Chapter 944: Time to Get Some Rest

"Huff... huff... are we done here?"

I have finally defeated the rest of the enemies in the valley along with the help of everyone.

Even though I told them to leave the rest to me, they still helped. Which was actually better. Because even though we’re fighting together, I still got tired in the end.

If I continued being so stubborn and just fought everyone on my own, I would be lying on the ground already. Whether I win or not, I would be way too exhausted.

Though it was a good idea to summon Ray before the last fight. Because I managed to recover a bit of mana while riding him. So now I can open up portals a few more times. Which was great since it means that I can bring someone from the other battlefields to come with me to Consenza and probably I had enough mana to even bring the kings back to their own homes.

"Yes. Most of the enemies are dead already. The rest are no longer in the condition to fight. We have put the Magic Restricting Collar on them and also restrain them using a very strong chain so their strength won’t be enough for them to escape," Candy said.

"That’s good. Then, I will return to Consenza and meet the kings. Anyone coming?" I asked.

And so, Kayla, Angela, Shirley, Jewel, all the vampires, and few others will be coming. The rest will stay here and investigate everything that we probably missed.

Well, it’s also because I don’t think I will have enough mana to bring everyone back home. It was also Candy’s suggestion to just pick them up at a later date and use the remaining of my mana to bring the kings back home.

I really wish that there’s another summoner with us who made a contract with a familiar who can make a lot of clones like Victoria. Or mybe just like Graham. That’s good enough.

Wait, now that Lina had made a contract with Sonia, does it mean that Sonia is able to open up a portal to anywhere there’s Sonia’s soil? Even if she couldn’t, she can just get Sonia teleport to where Sonia’s Soil are and then Lina can just open up a portal to where Sonia is. That’s a great idea.

With this, I won’t have to use my portal too much. Though Lina is my maid and lover. Her loyalty lies to me and not even the king. She’s a bit weird as well, but not in the way I dislike.

I guess if I tell her to do it, she will do it. The same goes to Sonia. But I’ll discuss it later with her after I get enough rest.

I brought some people back to Consenza. Then Victoria, Albert, and the others greeted me with congratulations over the victory.

"I think we should refrain to have too much regular meeting from now on so that Roy can open up more portals in the future," Fabio suggested.

"Yeah. Let’s discuss things over on the forum using our phones instead. Unless it’s an emergency that needed everyone’s opinion to discuss," old man Henry agreed.

"Let’s talk about that later. Call someone in other battlefield that I will pick some of them up and bring them here to give their report. I think old man Henry also want to go back as soon as possible," I suggested.

I waited in the room and someone offered me a drink knowing that I’m tired. Of course I accepted it.

Soon enough, I got confirmation and I left the place using portal.

I opened up a portal to where Crabbe was first. After getting someone come here, I brought the monsters back to Monsters Village. The vampires whom I brought back to Consenza also said that they wanted to go to the village for now, so I also transferred them there.

Then it was where Graham was fighting. And I did the same.

It was also the case to where Shelia was. Well, I also fought here before against the Archbishop.

Lastly, I opened a portal to the capital of Varadis. Right to where Julia was after we contacted her.

And I can see that a large area in the capital were destroyed. There were a lot of civilians casualties as well.

"Is father watching?" Julia asked me after she recognized the camera still attached on my chest.

I nodded to answer her.

"This is the result of the cult trying to destroy the capital. We managed to save a lot, but it proves that we’re still not strong enough to face everyone. I’ll tell everyone when we’re there. We can leave this place to William and the others," Julia said.

After looking over the capital for a bit more so that everyone can watch it, I returned back with Julia to Consenza.

"...This is terrible. With that death mage as well raising the dead as zombies, and they could even use magic, we almost have no hope at all in winning this war," someone said.

That... might be true. So right now, the target is not just the Evil God. But also the death mage.

"What if that death mage is so strong? What if the Evil God should really be dead, but the death mage raised him from the death. And using his knowledge and wisdom, the death mage and the Evil God worked together to create this cult. Seems like just defeating the Evil God won’t finish the war at all," someone else said.

And the mystery got deeper. When will we be free from this hell of battle?

"But at least this guy was the one behind that weird door. There’s no other person there when I peeked before," Sonia said.

Then at least we can tell that this guy is one of the most important member of the cult. And hearing this, maybe the Archbishop’s rank didn’t make him important enough to know everything.

One by one, we reported everything. Though I don’t think I need to tell much because they watched everything.

"Thanks to the Archbishop cutting off Roy’s right hand, there’s a high chance that the cult will make their move sooner knowing that the Aura user is weakened so that he won’t be able to heal quickly. Though at least they don’t know that Roy’s missing hand doesn’t mean anything," Albert said.

Then I showed everyone that I can just transformed the Blobbies in my hand, which was transformed into a knife hand before, into the shape of a normal hand. The hand I’m very familiar with except for the color and the inside of that hand.

"With a bit of practice, I am confident that this hand will be as good as my usual hand. At least until my hand is fully regenerated, I will fight like this," I said.

Though of course I still hope that my hand will regenerate quickly.

"But that doesn’t erase the problem that the cult will attack us again soon," Lynn said.

"The only thing we can do is to get stronger. In two days, after Roy get enough sleep and brought everyone who is still in the battlefield back, he will bring some people to the Spirit Mountain to cultivate their magic. That’s the most important thing. We lacked master level mages. That’s why we lost so many people today," Albert said.

"But we can’t bring all the strong mages there at once. Because we still need some strong mages to protect the countries. Now, I really wish that those people at the party to join us fighting the cult instead of thinking about themselves. Even though I enjoyed the party last night, I felt regretful because in the end, they still showed no reaction at all when I told them that they should join us.

Whatever. For now, let’s get some sleep. I’m tired.
