Chapter 960: My Fake Identity

One week has passed since the first ever Ultimate Game of Tag. And we have done it ten times already. With even Spot and Ray joined after the third game.

It was a good training. Because everyone used different strategy each time. And some even teamed-up with me. So I managed to be the champion four times. The one who won the most.

As for Arin, she won one more time after the first one. Then Shelia won three times. And one went to Victoria.

Though other than those four times I won, I got eliminated quite early. I wasn’t even one of the top ten. While Arin and Shelia often stayed long enough for them to be in the top five. And Victoria, even when she’s not one of the top ten, she was always the most troublesome. Even more when she teamed-up with me.

I didn’t feel frustrated at all that I didn’t win other than those four times. Because I can see everyone’s growth.

Everyone did really well thinking of a plan for every game, and improving their teamwork. Even when they’re not playing tag, they just fight in the Colosseum. And that just made them knew each other even better.

I’m glad that there’s no troublemaker in this village. Even if it didn’t seem that way, everyone still respected me.

...That’s what I want to think. I don’t want to think that they actually just using me to have more battle.

Though I believe I was right. Because if they didn’t respect me, they would have just challenge me and will end up respecting me when I won.

Anyway. It was great that everyone improved. Even the one who tagged me out when I was not the champion was never the same monster. I’m quite happy about it. Because that mean everyone got better. Including myself.

I noticed that I can observe where and when an attack will come even without using Divine Vision. And my movement became more agile in any terrain.

In the end, I will end up running in the air more than in the land. But there’s nothing wrong with being able to run in any kind of terrain on the ground as well.

Also, on the last game just yesterday, we added two more people in the game. Celestine and Veronica. They have finished training in the Spirit Mountain.

They said that even though they have reached master level, staying there could solidified their power and they ended up becoming stronger. And then they asked me for a spar two days ago.

Two against one. Two former members of the cult against an Aura Master. The result was a close victory of mine.

They really became stronger after staying in the Spirit Mountain. But I also became stronger after playing several games of tag. I won against two powerful master level mages without using Divine Vision.

Then they asked how I got stronger these last few days. And I replied by saying that I played tag with the monsters. And that’s how those two ended up playing the game together with us yesterday.

They did well. But because they’re not used to the rule compared to the monsters, they got eliminated quite early.

I think we need a new rule where we can add magic. That way, even mages can play better.

Anyway, those two said that they wanted to play more next time. Even Veronica said that she wanted to do it more as well. That introverted Veronica!

Must be because of the kids. I also still bring Alan, Lana, Luna, Daniel, and other orphans to play here with monster kids once in a while.

Daniel somewhat became the boss of the kids. And thanks to him, they played more games together. He even created some game where everyone can play without moving around much . This way, even those who are weaker than average kids can compete with the others.

The kids were happy. Especially Lana since she didn’t need to hold back much when she’s up against monster kids. And Luna as well since she learned to utilize her Future Sight even better.

She wanted to show her ability to her mother, Carmen, after she returned as a master level water mage. If she can use her Future Sight at will, then she can help more even before she grew up and awakened her magic.

I didn’t want that. And probably even Carmen wouldn’t like it if she joined the war even if she’s away from the battlefield. But this was her decision. I hope Carmen can talk her out of this.

Anyway, I learned that this game was very good for someone with Future Sight. And there’s another person with Future Sight. Luna’s brother and the King of Arturo, Fabio.

He’s also training to get at least his fire magic to reach master level. Maybe his other elements as well, I don’t know.

Because he’s a king, even if he’s away from the battlefield, danger will still lurking around him. So if he could use Future Sight at will, even if it’s just to see a few seconds to the future, it can help him a lot.

And so, I will suggest to him to play tag with us when he’s done with his training. It doesn’t have to be every day. As long as his Future Sight improved, that’s good enough.

Thanks to Albert’s involvement in giving rewards to the champion of the tag, the monsters became more motivated. But that’s just for the first few games. After that, they all just want to be the top. Doesn’t matter what the reward was.

Shelia has fought against Arin two days ago. As the reward for her reaching the top three in the first game. And the winner was Shelia. By very close margin.

If only Arin drank more blood that day, she could win. In the end, fortune was not in her favor that day.Though she learned a lot from that fight.

Tia has went to Cassau and hang out with Lina. Though it was actually an outing with Lina and another person. Well, not a person. But a flower.. Sunny was there to join the two going out. And they just play around on the forest near Cassau.

As for Arin, after losing against Shelia, she asked to drink more blood every day. So now that quota of five liters of blood is over. She has to enjoy drinking from the bag for now. And even if I give her blood again, it will be from my finger.

Today, I will take a rest from playing tag with the monsters. The kids also won’t go there. I just don’t want me and the kids to get bored too soon after doing the same thing for days.
