Chapter 1161: The Last Four Quests

"I think the centaurs can do this one," Red said.

So there are centaurs entering the portal and I opened another portal to their destination. What an easy exam.

"I hope you keep your promise about not messing with me and my clan. Because as you can see right now, I have much more power than you," I said to the people from the guild.

They can’t do anything other than just to watch and see how fast I am at clearing the task.

"There are missions where you need to meet a certain noble in Varadis, Arturo, Consenza, and Tatrama. So for Varadis, that would be Julia. Arturo is Carmen’s job. Consenza will obviously be Celestine’s and Tatrama’s side will be Shirley. I think you guys can do it rather easily," Red said.

So the Princesses and the former Queen left. They are obeying the order of a werewolf under me. That should be more than enough to show these people from the guild about my strength.

In less than an hour, everyone got their job. At least all the human members of my clan. Not the monsters. And I haven’t even showed them the vampires yet.

Then after another hour, everyone has finished with their jobs. Some were even took a few quests. And now, there are still quests to be taken. Only four of them left.

"There are still quests?" I asked Red.

"Yes. These are the quests that can’t be finished in a day. At least I think so. These quests will be for you, my King. You can take anyone you want to come with you as well," Red said.

"Alright. You can go back now," I said.

Red then returns to the Monsters Kingdom and I finally closed all the portals. It took a lot for me to maintain all those portals but I did it. I still have some mana left to return these people from the guild back to where they were from.

"Phew, that was a bit tiring. So, there are only four more quests. Must be nice for you that I finally got rid of most of the troublesome quests that you even had a box for them. So, there won’t be any more messing with me, right?" I asked the people of the guild.

"...We have never tried to mess with you," the Big Boss said.

"You were messing with me. Because if you’re not, then I would be an S-rank already," I said.

"...Alright. I apologize for everything. I admit that we were wrong to test you. But you still have 4 more quests ahead of you," the Big Boss of the guild said.

"You think I can do these 4 quests? Let me see..."

I grabbed the 4 remaining quests and read them one by one. I have read them with my Divine Vision before but I just want to confirm them.

"Investigating an ancient sinking kingdom? I guess Red didn’t send the Crab People for this job because they are not smart enough to investigate anything. But an ancient kingdom that sunk into the sea? Interesting," I said.

I gave the paper with that quest to Kayla who is interested. By the way, it’s not as crowded as before since the Princesses have left and only a few people left here from my clan.

An underwater kingdom. That is interesting. Maybe one of the reasons why we can’t find the cult is because they are underwater.

Maybe it’s like the dungeon where I found Crabbe and his people before. The dungeon underwater but there’s air in it so everyone can breathe under there.

It’s located in south of Tatrama. I’ll check that later.

"Then there’s a... buried kingdom. Now it’s underground," I said as I checked the second quest. This time, it’s in Consenza. In the desert but according to the quest, it’s in an area where it’s hard for people to travel. So it’s even farther than the desert city where the Fake Emperor was exiled to.

Again, this time an underground kingdom. Maybe the cult could be underground instead. But I don’t think that’s the case. Because if that’s the case, then back then when Timmy scanned the entire continent, he should have found it.

...Well, I can’t really believe in what Timmy said, can I? He’s someone addicted to fighting. Maybe he said that so he can make me focus more on our fight rather than on any other thing.

"The third quest is to check a volcano in Varadis. I guess the monsters I have can’t handle heat well so Red didn’t send them. I think I should go there with a fire mage," I said.

I think this one might be the easiest job compared to the other three that Red left behind for me. Though all four of them all about investigation. Well, this kind of mission is what the monsters can’t really do after all.

"The last one is in Arturo. Seriously? All four big countries? Well, that’s fine. There’s an underwater mission, an underground mission, a volcano mission, and what is the last one? Another floating island? Well, this one might be easy as well," I said.

Red didn’t send another group of angels or dragons for this mission. My guess is that this might be harder than the missions about floating island from before where the angels only need to get rid of the monsters. And apparently, the size of this floating island is bigger than any other floating island. And although it says that the location is in Arturo, it’s actually way west of Arturo. Floating above the ocean. So maybe Red thought that it’s dangerous to send monsters to a place like that.

"Alright, I’ll take you back home now. As for these quests, I’ll take care of them all as soon as possible. Then I will return here and get my promotion. When that happens, I only need you to be here and don’t have to bring the others, right?" I asked the Big Boss.

"...Yes. You only need to report it to me," he said.

"One more thing. The missions are all about investigation. So there’s a chance that even if you said the truth, he won’t believe it," Kayla said.

"So what? I can just bring him to those places later after I finish those quests. Then he will know if I speak the truth or not. Is that okay?" I asked the Big Boss.

I guess he’s afraid to go underground, underwater, or to the volcano. He doesn’t seem to be strong after all.

"Alright. Then, I’ll be going... tomorrow," I said.

Then I returned back the other people from the guild and return to Cassau.

"You did it nicely, Roy," Kayla said as we returned.

"It could be better. But this is fine," I said.

I’m the only one who has to do the test to be S-rank. They pissed me off. But after today, I doubt they will dare to do anything else to me.

"So, where will you go first?" Kayla asked.

"I’ll go underwater first. This might be the most troublesome one among the quests. For the other three, I will need help from someone. Probably Wendy, Candy, or Sara. But they can’t breathe underwater so I will go alone. And if I feel that it’s safe to bring someone underwater, then I will probably bring Sara," I said.

She’s an air mage after all. She can breathe underwater just fine. It’s what air magic is known for before I introduced how to fight as an air mage to everyone.

"Still, there must be a reason why just for investigation, they put these quests in the box. There might be something dangerous there," Kayla warned me.

"I expected that as well. I’ll be careful. I doubt there will be anything stronger than Spot underwater," I said.

And we can’t bring Spot since he’s still training to be a Kaiser monster under the Kaiser Whale’s guidance. He and his children. So they must be bust and can’t help.

Once they’re done, they’re supposed to contact me or return to the Monsters Kingdom on their own. I just need to wait and believe in them.

"At least bring Crabbe with you underwater first. You can take Sara later when you’re in the underwater kingdom. With Crabbe, it will be easier for you to rely on him since he’s reliable underwater. That’s why you picked him as your familiar, right?" Kayla said.

"Right. Then I guess I’ll bring Crabbe tomorrow. For today, I’ll take a break. Still, the guild was still annoying. They think that it’s a good chance to get rid of those difficult missions and use them for my promotion exam. But it’s good. Because if they didn’t, they probably will never know how powerful I am," I said.

Because they decided what the exam is, now they have no choice but to bow before my strength. And they need to rely on my clan next time they have another difficult mission. And I can exploit them however I want.
