Chapter 1131: Searching for Wedding Gifts

"Do you think everyone won’t be dissatisfied anymore after yesterday’s meeting?"

Victoria asked me that question. Today is the day after I resolved the internal issues in the alliance. Well, it’s not that I was the one who resolved it. It just started because of me.

"Impossible, right? There must be some other things they are not satisfied with. Most likely, it’s related to me. But it’s not my problem anymore," I said.

"Okay. Then, what are we doing here in Monsters World? Fabio’s wedding is in a few weeks. Don’t you need to prepare for that?" Victoria asked.

"You think that I’m someone who is needed to prepare for a wedding party? That’s not the case, right? And also, I’m just a commoner. There’s no way I will be invited to the party. I’ll just search for a monster that will be good for Maya to make a contract with. Her third familiar. That will be my gift for their wedding," I said.

"I see. But I think you don’t know it or you just don’t remember it. They said that they will arrange another party solely for us from the alliance. The other kings will be invited to the formal party. But for this one, it should be for everyone. Including the soldiers," Victoria said.

Another party for everyone? That’s nice. Then I can join as well.

"So, you have any monster you want to get for Maya?" Victoria asked.

"The top list would be a slime. They are small and they can change into any form their master want. I think Fabio can have one inside his pocket all the time," I said.

"...But I have never seen any slime in this world other than me," Victoria said.

"True. Well, let’s just look around. It’s also a good time to train my senses as well," I said.

"It will be hard to find one without your Divine Vision. But well, it’s not like we have to be the one looking for monster for Maya after all," Victoria said.

"That is true. She summoned Georgia and told her to still fight monsters and look for any small monster she can find. Maybe she will be the one finding it before us," I said.

Now that Maya has reached the next level in her summoning element, Georgia should be able to reveal more of her wings. And maybe her memory will return once her wings revealed. But we didn’t do that yet. We are focusing on Fabio and Maya’s wedding at the moment. We will ask Georgia more about her past later.

Though we have found where she was experimented on. So I don’t think we will get more information from her. But if she can think on her own, that will be good.

Lately, Georgia seems to show more expression than before. That’s the proof that she has slightly recovered.

Maybe by the time Maya reached expert level in her summoning element, Georgia’s mind will recover completely. That will be something worth looking forward to.

Georgia can now tell who Graham is. She’s aware that he’s her brother even when she’s not revealing her wings. So Graham is really happy lately because of it.

"Well, if we can find other small monster that is stronger than a slime, I think we should pick them instead. But if the slime can create clones, then we should pick the slime," I said.

"But I don’t think there’s any other slime that can create clones of themselves like I can. Maybe if they use magic like Graham, there are more monsters who can create clones. But that will be extremely rare," Victoria said.

"Once again, I’m glad that you’re my familiar."

Not just for convenience with using her as a weapon. Her knowledge from her past lives as an Aura user and as a person from another world are helpful for us. She’s truly one of a kind.

"Hmm... it’s weird but there’s no monster here at all," Victoria said.

"...Do you want to find a monster or not?" Victoria asked.

Maya’s first familiar is Georgia. A powerful Archangel. She can fight and heal.

But Georgia’s second familiar is just something she picked for the cuteness. A panda. A creature that I don’t know what their other purpose for existence other than just for being cute. What the hell?

So if possible, I want her third familiar to be something that can fight. In case Maya couldn’t open a portal for Fabio to move in time, her familiar can fight. Though Fabio himself is already a master level fire mage. I don’t think there’s a need for a monster that can protect him.

It’s just that I didn’t really think of the next monster as someone who can protect Fabio. But instead, it will protect Maya. Because we don’t know if somehow she can’t summon Georgia for some reason.

The panda is strong. They have powerful claws. But they are not a great fighter. So I want the next one to be able to fight.

She’s my disciple after all. So I want her to be safe. And I don’t want to just wait until she reaches expert level to get another familiar.

I wonder if she’s training her air magic well. She should still be continuing her training, right? It’s not like her summoning element will guarantee her to reach master level.

Then I heard the sound of the grass rustling. Something is close. It’s coming from behind me.

Using my enhanced senses, I tried using them to search for the target.

I can’t see it so it should be hidden. I can hear it. It’s behind the rock over there. For smell, I’m still not good enough to smell things from this far. For sense of touch and taste, I don’t think they are great to search for enemies.

If I enhance my skin sensitivity, then I will end up reacting to everything. I should just rely on my fighting skill and experience to react even from an attack from my blind spot. That will be more helpful than enhancing my sensitivity.

I look behind the rock and see a small mouse-like creature baring its fangs at me. I don’t think anyone will think nice of a King with a mouse hidden in his pocket. So this one is a no.

I kicked the mouse away. That one is not good at all.

"Why do small monsters not run away with my pressure?"

"I heard that the stupider an animal is the less likely for them to escape from danger. I don’t think it’s a good idea if you want to look for a monster for Maya by doing this. But well, this is a training for you. So you can just do whatever you want," Victoria said.

I guess that’s true. Well, searching for your familiar is also mostly related to luck after all.

My first familiar, I used the normal way that is known to the world. Just random summoning. And I got Victoria.

The second one, I got some clue from the Black Slime’s original consciousness of the whereabouts of the werewolves.

The third one, Andro helped me by pointing at where the sanctuary he blew away with the flap of his wing went to.

The fourth one was a total luck again. I used the same way I summoned Victoria while in the middle of a fight against an Aura Master and a mage beyond master level.

The fifth one, I dived into the sea and entered a dungeon where I found a lot of Crab People.

Maybe Maya can just summon her next familiar if she doesn’t want to look for one. If she has good luck, then she can get a great monster. But it’s not completely a reliable method. So as her master, I will look for a monster for her.

It’s just a small monster. I can just turn some Blobbies into a small cage and put the monster in there. Then Maya can decide which one she wants to make a contract with.

"For today, let’s look for monster in this forest. Tomorrow, let’s find one in a different terrain," I said.

"You want to look for one in the sea?" Victoria asked jokingly.

"Yes. Let’s find one and throw a raw fish at Fabio telling him that it’s Maya’s familiar. As if! Do you want Fabio to carry an aquarium wherever he goes?!" I shouted.

"You’re right. That won’t look good," Victoria said.

"But that will be funny as hell! Let’s find from the sea as well!"
