The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 946: The Attention-Seeker Again?

Chapter 946: The Attention-Seeker Again?

"Thank you, Roy. Because you and Kayla are both here, we could treat everyone," old man Henry said during lunch.

Right now, after finishing helping with the treatment of the patients in the capital, old man Henry invited me for lunch with him and his family. Obviously, Julia and William were there as well. Also some of old man Henry’s other children who were here.

Most of them don’t know me as they were confused as to why I got invited for a family meal. Not a party, but just a meal. Though some of his sons noticed Kayla’s beauty and tried to flirt with her. Fortunately, old man Henry stopped them by saying that we’re their saviors.

"If not for his magic, the capital would have been destroyed to dust. Show him some respect," old man Henry said.

"I thought that he’s just a doctor. I’ll show my respect if he can invent a new treatment like the mysterious doctor I idolized. Father, I thought that you will help me to meet him one day. When will you keep your promise?" one of his sons asked.

Not just him. His other children also nodded in agreement whether they are men or women.

Seems like even among his children, not all of them were interested in politic. They are more interested in medical knowledge.

As for that mysterious doctor, that was me. I had the people to spread my medical knowledge from the future while still being anonymous. So no one knows that the person who invented those treatment, although those knowledge were from other people that I stole, was me. Except for the people whom I taught directly.

"...That’s the guy. The mysterious doctor who spread his knowledge without asking for any reward just so we can save more people. It’s him. His name is Roy. Not only was he the mysterious doctor, he’s also the most important member in our alliance against the cult. If not for him sending people to protect the capital, everything would be destroyed already," old man Henry said.

Julia just nodded. As for William, I think he was also shocked to hear that I was the mysterious doctor. I guess I never told him about it. Maybe even his own father forgot to tell him.

"Oh, old man. I’ll return home after this since my job is done. I also still need a lot of rest to recover all my mana. Since there’s no more patient in need of treatment and there’s enough shelter for everyone here, there’s no need for us to stay here any longer," I said.

"I understand. And about the people who will go to the Spirit Mountain, Julia will be among them. Please take care of them," old man Henry said.

"All I did was just transporting people over. Also, Angela is already there and trained on her own. Julia, if you want, you can go there first," I suggested.

"Hmm... I think I’ll pass. I’ll go with everyone else from here," Julia said.

It won’t be just one time that I brought people over. But I will continue doing it over and over again. And even then, I don’t think that we will have enough manpower since I’m sure that the cult still have a lot more master level mages.

Even yesterday, there were many people who managed to escape. And there’s nothing we could do because we’re too busy fighting.

Then, before I got surrounded by old man Henry’s children who wanted to shake my hand because they idolized me too much, I opened a portal and returned back to Melk.

I don’t feel sorry at all to get the credit from the medical knowledge I spread even if those knowledge were supposed to be discovered or invented by one of them. It’s all for the good of the world.

Those people must have really wanted to have a chat with me about doctor-related topic. I’ll just bring Sophie over in the future. I’m sure she will enjoy talking with them.

Now I’m back to Melk. And even though I need rest, I’m not tired enough today to sleep. So I just walked around in the city.

It’s strange. Just yesterday, I fought with my life on the line. But being here, it’s as if all that battle never happened. No one here knew the fact that the cult was so close in destroying Varadis.

I saw the hunter guild from afar. Using my Divine Vision, I peeked inside the guild. And I could see that some people have just decided to join the guild and become hunters.

They were some of my former classmates. I guess that reunion party worked well to get more people becoming hunters. Even gathering herbs are good enough to help with the war.

When I chatted with my former classmates, I also included the talk about gathering herbs just to get some pocket money. Thanks to Shirley’s appearance in the party, everyone believed me when I said that gathering useful herbs for potions and medicine are good enough to help with the war against the cult. And I guess that’s why some of my former classmates decided to register as hunters to help with the fight their own way.

Then I looked at the Arena. That Attention-seeker was not there. And it was comparably much more quieter than when he was fighting. I guess he’s just that popular.

I wonder why he’s not there? Was it because I hurt his pride?

Well, I knew the answer. It’s because he’s somehow gathering quite a number of people to surround me. They are tailing me right now.

Seriously, does that guy never learn? Maybe I’ll use this chance to just kill him and those other people.

Just in case some of them were members of the cult who heard about me losing my hand, I made sure that no one will think that I’m wearing a prosthetic hand...

I purposely walked into an empty alleyway only to get myself surrounded by them. How stupid of them.

"Roy, I’ll kill you for humiliating me in front of everyone!"

No introduction. Not even a greeting. Just the Attention-seeker suddenly appeared leading the others and tried to kill me. He’s annoying to the end.

So I just jumped over the building easily. Did they really think that they can win against a master level summoner?

Well, I’m sure that they are not thinking straight anyway. In fact, I doubt that they ever think at all.

I jumped over the buildings and from rooftop to rooftop, I left the city into the forest nearby.

And those stupid idiots were still following me. Just how much do they get paid?

Hmm? Is that Oleg?

"Hey, Oleg. What are you doing here?"

I stopped running when I see Oleg in the forest.

"Oh, Roy. The guild asked me to check the surrounding area. Apparently, there was an ogre nearby. And ogres shouldn’t be a monster around this place. Seems like it was just an individual getting lost here. Fortunately, a group of B-rank hunters managed to subjugate it," Oleg said.

"I see. By the way, I’m being chased by a group of idiots. I’m going to kill them. So if you find anyone who shouldn’t be killed, tell me. Not that I will stop killing them though," I said.

"Sigh... What did you do?" Oleg asked.

"I humiliated an attention-seeker during the reunion party. And now that guy is here with some other people trying to kill me. You should be able to sense them soon," I said.

"Attention-seeker? Since it’s in the reunion party, was it the guy who always fight in the Arena?" Oleg asked.

"You know him?"

"As you just said before, he’s an idiot. But he still managed to get close with children of nobles here," Oleg said.

"I know. That’s why I asked you to tell me if you find anyone I shouldn’t kill but I will kill anyway," I said.

"Then there’s no reason for me to tell you about it. Anyway, it’s fine if you kill them all. I’m sure that no one is able to hold you under the law. You’re way above the law," Oleg said.

I got the permission to kill. And soon after, they finally arrived. And they were shocked to see Oleg here.

Why are they having second thought? They were trying to kill a master level summoner. Why stop when they were facing only an expert level mage?

"Even if you ask for Oleg’s help, I will still kill you!" the Attention-seeker shouted.

I just sighed at their stupidity.

"Roy, should I help?" Oleg asked if I needed a hand.

"No need. Wait, how much do you know about yesterday’s battle?" I asked Oleg this time.

"What battle?"

Seems like he didn’t know that Varadis was almost destroyed. I guess I should tell him about it.

"Well, if you think you can gain some fighting experience here, then feel free to fight. Just don’t kill anyone. Because I will take them somewhere before I kill them myself. Maybe. Also, I have many things to tell you. But let’s get rid of them first," I said.

And it was not enough to be called as a battle. It was just one-sided massacre.
