The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 942: A Death Mage in Their Rank

Chapter 942: A Death Mage in Their Rank

"Is he still here?" Sara asked Sonia.

We found Sonia unconscious in a room in the lowest floor of this place. There’s one more place we haven’t checked.

And hearing that the Evil God was here, then that place was truly the place where he hid.

Not only that, Sonia also told us that the Evil God was the same person as the man who killed her in the past. The one who harbor ill-will to all Aura users.

Well, it was at first because of Sonia. Because of her desire to get a harem, the Evil God found her and every Aura users to be nuisances.

Though that doesn’t explain why the Evil God wanted to destroy the world. Something else must have happened.

But at least we finally found out who the Evil God was. And he was truly someone who was still alive even after a thousand years.

Or maybe this one is his descendant. We don’t know that yet. But at least Sonia recognized that he has the same appearance as the one who killed her.

"I don’t know. He was talking to a door. That door must be a monster that is shaped as a door," Sonia said.

So we’re right that the door was a monster. And maybe that door is the familiar of the Archbishop we just captured.

"How did you know that? Did you enter the room he’s in?" Sara asked again.

"Well, I did. But I feel weird when I pass through the wall and the door here. Something must have been used on the doors and the walls to make it harder for me to infiltrate," Sonia said.

"Then how did you get caught?" Sara asked.

"Well, that guy and the door was talking about an Aura user. And then the door said something like they have severed the Aura user’s hand. I guess it was true looking at Roy’s hand. They talked about them but I never realized that they have been wary of me from the start. Then someone who can grab me somehow appeared and tried to interrogate me. I just pretend that I couldn’t speak at all. Just a wild ghost. Then she used a magic to make me, a ghost, to be unconscious. Maybe she’s a death mage like one of Timmy’s friends back then," Sonia explained.

So, a death mage. I think it’s very rare. And some of them were even called necromancer instead of just a mage.

They can raise the dead. A so-called zombie being. That’s what Victoria said when that death mage ghost explained to us what a death mage was in the past.

I guess no matter how many we defeated, it will be useless if they can just revive them again as zombies to fight the war for them. No wonder they encourage their own worshipers to die.

"Why did they capture you instead of killing you?" I asked.

"I don’t know. Maybe they want to tame me? Or maybe the death mage has a use for me. I lost my consciousness so I don’t know what they’re planning on me," Sonia said.

She’s already Lina’s familiar, so it should be impossible for her to be tamed. I can only guess that they could not recognize Sonia as an enemy. They just thought that she attracted to this place because of the battle on the surface.

Then, before they could do anything to her, we came. And then they escaped using portal or some other means before we could reach to this place.

Well, I will know if they’re still here or not after we examine the last door.

"So, did the Evil God recognize you as someone he killed in the past? Especially since you should be the first Aura user he killed before he started hunting Aura users one by one," I asked Sonia.

"No, I don’t think he recognize me at all. Maybe he forgot," Sonia said.

"Or maybe he’s not the same person as back then. This one could be his descendant who has similar appearance. But we will never know until he told us about it himself. Let’s just focus on what to do next. Sara?"

"Next should be the last door. We enter using the same method as when we enter this door," Sara said.

"Okay. Sonia, teleport to Consenza directly and tell everyone there about what you saw. Use Victoria over there and mold her into the shape of the Evil God. Maybe she will recognize him as the one who killed her as well. And Lina, good job in getting Sonia as your familiar. It’s good that you have reached expert level, but the enemy is still stronger than you. Maybe if you have reached master level, then you can join the war. Or maybe you can just stay at home since I can trust you to protect our home instead. Just go back now and protect our home," I said.

I know that Lina sometimes practiced using a sword. She hid it from me because she wanted me to praise her later. So she never practiced when I’m home. She got Elsie to help her look for me so she can stop practicing when I’m close.

Unfortunately, one of the orphans we have saw her practicing by accident. And when I played with him, he told me about it. That’s how I know.

If she wants me to teach her about swordsmanship, then I can teach her. But she never asked me.

"I won’t join the war. I’ll just get stronger to protect our home. But for my familiar, I will gladly lend them to you," Lina said before she opened a portal again to where Sunny was and returned home.

If she reach master level, then our home will be safer. Though I think it’s better to have a mage and not a summoner who can only use physical attack without using Aura. But I’m sure if it’s her, she can protect our home. Maybe together with Sunny and Elsie. And all of us can fight the war in peace.

Fight the war in peace...

War in peace...

Never thought that I can use those two words together like that.

Lina and Sonia is now gone. Leaving us three again. And this time, I’m ready to open the door.

"Should we just bang the door or unlock it quietly?" I asked.

"Either way, they already know that we’re here. Though since the door that Sonia talked about is not here, I don’t think the Evil God himself is here. Let’s finish it quickly so we can return to help the others above," Sara said.

And so, I just kicked the door open very hard. Sonia is already back, so I don’t need to worry whether the door will hit someone or not. Because anyone here should be enemy.

As soon as the door was opened, I entered the room with the sword in my left and my knife hand preparing to fight right away.

The room was large. But there’s nothing here. Completely empty.

"This... it’s empty," Shirley said as she entered the room.

"Not surprising. Then, we can tell that the Evil God has a summoner with him, or maybe he’s a summoner himself. Or that door-like monster has thee ability to teleport like Sonia and bring others with it, or open a portal like a summoner does," Sara said.

"Not that! It’s completely empty! There’s not even... anything in this room! No table, bed, or anything. Just an empty room," Shirley said.

Right. Even the room where Sonia was imprisoned has a bed, a desk, and a chair even though the room didn’t seem to be used at all.

But this room is completely empty even though it’s the largest room we found in this place.

Except... that the wall is a fake.

"The wall here is a fake. But it’s also something that my Divine Vision can’t see through. Be careful, I’ll destroy this wall," I said.

Everyone prepared themselves to fight behind me. Preparing to cast magic if those in front of us were enemies.

Then, I slashed the wall and made an opening with the sword and my knife hand. Making a triangle-shaped entrance on the wall.

There, we see... dead people. Dead people walking.

"Are they zombies? Just three of them though. Seems like I don’t even have to do anything," Shirley said.

But as she let down her guard, the zombies attacked us at the same time. Using magic!

"Fuck! Even dead people can still use magic?"

The magic was also at the strength of an average master level mages. They are strong. But I can still stop them. Probably. Though I just cut the magic easily.

"Don’t kill them! Or destroy them? I don’t know. Try putting the Magic Restricting Collar on them. From now, the cult might bring those things as enemies. We need to find their weaknesses before they came. And those three are good for experiments," Sara said.

I thought of severing their legs to make them unable to walk. But even then, their legs can still move even though they have been disconnected from the body.

So I had to put the collar on three necks and two legs to make sure no one, or nothing, can use magic.

This is the weirdest object we found. But this is our clue to the next battle as well. I hope we can continue winning next time. If this can be considered as victory.
