Now what? This guy appeared out of nowhere and asked me for a duel. Well, not that I will refuse him though.
But still, to gain so much attention that he needs to wait until the reunion party while bringing sons of aristocrats here, he sure is worthy of being called Attention-seeker.
If he’s angry, he can just came to me when he saw me in the Arena. But no. This guy waited until the reunion party to set up the stage.
I thought when I heard about him from Candy, even if he’s hostile toward me, he’s a smart enough man to not, well, do this. But I was wrong.
I thought that in the reunion, even if he wants to cause some trouble, it won’t be much. But he brought many people here and cause a big ruckus. I guess I should stop him.
"If you want to fight me, you can challenge me anytime you want. But there’s no need to bring other people in our fight. Kayla and Angela are free to do what they want," I said.
Attention-seeker just smiled at me hearing that response.
"No. If I win, Kayla and Angela will leave you. And—"
Alright, he’s stupid. No one should treat anyone else like an object. Though for me, I treat a lot of people as dead men. Because they are stupid. Just like this guy.
Treating both Angela and Kayla as objects, there’s no way that they can let it be. I can feel their anger all the way here. So there’s no need to care about this man’s life anymore.
And in the middle of his sentence, it happened. Angela quickly freezes everything here with her ice magic. Everything turns cold. Though I wish that she won’t freeze everything like this because now my tea is frozen.
I like cold tea, but frozen? Now what? Should I lick it like ice cream?
Not only everything is frozen. The ice also freeze the Attention-seeker’s feet. And from there, the ice climbed and freeze him until his upper body.
"Who are you to tell me what to do?" Angela asked calmly. Though I can see her anger from her eyes.
The man is in panic. He tried to use his fire magic so that he can be free from the ice. But instead, it doesn’t affect the ice at all.
"Like I said, if you want to challenge me, then you can just do it without having to bring anyone else. But you’re stupid. Even if you win, do you think that Angela and Kayla will just accept it and be yours? That’s impossible. The moment you enter this restaurant and brought many uninvited guests here, you have lost their respect completely. They’re only here to meet their old friends. And you brought uninvited guests who wanted to bother them. Both Kayla and Angela already considered you and those who agreed with you as the worst here. Only slightly better than anyone from the cult since they didn’t kill you right away," I said.
Then I gestured with my hand to Angela to calm her down and stop using her magic. Right away, all the ice disappeared. Along with the cold. Now the temperature is normal again.
"So, do you still need to fight me? You won’t get the girls though," I said.
"...Aren’t you ashamed to hide behind girls’ back?" he asked me angrily.
"No. You should be the one feeling ashamed right now. Whatever your plan is, you failed completely. If you don’t want to fight me, how about we continue the party? Everyone can enjoy the party and talk about anything while I just sit here and eating. That would be the best," I said.
Feeling humiliated, he aimed his anger toward me. Though I was not the one who froze him though.
"No matter what, you are not worthy to be with them!" he shouted as he was about to cast a magic spell at me.
"And you are not worthy of insulting him."
All of a sudden, someone interrupted us. And it’s none other than my big sister, Shirley!
"Everyone, inluding the uninvited guests, please welcome another uninvited guest that I invited. Her highness, Princess Shirley," I said after I stood up from the seat.
Everyone turned toward Shirley. And realizing that it’s the princess, the uninvited guests quickly knelt down. Followed by everyone else except for me, Angela, Kayla, and the shocked Attention-seeker. For Wendy though, it’s normal that she’s kneeling.
"No need for that. I came here uninvited after hearing from Roy that he has a reunion party here. You all can stand now. Though I never thought that there will be so many disrespectful uninvited guests who came here to bother with my friends, Angela and Kayla. Though for Roy, if you want to, you can bother with him all you want. Of course that’s only if you have what it takes. You’re just nothing in front of him," Shirley said as she walked toward us.
I invited Shirley because she wanted to come after hearing the party. Although her goal is to see if there’s anyone here who might be willing to join the army and fight the cult. Though that’s not her real intention.
She wanted to come so that she can make friends with someone in our generation. Although she’s a few years older than us.
But because of this Attention-seeker, she is annoyed. Extremely so. Because her younger brother is being bullied.
"B-but he has done nothing at all, Your Highness! He’s just a weak mage with a weak familiar!" Attention-seeker shouted. To the Princess? He’s totally crazy. His mind is unable to work anymore.
"Then go and fight him fairly. You can use anything. And see if you can even harm an expert level air mage and a master level summoner whom you declared to be weak," Shirley said.
Now everyone’s attention is toward me. They are staring at me in disbelief.
"What? Don’t believe the Princess? Then you can fight me however you want. Though this time, it’s just us. And you can’t bring Kayla and Angela to our business."
All the confidence in his eyes totally disappear. His face is full of fear now. But there’s nothing he can do.
In despair, he tried to use his most powerful fire magic as an advanced level mage. But before it could even reach me, the fire disappears.
"Sigh... Fire needs flammable type of gas to keep burning. I just make those type of gas disappear with my air magic. If that’s all you can do, then it’s impossible for you to win, weakling," I provoked him.
"U-UWAAAHHH!"
This time, he threw a punch at me. And I didn’ even bother to dodge as his fist hits my forehead.
Of course the result is predictable. He broke his fist.
"AAARGH!" He screamed in pain.
"You idiot. You’ve learned at school that each time someone’s magic level increased, their physical strength will be improved, right? Obviously, I’m who is a master level summoner, has much more strength than you. But you decided to punch me like that. The more desperate you are, the more annoying you became. Give up or I will start fighting back," I said.
"I...I give up," he said.
"Good. Then get let’s continue with the party," I said.
I returned back to my seat after grabbing another table. Then I asked the staffs to bring me more food like before.
Meanwhile, Shirley is there making a speech about how great I actually am.
"As you can see, you are all nothing to him. I don’t know about his school life, but I know him well enough to know that he never bothered to get serious at school. He is the reason that I, Kayla, and Wendy reached master level as well. And he’s the reason that even though we have reached master level, Angela who is still an expert level mage is still stronger than us. Instead of finding out about that, you decided to cause a trouble by something you only know him for. Both Kayla and Angela love him because of many reasons. And if you get in their way, consider me your enemy," Shirley said.
Now, no one will bother with me again. Though I’m wondering whether I should go home or not.
Everyone is in despair hearing that after thinking that they can freely bully me because they thought that I was weak. But I’m much stronger than they expected. Now, they must be thinking that if they can make a good impression to me, I can help them to reach master level.
But now, it’s too late for them. Is what they thought.
And now the uninvited guests no longer dare to touch Kayla and Angela. And they’re even afraid of Wendy. They wanted to leave, but the Princess is here. So they can’t leave without her permission. And their parents will hear about this.
Though if it’s their parents, since Albert think that they can be trusted with their duty, I’m sure that they must have one way or another heard about me. And these idiots will be punished by their parents.
After cleaning up everthing, we resumed the party. With many people glancing at me but they are too afraid to talk to me. While Kayla and Angela, those who had good relationship with them at school, happily chatted with them. And Wendy is getting praised by the teachers since she reached master level. And Shirley is trying to get along with anyone who she thought to be good person.
Meanwhile, I can proudly say that I alone devoured half of the dishes prepared for the party. They are good. But not as good as Lina’s foods.
Well, I’ll just go back to Cassau tomorrow and eat her foods as much as I want then. For today, I’ll continue staying in the corner.
