn’t mean that you can kill someone as strong as a master level mage!"

Is he stupid? Did he think that I killed a master level mage with a fake beard?

Oh, man. I love idiots. Unfortunately, he’s with the cult. So he will die sooner or later.

"You’re stupid. The fake beard means that I wore disguise. Why am I wearing disguise? It’s obviously to hide my identity. And now you’re wondering who I am. So I will tell you that I’m the guy you’re looking for! Congrats! You are correct to stay in the city because of your suspicion to me! Unfortunately, you failed to figure it out," I said.

There’s no need to hide the fact that I’m the Aura user they were looking for. It’s not like they have any way to communicate with other people anymore. They all have the Magic Restricting Collar around their neck already. Although the master level mages can easily rip those collars off, we also have master level mages to restrain them.

"Hehehe..." the master level earth mage laughed when I said the truth.

"Is there something funny?" I asked.

"Yes. You lost a hand. And now, the others will realize that something happened in that city. There will be more people coming. And you said that everyone is mages who are trying to get stronger to fight us? That mean we can get rid of your force as well. Even if you’re strong, with so many people, you won’t be able to kill everyone with just one hand," she said.

I looked at my missing right hand. I missed it already. I wish Kayla can reach master level in her healing element as soon as possible.

"Well, that’s not really a problem to me though," I said.

I showed them my missing right hand. Then with my left hand, I covered the part where my hand is supposed to be.

After that, I raised my left hand for them to see that my right hand is there. But it’s all black.

"Do you think that it was an accident that you took my right hand?"

Now they will think that I lost my right hand to be used as a bait to lure the cult. They couldn’t say anything else anymore.

"Since we’re done here, let’s go back. The master level mages can return to the city with my portal. The rest of us can return normally," I said.

It will be suspicious if there are members of the cult hiding on the way back to the city, but we didn’t return through the normal path. So we had to do this.

The spies will be arrested and questioned. Maybe we can learn something from them.

After I brought them to the city, I opened another portal. It’s to where the horse that I rode was. I have attached a small Blobby to it. So even if it ran away from the lizardmen, I could get it back to me again.

And so, we used the normal path home. I heard them saying how easy the enemy was. And they are trying to show off how powerful and what they did to the master level mages who tried to ambush them.

Well, none of them are trying to compete with me. Because it’s obvious who will win. But I’ll just let them be. So the whole way home, it’s just them talking about their strength.

I also found traces of some people hiding on the way home. I followed the traces and met some agents. The others recognized them, so they are not from the cult.

I guess we’re safe. The enemy didn’t prepare to ambush us on the way home because they thought that they could get rid of us in the orc’s nest.

Once we reached the city, we disbanded. I left the horse since it’s not mine and go to the guild alone.

"Graham, you did a good job. You can return now," I said to Graham.

"Okay. If you need me, you know where to find me," he said before I unsummoned him.

I also contacted Crabbe before returning him to Monsters Village. For the reports, the guild receptionist here can report Claudia.

"Good job, Robby. Here’s your reward," the receptionist said as she gave me some money.

But I rejected that money. I don’t need them after all. The money I got here will only be used by Robby to buy alcohol after all. And I don’t really like them.

"No need for money. Now that we have captured the spies, what do you think will happen?" I asked.

"Our guess is that they will send more spies here. But they will surely know by now that anyone who is not recognized by the people here are suspicious. They will probably investigate this city more before they do anything. I guess we have about two or three months until some of them arrive," she said.

"Was it necessary to tell them that this city is for those who want to face the cult?" I asked.

"It’s just to make the cult be more wary of this place. Everyone here, even those who are not strong, are willing to die to protect our country. So if we make the cult target this place, other cities will be safe. We should be able to make the cult think that we are their main objective before they could attack the capital. So it’s fine," she said.

Ah, the so-called sacrificing themselves for the greater good. Seems like when they planned this they only send people who are willing to let their lives down for the country.

As usual, it’s not my part to complain about the plan. I’ll just let them progress with the plan on their own until they need me.

"Two months, right? Then I want to have a vacation for around that duration. I’m sick acting as an alcoholic. That’s fine, isn’t it?" I asked.

"I think it’s fine. As long as you can come whenever we need you, we actually don’t mind if you take a vacation for years," she said.

"Then I will go home to Cassau. I can’t let Victoria continue going on dates with my girls. Good luck with... whatever happening here."

And so, it’s time for me to say farewell to Robby. At least temporarily. They won’t need me anytime soon. I hope.
