The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 1149: A Normal Day as a Hunter

Chapter 1149: A Normal Day as a Hunter

All the missions I took were about subjugating monsters in the desert. So I move around in the desert looking for my targets.

Weak. They are so weak. Even the previous dragons were much stronger than them. But there’s no hunter who are strong enough to handle them except for the members of my clan.

Should we spread our knowledge and make it easier for people to reach master level? We should at least prepare some events where hunters and even ordinary people can join. Some events with magic stones as the reward. A lot of magic stones.

Well, if it’s too much, then the winner of the event will be targeted by many people. We just can’t really rely on hunters to be kind, huh.

Well, even if there are people like that, we can then hunt them down and make the city peaceful. We will get rid of those annoying hunters without any manner.

Once all hunters without manner have died, we can start rely on the hunters even more.

I’ll relay this idea to Albert or someone later. They will figure out what to do. As I have near limitless amount of magic stones.

In the Spirit Mountain, there are a lot of magic stones. Even healing element magic stones. If I sell them all, it will lower the market price. I’ll just use them as the reward for some events then. I’ll suggest that.

In the Spirit Mountain, even after I took some, when I came back to the Spirit Mountain, there will be more magic stones. There are just too many elemental spirits there making magic stones.

Well, that’s a plan. Maybe for the event, it will be hunting or something. And someone from my clan can be the judge so the hunters will be more motivated.

Well, Albert and the others can think up of a plan then. I’ll just do my own thing as usual.

And so, I defeated more than two hundred monsters in three hours. The sky has turned dark. And I skipped lunch. I should go back to the guild before it closes for the night.

I put all the proofs of subjugation on my bag and carried them. And in ten minutes, Ray brought me back to the guild.

We landed in front of the guild. Then I unsummoned him because I won’t do anything else for the day. I’m not tired. It’s just that other people are too tired.

"I’m back," I said to the receptionist girl. She has a shocked expression on her face.

There are more people here now than before. I guess it’s about time for everyone to finish their job.

Everyone is busy. There are five receptionists helping the hunters in the counter but there are too many hunters. Each receptionist has long queue.

I’m not in a hurry. If I just go there, it will only cause trouble to the other hunters. And it might end up making them unable to trust my clan. So I pick the line to where the shocked receptionist girl is working and wait there.

The wait is long not only because of so many hunters. Because for the male hunters, they are trying to boast about their job today to the pretty receptionist girls.

Each receptionist has a lot of people waiting in line for them. Not because the line in front of them are the shortest or something. But because each hunters here have their own preferred receptionist.

I should have return earlier. At this time is the busiest moment. It’s annoying. But I’ll just wait patiently.

’It’s like a fan meeting with an idol group,’ Victoria said via telepathy.

Apparently, there are a lot of people called idols in her original world. And once in a while, they would let their fans meet them and have something called a handshake event.

People actually lining up to shake their hand with their idol? Then those idols must be really special.

I can spend my time chatting with Victoria via telepathy while waiting. Asking her about some stuffs from her world that she’s planning to create in this world. She said that this might give her idea on how to make herself stronger.

And now there are only five more people in front of me. They are from two different parties. So I only need to wait for two more turns until my turn arrives.

And as I waited, someone suddenly barged into the guild. Three men acting proudly entered the guild and skipped the line as they tried to get to be the first in line without caring about anyone else.

"Angelina! It has been a few hours since we last met! I miss you! Move aside!"

The one who is the leader of that party pushes everyone aside as he walks to the receptionist girl I’m lining up for.

Seriously? There are four other receptionists but he’s aiming for the one I’m lining up for?

And the others seem to be afraid of him. He must be some sort of the local boss of the area.

He pushed everyone aside but when it comes to my turn, he tried to shove me away. But he ended up falling as he doesn’t have any strength to push me.

"Sigh... line up from the back. You’re bothering everyone here," I said.

He looks angry as he looks up at me from the floor. Then he stood up and grabbed my collar trying to threaten me.

"Who do you think you are?! You dare challenging me in this town?!"

"I don’t care who you are. It’s basic manner to not skip the line," I said ignoring his threat.

Now I remember again why I hate to be a hunter. It’s because I have to meet people like him.

"Don’t think that I’m not afraid to kill you in this city!" he said as he prepared to cast magic at me.

Is this city never been attacked by the cult? Is that why they don’t know a real danger and never witnessed a war?

It’s a pain. Let’s put him to place.

"And you don’t know who I am?"

I said that while releasing pressure to intimidate him. I didn’t even need to use Aura. It’s the killing intent I have simply after killing so many people.

Just like that and he became afraid of me. He released me and fell on the ground. Along with some other people in the guild. Well, there are also some people outside the guild who fell on their butt after I release my pressure.

"I’ll introduce myself then. My name is Roy. A master level summoner and also the leader of Wolf’s Crown’s clan. So, who the fuck are you to threaten me?" I asked the man on the floor.

He’s so scared that he can’t speak. He even pissed himself.

"So, who are you to threaten me?" I asked the man again.

"I-I am... I am..."

"Pathetic. Get in the back of the line. And don’t forget to mop the floor," I said as I stopped releasing my pressure.

Everyone is now relieved after being able to breathe again. I didn’t use air magic though. It’s just the fear that got into their head.

"I don’t care if you’re taking too long trying to flirt with the receptionist. I’m still going to wait in line for my turn. Just go back to your work," I said to everyone.

Slowly, everyone is back to work again. But the people in front of me don’t dare to take too long.

The man I intimidated tried to escape. What an idiot.

"Hey! I said to mop the floor!" I shouted.

He then stopped and asked for a mop and cleaned the floor while his pant is still wet. His party members didn’t even bother to help. They are too afraid.

’Man, that is pathetic,’ Victoria said via telepathy.

’How about you? You took more quests as hunter than me when moving on your own. There must be people causing trouble, right?’ I asked Victoria.

’With how pretty my human form is, of course there are many people who tried to flirt with me. But when I used deep voice and pretend to be a man, they stopped flirting with me. Though it doesn’t work in Mellian,’ Victoria said.

Ah, Mellian. I think that place is heaven for Victoria.

The intimidated man cleaned the floor and leaves the guild after telling his party members to finish taking care of their business here.

And soon after, it’s finally my turn.

"...How can I help you?" the receptionist asked.

"I finished everything," I said as I put down the bag there.

I put everything on the counter for everyone to see. And they contain a lot of subjugation proofs from monsters that the people here can’t defeat.

Everyone is shocked and stopped working. Except for the receptionist guild because she saw my capability this morning. She just sighed.

Now it took a long time because she has to confirm all the quests I took. And a few minutes later, she has finished confirmed it.

"Alright. That’s eleven quests finished. Thank you for your hard work," she said as she gave me the reward and put it in my hunter card.

...With how rich I am, it doesn’t change much. I’m just doing this for reputation. Not for money.

"Oh, and about your promotion to S-rank hunter, the guild master said that it can be done sooner than expected. So in three days, you can come here and change your hunter card," the receptionist said.

"Okay. I’ll do that," I said.

There are still some missions I can take here. Three days are not long. I can stay and maybe enjoy my time in the city.
