Chapter 981: My Right Hand’s Recovery

Three months without anything to do. Boring but fulfilling. I will try to get used to this because this is how my world is going to be in the future after I destroyed the cult.

For three months, there were no big moves from the cult. But many cities have been attacked. Though thanks to the master level mages we have, I didn’t have to get involved at all.

In fact, I haven’t killed anyone yet for three months. Not even normal bandits.

I just enjoyed my time. Going on dates with all my girlfriends and played with the children.

I also had many people and monsters asked for sparring session. And I played tag many times.

After seeing the result from the game of tag, I keep on doing it. It’s fun and it helps us improve our strategy. We became stronger and our senses became sharper after so many game of tag. We no longer can predict who will win the game. Because some monsters that I don’t even know their name of and should be weaker than any monsters I recognized have managed to win it.

And that just makes the competition fiercer. No one wants some random people, or monsters in this case, to be better than them.

The only thing that made me worry is that Angela and Kayla haven’t returned yet. They’re my girlfriends whom I haven’t gone on dates with for months. I missed them.

It should be soon that I will bring another batch of people and returned some. I will meet them again soon.

It’s funny, isn’t it? The cult tried to delay me to get my hand regenerated as much as possible. They attacked multiple places at once. But they still haven’t found me.

It’s not just that. While they were busy doing all of that, we only get stronger and stronger. The longer they delayed making any big move at all, the more master level mages we will have.

I’m sure that they would never think that we’re using this chance to lower the strength of our force to get stronger knowing that the cult won’t do any big move since they’re looking for me.

And now, our force has gotten stronger. I even heard that there are more people joined to fight. They are hunters. So I can’t expose my identity to them. But once they proven themselves to be capable and we can trust them, I might send them to the Spirit Mountain so they can reach master level. That would be great.

But just having more people to join our cause is good enough. For reaching master level, that can be done later.

What we lack most today would be how we couldn’t figure out where most people from the cult are. Though our guess would be that they’re hiding in Monsters World. After all, they have way too many people with them. And for some reason, even after I traveled around the continent during the circus tour, we didn’t find many of them. So they are most likely hiding in Monsters World.

And for that, we lack the people and information about that world. We need some elite group of scouts and spies to check the Monsters World and find where they’re hiding.

Even if we have more master level mages now, it’s still not enough. We need monsters as well.

So until we have prepared the mages to travel around the Monsters World, the monsters will continue with their game of tag so they can be faster, stronger, and sharper. Then once we the people to send to the Monsters World, we can decide the monsters that will join them.

It’s finally the day for me to bring the next batch to the Spirit Mountain. I can see the excitement on the faces of the kings. They really love it when they see their people became stronger. Well, I do too.

"Surprisingly, we have more people than the previous two batches combined. Or should I say that it’s not surprising?"

Each country is now letting more people to join and cultivate in the Spirit Mountain. But that’s to be expected. After all, from the previous batch, I will bring some people from their country back home.

Those people who have reached master level were promised status and wealth. Though for some countries, the wealth part is still a bit of a problem. But that won’t be for long.

After we created this alliance and get to know other countries, we learned that each country in this continent, no matter how small, have their own way to get money. Their main source of money.

And with this alliance, they created trading policies that will make each country prosper. There’s no one here at a loss. Everyone will get profit.

I don’t really get it since politic is not what I’m good at. But if they’re happy, that’s good.

Then I brought the next batch of people to the Spirit Mountain. And there, everyone who has reached master level was ready to return. Including Kayla.

"Kayla! You have reached master level?" I asked.

"Yes, I have. If you want, I can regenerate your right hand right now," she said.

"That’s great! But not now. We’ll do it in front of the kings. I’m sure once they see my hand recovered, they will think up of a new plan. By the way, how’s Angela?" I asked Kayla.

"She’s still doing her best. She said that she will be fine so you don’t have to worry about her," Kayla said.

I then used my Divine Vision to see where Angela was. I could see her.

And then she noticed that I was looking at her. She just waved her hand at me. Telling me that she’s fine.

She noticed me watching her using Divine Vision? Only master level mages can do that. Even before, Angela couldn’t notice me unless I get closer to her location.

Being able to notice my Divine Vision from this far means that she’s already stronger than she was before. But she hasn’t reached master level yet? When she does, I don’t know any more if I will still be the strongest person in the alliance or not. But that’s fine.

Well, not like I’m going to let her surpass me. I guess I need to work a bit harder after I return.

"Since everyone is ready, let’s go home," I said.

I brought everyone back to where the kings were. Then the kings welcomed the new master level mages with open arms.

While they were busy, I called Sophie and the others if they were free to come. I want them to watch me getting my hand recovered.

"Oh, Kayla, you have returned! Does it mean that you can now regenerate Roy’s hand?" Shirley asked.

Everyone now noticed Kayla was there. And the noisy room turned quiet.

"I’m confident that I can do it," Kayla said.

"Really? Then please recover my brother’s hand!" Shirley said.

Soon after she said that, I opened several portals to bring Sophie and the other girls here. They are curious to watch.

How fast will the regeneration rate will be? It should be fast enough to be done in a short time, right?

Just in case, Sophie brought me several blood bags. Afraid that I will lose a lot of blood during the process.

"Roy, you’re ready?" Kayla asked as she’s ready to heal me.

"Anytime."

Right after I said that, she used her healing magic at me.

I have felt her healing magic many times. But this time, the magic feels stronger than before.

The bump on my right wrist started to hurt. And the wound opened while I can see blood vessel started to grow.

I don’t have to use Divine Vision. It’s very clear for everyone to see. And a bit nauseating for those who are not used to it.

Bones started to grow. My nerve system and blood vessels as well. It kept on growing. And the skin on my hand is the last to grow.

It’s not slow at all. It was quite fast. And in just one minute, my missing right hand has returned. Even the muscle was as strong as I remembered.

"Wow, amazing!" Albert shouted.

"Roy, can you move your hand?" Shirley asked.

"Still a bit numb. My blood hasn’t completely entered this hand. Kayla’s healing magic didn’t produce blood," I said.

"Right, I forgot. I focused more on regenerating the lost right hand. I’ll increase your blood now" Kayla said.

And then she casually used her healing magic. Just like that, and I can see my own body produced more blood at a faster rate. And when my blood has completely entered every part of my body, including the newly regenerated hand, the blood pressure returned back to normal.

"...It’s a bit scary that you increased my blood pressure like that. But to think that a healer can recover lost blood, it’s amazing. You’re the greatest healer in the world right now," I said.

I tested my right hand. And there’s no decrease in strength at all. I like it.

"I also learned medicine, you know. Although I’m not as smart as you or Sophie, I know that too much healing is not good. So I thought that maybe there’s a way for healer to kill someone with healing magic. Like increasing their blood pressure," Kayla said proudly.

...She turned from an amazing healer to a scary one. No matter what, I must not make her angry.
