Chapter 952: My Next Training

I’m back in Cassau. Bringing Alan and Lana. And Oleg’s wife who was here was shocked because I just casually returned home carrying the Prince and the Princess.

"Oh, right. I forgot to tell you. I have told Oleg about this but I told him that it’s a secret that must be kept. I guess he never told you about it. Since you know that I’m already close to Albert, then I will tell you this. Obviously, this is a secret. So don’t tell anyone. I’m actually the son of the former king. Albert’s father. Which makes me Albert’s half-brother. And these kids are my niece and nephew," I said.

"...Should I call you Your Highness?" she asked.

"No need. Just treat me like usual. Your husband’s friend and your air magic teacher," I said.

She’s not a powerful mage. But I still taught her air magic in the past. Back when it’s just her and Sara. Before I became a professor at the university.

She has a gun and I can see it hidden under her clothes. She maintained the gun well though I didn’t see any sign of it being used at all.

Well, being the wife of the most influential man in Melk, I don’t think there’s any danger that could approach her.

And she prefer to raise her children rather than fighting. So it’s fine that she’s barely reached advanced level. Though that is already better than any other civilian.

Now, I need to think of a way to improve myself. But what? Should I just go to the Monsters Village and spar with someone?

"Victoria, what do you think is a good training for me?" I asked Victoria.

"What do you want to improve?" she asked back.

"I think it’s good if I can increase my speed without making my strength weaker," I said.

"Is it speed or is it agility? If it’s speed, then you just want to increase your max speed. If it’s agility, then it will be how you use your speed," Victoria said.

I see. I always thought that it’s all just speed. I even started to forgot that I learned the ostrich’s footwork. Maybe I need to learn or even create my own movement technique instead.

"I guess improving my agility comes first," I said.

"Then you need to face a lot of enemies at once. Try to dodge them all without wasting your movement. That might work," she said.

"Did you train something like that in the past?" I asked her.

"No. I read it in a novel in my past life before I came to this world. That might be just a fiction, but you’re more like a fictional character than any other person in this world. That’s why I thought that you might be able to do it. Though for the detailed way of training, we need to think about it," Victoria said.

Thinking too much about training, I might not end up training at all. So in a very rare situation, I asked Victoria for something.

"Victoria, you wrote a lot of fictions based from the story in your previous world, right? Can you recommend me some books where you didn’t write a character based on me doing things I won’t do? Maybe I will learn something if I read it myself," I said.

"Sure! Let’s enter my room then. I have a lot of books to show you. And while you’re reading, I can write more stories," she said.

And so I’m in her room. And I kind of regretted it right away because I got greeted by a book on the desk. A novel. But the cover in that novel is two man hugging each other. And one of the man looked like me.

"...I think I’ll just grab some book and read them in my room instead," I said.

I brought a lot of books to my room. I read a lot of them in a short time. And in just a few hours, I finished reading a lot of them.

They were interesting. But I didn’t see anything that could improve my ability.

At this point, I started thinking what if I just run for days without stopping? Maybe I can be faster.

I looked outside of the window and on the park I made for the kids to play, I could see Luna, Alan, Lana, and all the children were playing there. And Daniel seemed to be the oldest kid there. Acting like their leader.

I see Lana used her ice magic to create snow and play with other kids there. Just how good is she? I think that she’s already at a level where she can fight a master level mage.

She’s still a kid but she’s already so strong. Even her physical strength is way above other kids. That’s why instead of playing tag with Alan and other kids, she prefer to play in the sandbox. Or snowbox? Depend on what she wants.

It’s a shame that she can’t play with other kids because of her strength. I guess that’s why she loves it when I came because she knew that I’m strong enough to play with her physically. Though Shirley is now a master level, so she can play with Lana.

But in the end, it’s best that a kid is playing with other kids. Whenever she played tag with other kids, she had to hold back so much or else she will hurt someone. And she even voluntarily be tagged by other kids even though I felt like she didn’t want to.

Wait! I think I found it! A way to improve my agility! By playing tag!

And I can bring Lana there to play tag with the werewolf children or other monster kids because they’re all strong and fast!

"Roy, have you finished reading them? That was quick," Victoria entered my room as I just found a way for me to train.

"Victoria, good timing. I found a way for me to train. And this could be good for you as well," I said.

And so we discussed it together. And it didn’t take long until we decided on what to do.

"Is it safe to bring children there though?" Victoria asked.

"Let’s ask them first."

And we transported to the Monsters Village. I could see that everyone is working hard to improve themselves. Other than those who were looking for food.

Even if I brought them food once in a while, they still hunt their own food. Especially the dragons who ate a lot.

I saw Cooldra and other dragons were training. I only told Victoria about Cooldra at this time because she didn’t know about me riding him in the previous battle. Though that was not for long.

Then I asked Red about the kids here.

"The kids? Well, some are strong and slow, while some are weak and fast. Though there are some who are fast and strong. If there’s a fight between kids, we just let them fight. Obviously, as you ordered, we have some adults watching over the kids to stop them before anyone gets injured. Because of that, the kids grew smarter and only fight without revealing their strength so the adults won’t stop them," Red said.

They are crazy monster kids. But they are quite smart.

Which means that these monsters can hold back their power. I think it’s fine to bring the kids here even though I don’t have to.

Then I told Red that I will start training from tomorrow. And I will sometime bring human kids with me there.

But right before I was about to go home, Cooldra and several other dragons approached me.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I told the dragons about the cult being our enemy. A lot of us want to fight. But even then, not everyone wants to fight under you. I think you will have a lot of problem in the future if the dragons don’t obey you. So if you can, will you fight them now and prove them that you are strong? If you do, then there’s no problem for them to obey you in the next battle," Cooldra said.

"Sure. That would be for the best if I can have them follow my lead. Tell the dragons that all of them who don’t want to trust me to fight me at the same time. I’ll show everyone how strong I am," I said.

I might be overconfident right now. But against dragons who were not used with teamwork, there’s nothing for me to be afraid of. In fact, this could be much easier than fighting one dragon at a time.

And so, I fought about fifteen dragons. They are those who will fight the cult but still can’t trust me to lead them.

There were still many other dragons here. Some already decided to trust me, and some will not even join the fight. But that’s fine.

And so, I fought fifteen dragons at once. Without using any weapon, I defeated them all. It was easy. But it took some time.

"Now, will you trust me?" I asked the dragons.

They bowed toward me as their answer. Not just the dragons I defeated,but also other dragons who watched.

"Like I said, I won’t force anyone who doesn’t want to fight to join me. But for those who want to join, then you have to obey me. As for those who want to fight but don’t want to join me in the war, that’s fine as well. But I won’t help you at all," I said.

Just like that, and I got the dragons to obey me. Now I also became the King of the Dragons. Is what I like to say.

I can’t be proud of it knowing that they have Andro, the Kaiser Dragon. He’s still the one these dragons respected the most.

And so, I returned back home to rest. Tomorrow is the start of my training/playing.
