Being treated kindly feels weird. Especially by the people who never looked at me kindly. I don’t think I will return here.
I’m actually fine with people changes their attitude toward me. Since I can just kill them if they turn into someone I don’t like. But they’re all innocent civilians. So I can’t kill them recklessly.
If they had just keep treating me badly like usual, I would hate them like usual. But they suddenly changed their attitude toward me. They knew me before I was strong, and they recognized me without knowing if I’m strong or not. So it’s disturbing that I can’t just swing my sword around.
At least I want to threat them. But I can’t. Let’s just never return back here then.
I left the village and ride on Ray’s back for a while before taking out my phone. It’s quite far from any village or city so I can use my phone without a care.
"What a shame. In the letter, it just says something about his current location. Not about any secrets," Victoria said before I could call Albert.
"It’s just something to do to pass the time anyway. It’s not like doing this will make us know where the cult is," I said.
That’s right. I don’t really like doing this. But Albert is not only my brother, but also my best friend. And he wants to know more about our father. Is there something that the former king kept as secret? Other than me obviously.

I called Albert and he picked up the call right away.
"That was quick. I don’t even have to wait until you pick the call," I said.
"Well, this is something I’m curious about. Also, this is a way for me to skip work. There are many things I have to do, but if it’s this, then I can say to Miguel that I will leave," Albert said.
So he only wants to skip work, huh? That’s how difficult it is to be a king of a kingdom. Good thing I was born in a village and my real father’s identity was hidden. I don’t want to get involved in busy office works.
"Do your job properly. Maybe you should hire someone to be your aide. Lynn got Claudia. Fabio got Toni. And old man Henry is sharing his job with his potential heir as well. I don’t know about other countries, but I guess they’re the same. Only you do everything by yourself," I said.
"I also think so too. But it’s hard to find someone I can trust. I have some potential recruits, but they prefer to be in your clan instead. Like Candy, Wendy, and Sara. "No. I got a letter from him that was kept by his son, the current chief of the village. It says that the former Village Chief, the one we’re looking for, is in the capital. Why don’t you go and get some agents to find where he is? Then we can visit him together," I said.
"He’s in the capital? Well, I’ll get someone looking for him. What will you do now?" Albert asked.
"I don’t know. I guess I’ll wait until everyone is done with their business here. Then I will join the search," I said.
It’s the search of an old man. He was already old when I left the village. So he’s a bit older now. I just hope that he hasn’t died yet.
After hanging up the phone, I contacted Kayla to see if everyone has done with their business or not.
"He’s in the capital? Well, I guess it will take a while until he can be found. Unless you want to look for him yourself. Ah, Roy. Since Angela, Wendy, and I returned, and we reunited with some friends from school, they all said that they want to have a reunion with everyone who is at least in Cassau in a few days. Will you join us?" Kayla invited me to go to the reunion.
Kayla, Angela, and Wendy were all popular. I guess it’s the men who wanted to meet them. Though Kayla and Angela are both mine. And I can rest easy knowing how strong they are.
As for Wendy, she’s not mine. At least not yet. I know that she’s a bit closer to me now than back then. And she even knows that she’s my first crush. So we’re at a stalemate.
I don’t know if she will confess or not, but she should have known that I won’t make the first move since I have other girls. So I guess our relationship won’t change for now.
If I just confess, I’m sure that she will accept it. Including some other girls whose feelings are already obvious to me. But I already said that I won’t confess to anyone since I already have Kayla and the others.
...Damn. I wished to be popular in the past. And now that I’m popular, it’s actually quite troublesome. Not in a bad way though. After all, all those girls are pretty.
"Well, I don’t know when Albert will find the chief. I guess I’ll help looking for him. Does it mean that you won’t return now?" I asked.
"Yeah. We will stay here for a while. Candy and the others as well. If you’re done with your business, just go to Wendy’s hotel. The place where we stayed before during the stampede. I already placed a Blobby in my room. Just go there," Kayla said.
"Then I guess I’ll go to the capital and look for that old man. I don’t know if I’ll be in time for the reunion so don’t wait for me," I said.
What should I do in the reunion? I don’t have any friends there. Even the nodding guy is dead. So I don’t think anyone would even greet me.
Maybe some girls will greet me after seeing how handsome I am. Especially more if they know how rich I am. But I don’t think I know someone more beautiful than Kayla, Angela, and Wendy there.
I would probably end up sitting in the corner all by myself while Kayla, Angela, and Wendy were surrounded by the others.
What would they do if they know that I’m actually the leader of the clan they were in? If they want to join, then I will refuse.
I called Albert that I will go to the capital since my business here is over. Then I opened a portal to my mansion there and left on foot to search for the old man.
It’s good that I watched the illusion of my past. Because I can remember how he looks like. Though he should be older now.
He was already old back then. No wonder he retired from his position.
So, I need to look for the older version of him from the illusion. I don’t think he will look all that different though.
And I have the help of the agents here to look for him. So we should be able to find him soon.
Since this is related to the secret of the royalty, we made sure that it won’t go public. After all, even though everyone seem to be united with the goal to stop the cult, there must be some people who can still be considered as Albert’s political opponent here.
Not just Albert. The other kings as well.
This is why it’s best for me to not get involved at all in politic. Let’s just keep the fact that I’m the illegitimate son of the previous king to ourselves.
After looking for thirty minutes, I got a new information from an agent who knows me saying that there’s an old man who fits the bill staying in a hospital.
That’s normal considering his age, I guess. I hope we still have time before he died.
I looked from the outside of the hospital using my Divine Vision, and I found where he is. Lying sick on a hospital bed.
I guess it’s time to meet him.
I entered the hospital and got greeted by some doctors and nurses who recognized me. Although I mostly operate in the hospital in Cassau, I still occasionally go to another hospital.
"I’m going to meet the patient in the room 304. Don’t let anyone enter the room," I said to a doctor/agent that I recognized. Though he already done so before I entered the hospital.
Well, what can I get from this dying old man?
