Chapter 966: More People Returned from the Spirit Mountain

Three months have passed ever since I brought the first batch of people to the Spirit Mountain. But other than the one attack to a big city in Arturo, there were only small battles where I wasn’t even needed to participate.

I guess that’s good since that means the cult wasn’t able to do anything to us. But it’s still not looking good at all since we don’t know where they really came from.

Our most likely guess was that they were hiding in the Monsters World. But that world is larger than this Earth. So it’s not likely that we will be able to find them anytime soon there.

Even so, there must still be some other bases of the cult hidden on Earth. So we still continued to look for them.

Even the one where the cult’s reinforcement came from, the agents didn’t find anything. They are really the best at hiding.

Anyway, let’s go to the good part.

It has been three months since the first batch of people started cultivating in the Spirit Mountain. Now, even the regular army who were brought there has reached master level.

Obviously, my close friends reached master level first. Even Oleg did.

Kron, Jewel, Candy, Sara, Wendy, Randy, Carmen, Fabio, and the others also reached master level in their perspective element. Either it’s just one element or more, they reached master level.

Must be because there were no disturbance at all in the Spirit Mountain. They can freely cultivate as long as they want without being stopped after I promised them that the world will still be safe until they returned.

Kayla also reached master level in her light element. But not in her healing element yet, so she will continue cultivating there.

How come she could reach master level in her light element when she said that she would focus more in her healing element first? Must be some sort of bottleneck. I’ll just trust her a bit more until she can reach master level.

Surprisingly, there’s another healer from Varadis who reached master level. But I told her that I won’t accept her regenerating my lost right hand because Kayla has promised me that she will do it.

I also checked the result of her regenerating a lost limb to a disabled member of the army who lost their limb in the battle. And the result was astonishing.

The lost limb was regenerated. But it seems like it will take months until they were properly regenerated and those disabled soldiers can join the fight again.

Why am I so insistent in having Kayla to heal me when other healers can regenerate my lost right hand? Well, because I trust her the most to heal me.

I think if it’s her, it won’t be that long for her to regenerate my right hand. She should be able to find a way to increase the rate of the regeneration using her healing magic.

I’ll be patient. I’m sure that she can do it.

Then there’s Angela.

There were no visible progress about her magic level. So I can only trust her.

She’s one of a kind after all. There’s nothing anyone can teach her. She can only believe in herself that she picked the right decision.

I really hope that she will be fine and not push herself. So when I picked up everyone who was already strong enough and wanted to return, I told her to be patient. Even if she reached master level when we’re in the final battle, she can arrive on time with how fast she will be.

Well, the final battle might still be far from us right now. But I hope we will get there.

So I brought everyone back while leaving Kayla, Angela, and a few others.

I brought them all to Tatrama where all the kings have gathered to see the result of the three months in the Spirit Mountain.

Each king obviously asked about the progress of the soldiers from their own country.

"Since we have this much master level mages now, I think we can send more people to the Spirit Mountain. Roy, how about it?" Albert asked.

"Let’s make a rule first that those who will be sent are those who have reached expert level for a while already. We can’t just send some people who have just reached expert level there in hope that they can reach master level soon after. Also, everyone’s progress rate is different. Well, I’ll leave the rest to you. I’m just responsible for transportation," I said.

I’ve heard that the Spirit King read the memory of some people. And for some reason, after their memories being read and those who got their memory read asked the Spirit King to show them their past, each have different reaction.

Some people actually got their motivation back and their progress improved faster than before they got their memory read. That was good.

But some people actually got their progress stalled. And they should have reached master level faster than some other, but they ended up staying as expert level.

So seeing their own past make their progress change. And for the next batch, I want those with strong mental to go so their progress will be good if their memories were read by the Spirit King.

By the way, those I considered friends didn’t have their memories read by the Spirit King. It’s because he said that it will be boring that way. I don’t know if that’s good or not.

Right now, the king gave the report about what we have been doing in the past three months. Including the game of tag in Monsters World and how I became Robby.

"Many things happened in three months, huh? I understand Roy disguising himself. But a game of tag to improve skills, huh? That sounds interesting," Kron said.

"More importantly, now that we have return, we have something we want to try. Father, please continue acting as the temporary and former king for a while longer. I want to test my strength on Roy," Fabio said.

I understand the others. But him? He should focus on his country. He’s a king after all.

Now that the king of Arturo is a master level mage, the future of that kingdom is safe. As long as we survive against the cult.

I bet he’s interested in the game of tag when I told him that Luna’s Future Sight improved thanks to it. Next time we play the game of tag, I’ll get the children to play first.

After we gave the report to those who have just returned from the Spirit Mountain, it has been decided that the kings will need a few days to select the people who will go there next. And I also might be busy. Because the new master level mages wanted to test their strength on me.

Again, why me?! Do I have a really punch-able face or something?

I guess it’s just that everyone here want to become the strongest. And because they think I’m the strongest, they targeted me.

It’s annoying to be popular. But I hope this popularity will be rewarded.

"Since everyone seems to be in a hurry to fight Roy, let’s finish the discussion. Roy, Lina can take everyone home. You can entertain the others," Albert said.

"Fine. Let’s get going since I have to be Robby tomorrow," I said.

Obviously, it’s not all master level mages I brought to Monsters World to challenge me. Just those I knew. With the exception of Randy since it seems like he’s not interested at all.

As for Carmen, she was here mainly for Luna. She was playing with the monster kids. And she was so happy to meet her mother and her brother again.

"Well then, while you have improved, I also became stronger. So all of you, come at me at once," I said.

Instead of the boring one-on-one challenge, I told everyone to go after me together. I will show them the result of playing game of tag for three months.

And the result was obvious. I didn’t get hit at all. Avoided all their attack and counter them easily.

It’s not just because of the game of tag though. It’s also thanks to the four master level mages who returned early. Veronica, Celestine, Shirley, and Julia. Thanks to sparring with them, I also learned more about the real strength of a master level mage. So I can somehow expect what they will do in a battle against me.

"That’s impossible! To think that all of us together is not much against you," Kron complained.

"If it’s not for the game of tag he created, the fight won’t go this way. That’s why we should play the game as soon as possible. Since tomorrow Roy will be busy, let’s play the game in two days.
