The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 908: Forcing the Dying Old Man Alive

Chapter 908: Forcing the Dying Old Man Alive

All the people in this floor in the hospital are all gone. Except for the patients and some doctors who are also agents working for Albert.

So, after I reached the floor, I opened a portal to get Albert here.

"Did you find out where he is?" Albert asked as he entered the portal. Mustache also tried to enter, but Albert said that it’s fine since I will protect him.

"He’s here in this hospital. The agents haven’t told you?" I asked.

"I told them to tell you instead because you will get there sooner. Then you can pick me up like this," he said.

From what the agent told me, the former Village Chief was already at the hospital two weeks ago. Probably around the time that I climbed the mountain.

His house is in the residential district. Living with his other son who moved out of the village and worked as a guard in the capital.

He’s just a guard, so he doesn’t know much about us. And he’s still weak since we never taught him magic control or other things. But the agent said that several agents have recommended him to join the army even though he’s already in his 50s.

I guess he’s actually talented in magic. That’s why the others want to teach him magic control so he can become stronger.

Well, even old man Henry is older than this guy. In fact, old man Henry should be older than the former Village Chief. He just had talent in magic so increasing his level can be quite fast and able to live longer life. And the former Village Chief is just an ordinary mage.

The former Village Chief is in his room with his son, the city guard. I told the agents that if that guard can be trusted, he’s allowed to stay to hear. And they said that it’s fine to do so because he’s close to joining the army already.

"Is it this room?" Albert asked me.

"Yes. He’s here with his son, the guard of the capital. The agents said that he’s safe. But just in case, see whether any of them say any lies or not," I said.

"In the end, I’m just a lie detector for you. Respect your brother a bit, won’t you?" Albert asked.

"I’m sorry that you have a weird younger brother. Don’t expect anything good from him except for being strong," I said.

"I guess you’re right. You go in first and I will wait until the right time to make an entrance," he said.

Why is he need to make an entrance? Waiting for me to say that I’m here with someone to surprise a dying old man?

"He’s dying, dude! Do you want him to be shocked to death? You might be the King of this kingdom, but I’m the doctor and this is a hospital. So I have the power here. We go in together. Though he might be surprised in the end," I said.

After all, the former Village Chief shouldn’t be expecting that I would meet him when he’s at the end of his life.

I have checked his condition by asking for his medical history to a doctor here, and also using my own Divine Vision. He’s dying. Not because any illnesses. Just because he’s old. He’s dying a natural death. I can’t heal him even with my medical knowledge from the future.

I lightly knocked on the door and wait for the answer. His son then stand up from the chair next to the bed and moved to the door to open it.

"Who is it?" he asked as he looked at us.

Instead of replying him, I looked at Albert.

"He doesn’t know you?" I asked.

"He’s just a guard. So it’s hard for us to meet. Probably in one of the parade we done. But since he’s a guard, he could be busy at the time," Albert said.

The man just confused hearing our conversation. Because we expect him to recognize Albert at least.

"I’m the King of Tatrama Kingdom, Albert. I have business with your father. Let us enter," Albert said.

Hearing that Albert is the king, the man instantly knelt down. That’s a quick reflex from an old guard.

They said that he’s about to join the army. But he’s old. Though he’s pretty healthy. I guess if he can reach expert level, we don’t need to worry about his health.

"Excuse my rudeness, Your Majesty!" the man said.

"It’s okay. And you don’t need to kneel anymore. So, can I enter?" Albert asked.

"Please do!" the man stood up and politely let us enter the room.

The former Village Chief is lying on the bed sleeping. He didn’t even wake up even though his son was shouting.

"Did you inform his condition to your brother? The one who inherited the Village Chief position?" I asked.

"Yes. But it should arrive soon. And you are?" he asked.

"You will know soon enough," I said.

So the current Village Chief didn’t know that his father is dying. I guess that’s normal. After all, the normal way to send a message from the capital to a village quite far from here should take days or even weeks to arrive.

"Roy, wake him up," Albert said.

I raised my hand high so I can hit the dormer Village Chief to wake him up.

"Gently! Wake him up gently!" Albert shouted.

"Ugh..."

Thanks to Albert shouting so close to the bed, the former Village Chief is awake.

"Uh... you... You are Roy, right? It’s been a while," the former Village Chief said.

"You recognize me right away? That’s good. We have business with you," I said.

The former Village Chief then tried to raise his upper body. It took a lot of effort for him to do so.

I am not patient enough for this. And we don’t even know if he will die or not. So I made a slight cut on his upper arm with a small knife.

"Ouch!"

"Hey! What are you doing?!" his son was shouting. But Albert stopped him from attacking me.

"Victoria, please," I said to Victoria.

"I don’t like it, but I guess this is the best choice we have since he’s in that condition," Victoria said.

She created clones of herself in my palm. Then I pressed my palm on the former Village Chief’s wound.

That’s right. What I did was putting the clones of the Black Slime into the body of the dying old man.

The old man felt something was moving in his body. But I told him that it’s fine and to not resist.

"That’s the clones of a Black Slime. If they cover your body organs, you won’t die, you won’t get tired, and you won’t feel hungry or thirsty. You’re dying, and we have questions to ask you. So we need you to stay alive for a bit longer," I said.

"...You’ve become quite a man after you left the village," he said.

"Whatever. So, why were you waiting for me after I left the village?" I asked him directly.

As for the other people here, Albert and the former Village Chief’s son, they just stood there in silence. Albert was just waiting for the former Village Chief to respond. While the former Village Chief’s son was extremely confused.

Confused he might be, he didn’t forget to stay respectful to the king he served. So he offered Albert to take a seat on the only chair in the room. So right now, only he and I are standing as Albert took a seat.

"I was waiting for you because I have something important to tell you. But I want to do it in private. So, can my son and your friend leave the room first?" the former Village Chief asked.

"Father! He is—"

Before his son can say anything, I gave the answer.

"No need. The Black Slime’s clone is far too important to make a dying old man continue living. So I will take them away from you after we’re done. Which mean that you will return to your dying condition. Let’s say that this is your last words. And you can have your son witness it. It’s fine because I heard that your son is doing his job well and many people are praising him here," I said.

"Oh, you seem to know a lot after you left the village. You experienced a lot, huh? What about your friend over there?" the old man asked.

"He’s my half-brother. This should be one of the thing that you want to tell me about. You know what I mean, right?"

The old man was shocked to hear that. It took a while for him to react after sorting out his mind.

"This old man pay his respect to His Majesty the King," the old man said.

He’s smart. I guess making the Blobbies enter his body and even covered his brain made his thinking speed faster than before. Well, right now, he’s as healthy as a young man.

If I didn’t get those Blobbies enter his body, then it will be hard for me to talk with him.

I have experience with talking to old and dying people. And Albert and the others have watched it. And it’s difficult to get my words through their old brains.

Meanwhile, his son was shocked to hear that the King has a brother. It’s well-known that Albert only has a sister.

Well, it’s time to interrogate the dying old man whom we forcefully kept alive. I guess we’re just that cruel.
