The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 947: They Already Spread the News

Chapter 947: They Already Spread the News

"You have grown stronger, Oleg. The one you defeated should already be a master level mage," I complimented Oleg who defeated the thugs along with the Attention-seeker.

They’re all still alive, but they’re already unable to fight anymore.

But some of them were master level mages. From what I checked before when I was walking around the city before, there were no master level mages at all.

Maybe there were some, but they were just too good at acting like they’re not master level mages. So I never realized that even in what seemed like a peaceful city, there were still members of the cult roaming about.

"Did you just complimented me even though I just defeated one mage? You defeated the rest of them. I feel ashamed to accept that as a praise. I’ll take that as an insult," Oleg said.

"Don’t be like that. Even in real battle, the average soldier needed to be in a group just to defeat one master level mage. But you did it on your own. And don’t compare yourself with me. In fact, don’t ever compare any other mage with me. Because I’m just an extremely rare case," I said.

There’s no need to be ashamed if anyone feels inferior to me. Because what I did, and how I fight is completely different than how other people fight.

Though if it’s just shooting and marksmanship, then it’s fine to compare with me. But I won’t lose.

Even if I say that, I’m still inferior in shooting compared to Sara. Well, everyone has their own advantages and disadvantages.

"Oleg, do you know them? To think that there are this many master level mages in Melk. It’s impossible for someone like you to not know them," I asked Oleg.

"I do know that they are the bandits who built their base in a nearby mountain. A lot of them were earth mages, so it was too difficult for the either the military or the hunters to eradicate them. But I would never think that some of them would be master level mages. Are you going to report this to His Majesty the King?" Oleg asked.

"Obviously. But I’ll do that later. For now, help me bring these people to where they will be imprisoned. Or killed. Depend on my mood," I said.

"...I think you will kill some if not all of them," Oleg said.

That’s correct! Though I don’t think I need to tell him who I will kill.

All of them were still conscious. But I made sure that they have a lot of broken bones so they can’t move.

The Attention-seeker also received the same treatment. But his face is filled with horror. This is why he shouldn’t mess with me.

"For now, let’s throw these people into the portal. The other side of the portal is a Magicless Area. This way, they won’t be able to use magic there," I said as I opened a portal.

"This is the first time I’ve been there. I’m just too afraid to go there because I don’t know what to do without magic," Oleg said as he threw one of the thugs inside.

"Don’t worry. Close to the portal is where you can still use magic. After all, if I can’t use magic there, the portal won’t be opened. And..." I threw another person inside. This one fell closer to the portal than where Oleg threw the previous person at.

"Use that man as the mark where the border of the Magicless Area started. Just throw the others farther than where that man is. Also, it’s pretty close to the prison where some of them will stay for the rest of their lives. The guards will surely come sooner or later if they see the portal. We’ll just gather information before they arrive to interrogate them any further," I said.

"I don’t know what to ask them, so I’ll leave everything to you," Oleg said.

We continued throwing the thugs one by one until finally, it’s the Attention-seeker’s turn.

"P-Please forgive me! I’m sorry for everything I did!"

No more any sign of him trying to gain someone’s attention, he pleaded for mercy. But I refuse to give him any mercy. So I just threw him along the others.

Oleg and I entered the portal and I closed it. Oleg then tested the place to see whether he can no longer use magic anymore.

"It’s true. I can’t use magic beyond this place," Oleg said.

"Just stay there as I ask them some questions," I said to Oleg.

Then I turned everyone’s face toward me. It’s annoying that I broke them so much that they couldn’t even move their neck. I’ll try my best next time to make them still able to move their neck next time.

Now, what should I ask? The location of their base? Oleg should know that already.

"I’m sorry! I was just jealous of you! Please let me live!"

By the way, the Attention-seeker was still begging for mercy.

Wait, now that the cult knew that I’m a master level summoner, I need to know how much has the news spread about the previous battle.

If they knew that I’m the Aura user they were looking for, then if they have heard the news, they should know that I should be missing a hand.

"You, do you remember how I left the reunion party that night?" I asked the Attention-seeker.

"Yes! You had an important matter together with the Princess, right?" he said.

"Right. And this is the result of that important matter. There were a lot of things happened in just one day."

I grabbed my fake right hand with my left hand, and pulled it out from my wrist. Showing my missing right hand.

They were shocked. Including Oleg.

But some of them were just too shocked. And that’s the expression I wanted to see.

"Found you."

I smiled at those who were too shocked to see my missing right hand.

"What is this? I’ve heard that we will only get rid of a master level summoner. He should only have a Black Slime. But he’s the Aura user. He should have five familiars!" one of them shouted.

"You mean me? I think I killed a lot of your friends in the valley."

My prosthetic right hand suddenly talked. And then she transformed into a humanoid version of herself covered with armor.

"You’re the living armor!"

I see. Looking at the others’ reaction, not all of the master level mages realized the situation.

"So you recognized that I’m the Aura user from my missing right hand that the Archbishop cut off yesterday. I guess the speed of your spread of information is great. Thank you for telling me that. The rest will be up to the professional investigators to ask you," I said.

Soon after, some prison guards arrived. I told them the whole story and they happily took them into the prison. Though I did kill some of them including the Attention-seeker before they arrive. That guy was too annoying to be left alive.

"I guess we’ll need to tell Albert about this," I said as I tried to raise my right hand to my chin and make a thinking pose. But I forgot that my hand was no longer there. So I stupidly jabbed my own chin with my wrist.

"...You look stupid. I’ll return back as your hand now," Victoria said as she crawled into my right wrist and became my hand again.

I guess I’ll need to go to where Albert is now and tell him about this. I can just use my phone to contact him, but I think it’s better if Albert is the one telling the others instead.

"...How strong was him? The Archbishop I mean," Oleg asked while he’s staring at my right hand.

"Not just strong. He’s also very smart. He knew that great surgeons can now reattach missing limbs back to the body. So after he cut off my hand, he destroyed it while risking his life. Though we managed to capture him and not killing him instead. If we had to kill him, then this wouldn’t happen," I said as I wave my right hand.

"I guess even being a master level mage is not enough. But that is still important for the next battle. So, what should we do now?" Oleg asked.

"After informing Albert about this, I will get rid of the bandit base. You know where it is, right? Do you want to come as well?" I asked.

"I’ll go. Unlike you all, I lack fighting experience the most," Oleg said.

"Good. I’ll also bring some other people so that the cult won’t think that the Aura user is in Melk. I guess I should tell the kings as well about this. Maybe there are other cities where fake bandits come and go whenever they want like Melk.

I’m sure of it. Melk won’t be the only city where fake bandits who are actually members of the cult was monitoring. Maybe even Cassau has some bandit groups nearby. I’ll check on them later.

I guess I might need more time to rest since I already used portal many times today. But at least I didn’t open any portal as large as the floating island today.
