The man from the Arena looked at me before he took a seat in front of me.
"...Just so you know, soon after I came here, this table became a designated table for me to eat as much as I want. Do you like eating?" I asked the man.
"...You’re just here to get free food? You’re a shame of humanity! How dare someone like you live without a care like this!"
The man did not only screamed at me. But he’s also using his fire magic to intimidate me. So now, we’re gaining everyone’s attention.
"Calm down, Jack! You shouldn’t get angry here!" one of the teacher shouted.
And everyone else seem to be watching him in silence.
I know that stares. That’s the stare that everyone is using when they are looking at Angela.
Seems like this guy gained the respect of everyone after we left. I guess no one here is actually my allies. Well, other than those who know me really well.
Though for him to have the same name as a werewolf, that’s unacceptable. I’ll call him Attention-seeker then. Because Jack is much more fun to be around with than this guy.
Well, both of them actually attention-seekers. Though Jack care more about strength and love to challenge anyone stronger than him and always accepted challenge from anyone who challenged him. He’s only trying to get everyone’s attention if it’s about a fight.
And since it’s important for a werewolf’s growth for them to get stronger, I don’t mind that.
But this guy is not doing this to get stronger. This attention-seeker is doing this out of hostility.
I heard that he would be surrounded by girls most of the time. So I wonder why he hates me.
But still, to think that everyone here doesn’t like me at all. That’s totally normal, I guess. I always hang out with two of the prettiest girls at school even though everyone always thought of me as weak.
But isn’t it way too much? They hate me for not doing anything now. I’m just eating in the corner though.
"You dare to show your face here and just eat food for free?!" Attention-seeker asked me in anger.
"Well, if I have to, I’ll pay. I do have the invitation as well. So it should be fine for me to be here," I said.
By the way, Kayla, Angela, and Wendy are just smiling looking at the situation. Knowing that there’s no one with any relation to the cult here, they must be thinking that I won’t go crazy and kill anyone. And they also know that there’s no one here that can harm me.
Jack seems to have gained quite a bit of reputation after the stampede. Even the principal recognized him. I guess he’s a bit famous in this area.

"...All you did was just eating and getting fat," he said as he gave up lifting me up.
Fat? Me? I guess he’s blind.
"Is it my waist? No, it’s all muscle though," I said as I look at myself.
"What did you do during the stampede? You were not there! And what did you do after the stampede? You left! You did nothing except for going to a brothel all the time and you came here with a carefree smile like that! Do you think you will be accepted just because you used to date Kayla?!" he asked.
"Actually, we’re still dating. And if you want to know, I’m also going out with Angela right now. And also the girl that you saw me kissing with in the Arena. And a few others," I said.
With this, everyone’s attention turned toward me. The noble children who was about to speak with Kayla and Angela now turn their head to me.
What a surprise, right? I who was seen as useless is going out with several women.
"Is this guy for real?"
Instead of asking me, he’s looking at Kayla and Angela instead. To which they replied with a nod and their brightest smile of the day.
"Oh, look at how pretty they are! I’m pretty lucky, aren’t I?" I said.
Instead of calming down, he became angrier. I guess he’s jealous that I got a harem of pretty girls.
"I’m disappointed. To think that both Angela and Kayla wanted to go out with someone like this. Aren’t there many other men out there who is much better than this guy?"
Again, this guy ignored me and asked Kayla and Angela instead.
"Nope. No one is better than him though," Kayla said.
"That’s right. He’s simply the best," Angela said.
Now everyone, especially the boys, looked at me with anger. They must be thinking that the girls like me because of my skill on the bed.
Well, I actually feel kind of proud if they do think that way. Though I can’t just say it.
"Sigh... You two are such a disappointment. To think that you two would go out with a guy like this," Attention-seeker said as he let me go. Then he continued speaking. Or is it making speeches?
"We are all lucky to be here right now. Because several years ago, we could have die from the stampede that happened in Melk. In fact, I’m sure that every single one person here lost someone important to them at that time. I also lost my parents. They could have been treated if there were more healers at the time. But they were all busy with too many patients and unable to treat my parents in time," he said.
"So, you want me to pity you because you lost your parents?" I asked.

I thought that it will just came down to conflict and I can punch him. But instead, he tried to get everyone to hate me with his speech.
I hate him so much right now. I should have killed him before the reunion.
"If you disappear, then Angela and Kayla can join our cause," he said.
"What’s your cause? To destroy the cult? Or is it to act as a hero in this small city? If it’s to play as a hero, whether I’m here or not, both Angela and Kayla are not the kind of people who want that kind of attention. I don’t think you have anything great at your cause," I said.
"It’s to destroy the cult!" he shouted in anger.
"THEN JUST JOIN THE FREAKING ARMY YOU LOSER!!" I shouted back louder and with a bit of intimidation infused in my words.
Just like that and some people here who are way too weak fell on their butt. They are scared of me.
"You hate the cult. Then what did you do? You’re just fighting in the Arena where killing is against the rule. You just want a safe place where you can act like you’re the boss. There are many ways for you to join the many battles that the kingdom has done against the cult. But where were you? Staying here acting as a hero. Not a hero. A celebrity! But no matter how great your reputation will be in this city, you will never be able to surpass Oleg. I’m sure you know that. Then why are you still fighting in the Arena to get reward from the lord of this city? In the end, you’re just a selfish prick. And now that you found me, you’re thinking of any way possible to look cool by picking on the person you thought as the worst. But that’s wrong. Because you’re the worst. Not me," I said.
