The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 972: They Sacrificed Me

Chapter 972: They Sacrificed Me

I did my job as requested. Scouting the orc settlement. While also watching my pursuers with my Divine Vision.

Seems like they never noticed that I was looking at them with my Divine Vision. So I guess none of them were master level mages.

Well, it’s also because I think I have improved the use of my Divine Vision as well. So even if I look at a master level mage in the eye, they won’t notice immediately.

Though for them, after watching them for a while, they never notice at all. So it’s safe to say that none of them were master level mages. They should be expert level mages at most.

And the master level earth mage didn’t follow us. She’s still staying there under the ground of the city.

Obviously, I have told the others in the city about her. Though there’s nothing they can do anyway. So they just ignore her.

In a few days, our master level earth mage from a nearby city will come to visit. At least that’s what I heard from the others.

It’s no longer a secret that we have master level mages in our rank. So even if the cult found out about him, it won’t be a problem.

Though as soon as he entered the city, he will notice where the hiding earth mage is and hunt her down. Since this guy trained in the Spirit Mountain and have been with us for a while, I expect that his strength should be above the average of master level mages from the cult. So I’m sure that he can kill that mage on his own when he found her.

Now, back to my mission.

There’s an orc settlement here. Although there’s no experimented monster among them, there are a lot more of them than before. Back when Kron and I first teamed-up.

There were a lot back then. But in this place, there are more of them. Though none of them should be as strong as that escaping experimental orc.

And if I want to, I can kill every single one of them without leaving anyone alive. But that’s Roy. Not Robby. And I am Robby right now.

Robby is just at most an expert level air mage with a weak Blue Slime as his familiar. He has no motivation to do more than what’s needed for him to do.

Still, I got confused. They told me to do it this way, but it seems as if they have no interest in making the cult think that Robby is the Aura user. What are they planning?

Do they want the cult to think that I’m the Aura user or not? I don’t get it.

But I do know that there must be other plan that the Kings have planned. And I was just told about this because I’m not a part of another plan. Just this one.

So, even if the cult couldn’t find out that Robby is the Aura user, the kings must have prepared other plan. I’ll just do what I was told.

I see. In a way, I am similar to this Robby. I guess they picked the right man for me to disguise as.

Now, I just scouted the area. How large this orc’s nest is, I need to know. Because that’s my job.

And right now, the two pursuers were already on my tail. They are watching my every move.

I found an orc near the place I was looking, so I used the painted blue Blobbies to lure the orc away. Then everytime I found another orc, I do the same. Unless there are two or three orcs. If that’s the case, then I will use the blow gun to distract them before I used sleeping gas to put them to sleep.

But I didn’t kill them. Or I will alert the other orcs.

And I finally found an Orc Wizard. That orc was being accompanied with several other orcs. And it will be fine if they won’t be able to be put to sleep using my sleeping gas.

I will use them to pursue after me who will run toward the spies who are spying on me. Then they will be those two’s problem.

Seems like it’s not just an Orc Wizard. There are also three other powerful orc variants. I think it will be difficult for those two to handle. Unless they are powerful expert level mages. Or they are wind mages who can fly and escape easily.

For now, I acted as if I was trying to put them to sleep and failed. Then when they were looking for me, I used the blue Blobbies to distract them, but failed as they found out where I was. So I tried to escape. To where my two pursuers were hiding.

The two were panicking when I found them hiding. But I pretend that I didn’t care as there are more important things to do.

"Run."

I casually told them to run away. Not shouting.

The two then looked at what’s behind me as I passed them. Then they realized that I was being chased by a group of orcs.

I continued running, but I’m still watching them. They felt confident to defeat just a group of orcs. So they tried to kill them.

They managed to kill the weak ones, but then a stronger variant of orc attacked them. Then the Orc Wizard cast fire magic at them.

"Aaargh! There’s an Orc Wizard!"

"Retreat! They’re too much for us!"

From the look of it, they’re just expert level mages. It would be easy to kill them. But I won’t.

They retreated to my location. And that means the orcs also followed them.

And I keep changing direction of where I was running. Because I don’t want to lure the orcs to the city. At least that’s how it should look like.

Pretending that I am already familiar with the landscape when I actually just see far ahead with my Divine Vision, I tried to lure the orcs to a hill before leaving them behind. If I’m lucky, the will fall into the valley. That’s the plan.

"Hey! Why are you running there? That’s not where the city is!" that Ronald guy asked me while running.

"And make them find the location of the city? How long have you been a hunter? I obviously going to get them away from the city before returning there myself. Now, why are you running with me?" I asked back.

What will their answer be?

"There’s an Orc Wizard among them! I got burnt trying to fight back. They are stronger than us! And since we saw you running, we thought that you have a plan," the other guy said.

"I don’t have a plan. Other than luring them far from the city and leave them behind," I said.

The two then looked at each other before they nodded in agreement. Why are they nodding? I guess it means that they want to kill me right now.

And I was right. As we were running, one of them used fire magic to attack me from behind. And I got hit square on my back.

"The fuck are you doing?!" I shouted.

"It will take too long to escape from the orcs your way. So we will just sacrifice you so we can escape," Ronald said.

Then he grabbed the other guy’s hand and used wind magic to fly away from there. He’s a wind mage.

I was fine. Well, not really. I got hurt by the Fireball. But it’s still something I can endure with my Aura.

Although they were looking for evidence that I’m the Aura user, I’m sure they won’t realize it when I used Aura right in front of them.

But I pretend that I’m in pain. Then I stood up and continued trying to run away from the orcs.

I also watched the two flying further and further to the direction of the city on the opposite direction of where I’m going. They are the worst type of hunters it seems. The one who sacrifice other people’s live so they can safe their own.

Well, what do you expect from members of the cult? They would even sacrifice their own life for their goal.

Now that there’s no one watching me, I chose to run faster instead of killing the orcs. Then in no time, they were unable to find me anymore.

But I won’t return back to the city right away. I will wait at least until tomorrow so they will think that I put a lot of effort in escaping.

Now, I just need to adjust my appearance into someone who was fighting for their life. And I can easily find a way to do it.

"I guess it’s time to have another sparring session with the monsters. But before that, it’s time to go back to Cassau."

It has been a while since I returned there. So I’m sure that they are curious of how I’m doing. Though I’m sure they are pretty sure that I will be fine.
