Chapter 1150: Georgia’s Memory

It’s annoying. I have to be a hunter here for at least three more days. It’s good that there are missions for me to handle. But the waiting line will be annoying.

Then it’s decided. I will finish the quests as soon as possible before the busy hour arrives. Then it would be fine.

Just as I thought of that, Fabio is calling me. So I picked up the call.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"Well, it has been a few days after the wedding. And everything has calmed down a bit. Other than on your side where everyone is trying to curry favor with you. Anyway, I’m telling you that Maya is ready to go to Monsters World to ask Georgia more about her past. We already knew where she was taken. And we got rid of it. But maybe she still has some other secret to tell. Even if she doesn’t have anything else to say, it’s still a good idea to trigger her memory by revealing her wings," Fabio said.

Ah, finally something that is not related with hunters. I hate dealing with them.

"I’ll ask the others if they can come today," I said.

So I called Albert and the others to see if they are available for something that may or may not be important at all. Though for Graham, it is important.

And if it’s for my familiar, I will do my best to help.

Everyone is available so I brought them all to Monsters World. And we arrived in my kingdom. Which is still look like a village.

"I should ask Kayla to build a castle. If it’s Angela, she will do it without question. But her design might be questionable. Should I ask Celestine to do it? She’s a princess so she knows a lot about castle. She should be," I asked myself.

"What are you talking about?"

Albert heard me whispering something to myself. So I just told him about it since it’s not a secret anyway.

"You rarely stay here anyway. What do you need a castle for? It will just be for show. No one here think that you’re not the King of the monsters. Whether you have a castle or not, it’s not important to us," Albert said.

"You just said that because you want to be closer to the pandas, right? More like, why are the Kings, Queens, Prince, and Princess of many countries having a discussion in the panda zoo?"

That’s right. The place we’re in now is the location where we gather all the pandas and put them in a cage so they won’t run away anymore.

"I don’t mind. I like it anyway."

The one who said that was the small pink panda right in front of me. And that pink panda extended his arms toward me. So I naturally picked him up and hugged him.

Why are these pandas so huggable?

And this is good for therapy anyway. That’s what Victoria said while she transformed into a huge version of herself to be able to hug as many pandas as possible.

Then from above, from the biggest floating island, or the one we call as the Sanctuary for the angels, all the angels descended.

"Is this how apocalypse feels like?" Victoria asked.

Dozens of angels descending from the sky. Maybe it feels like that indeed.

Leading them all is Graham and Georgia. The main character for today.

"Are we doing it now?" Graham asked.

"Yes. How is Georgia now? Can we have a conversation with her?" I asked.

It has been a while since Maya reached advanced level. And it was a very fast improvement. Reaching advanced level from beginner level in just a few months.

Since it has been a while, I thought that maybe Georgia’s mind would have recovered albeit only slightly. But it should be better than before. So let’s see how much she has recovered.

"It feels like she has slowly remembered me. She knows who I am. But she doesn’t know other angels even though some of them were close to her. But she has the reaction of a young angel when we’re trying to communicate with her," Graham said.

So it’s like she regressed back to a little kid. That’s better than before when she doesn’t recognize herself.

Once everyone is somewhat healed from the pandas, they gathered here. Though we’re still with the pandas. Even the Pink Panda is on top of my head right now.

"Maya, please," Fabio said.

"Alright. Georgia, reveal all your twelve wings," Maya said.

And then, the archangel before me revealed all her wings. Unlike before, Georgia doesn’t seem to be in pain from using her power. In fact, when I’m using Divine Vision, it’s as if her true form is healing her body.

She still has her body modified. But her organs and blood pressure are all healthier than before. That’s my sight as a doctor. Though I only compared them with a healthy angel. I’m still a doctor for human. I don’t know much about the anatomy of other races and species.

Georgia opened her eyes as all her wings are revealed. But it seems like she’s still in a bit of pain.

From how it seems, revealing all her wings actually recovered her mind a bit. I don’t know about her modified body. But when she’s revealing her wings, it somewhat undo the... whatever is happening in her mind. That’s why she was always in pain before whenever she’s revealing her wings.

Now, it seems like she can endure it a bit. At least it would be one more level for Maya to increase so that we can have a proper conversation with Georgia without having her revealing her wings.

Maybe once Maya reached expert level, Georgia will be completely cured. That would be great.

"Graham and the other angels, keep using healing magic on Georgia’s mind. Maybe it will help her last a little longer in this form," I said to the angels.

And now, Georgia able to talk.

"Hello, Graham. Graham’s Master. My master. And everyone else. Thank you for recovering my memory so far," Georgia said.

That’s the first thing she said? I guess we can take our time then.

"Take your time chatting with Graham and the others first if you want. You remember what information we want from you, right? We can talk later," Fabio said.

"No need, Master’s husband. I’ll talk now. Because I don’t know much about them and I don’t know if the information I have is good or not. I can somewhat feel that I can maintain my memory for about an hour every day. I can talk with the others as much as I want next time. The most important things come first," Georgia said.

"Alright. Then let’s talk," Fabio said.

So Georgia started talking about her experience as much as possible within one hour. Though she spent only less than thirty minutes because she went to the main points right away.

Well, even if we can’t learn more now, we can learn more later. She has an hour every day where she can maintain her memory and personality.

...Wait, it’s just like Victoria when we first met in this lifetime.

Back when I just summoned her for the first time as a beginner level summoner. I was shocked when Blobby could speak. Then I learned that it was Victoria and she could only spend an hour every day at that time. An hour where I can ask her about anything.

So Georgia is similar with Victoria at that. And once Maya reaches expert level or even master level, she doesn’t have to reveal her wings anymore to do that. At least that’s what I hope.

Georgia told everyone about what happened after she was separated from Graham. How she got caught and where she was brought. She tried to remember everything but everything was not clear since she was not in the right mind because of the experiment she went through.

At least we learned some things. Like how it’s most likely a place in Varadis where she was in this world. Not just the place where she was experimented on. But also where she was brought even if it’s just momentarily.

"Alright. Thank you for your information, Georgia. We will start the investigation," old man Henry said. Since it’s mostly in Varadis, he will be in charge.

After that, Georgia is talking with Graham and the others. Maya is her master and she’s curious about her so she’s with them. While the rest of us are talking. Well, not me. I’m just hearing.

"We found another clue. It seems like the cult is more likely to have a main base on Earth in Varadis. But it’s not confirmed yet. At least we know that they have a big one in Varadis," old man Henry said.

"Right. King Henry, if you don’t have enough investigators, we will give you some," one of the kings from smaller country said.

"Thanks. But I’ll do it with my own people first. Everyone should protect their own country before asking for help," old man Henry said.

Well, that’s true.

Now that we have done talking with Georgia, it’s time to... cuddle with the pandas. I want to stay here for the rest of the day before I go back to that city and be a hunter again.
