Chapter 1130: Resolving Internal Issues

The day after I brought Spot and his children to the Kaiser Whale, I am in a meeting with the Kings. Even though some of them were the ones who refused to go yesterday.

"So, as I wrote in the forum, Spot and his children won’t be available for a while. They are training under the Kaiser Whale. And it’s possible that they, or at least just one of them, will be Kaiser Serpents in the future," I said.

"How?!"

"Just what happened?!"

"Next time you go you, bring a camera with you so we can watch everything you do."

Seriously? Those are the words coming out of some Kings whom I’m not very close with. Kings from smaller kingdoms.

What makes them so arrogant? Is it because we managed to stop all the cult’s attacks so far? But that’s all on me though.

’Albert said that they became arrogant because the citizens of their kingdoms feel safer with them reigning as their kings. It’s bad. They truly think that everything that has happened was because of them. When they did not do much other than just attending the meeting and do some trading with other countries,’ Victoria said via telepathy as her body is with Albert.

Seriously? Then these guys think that I’m someone under them and I have to do anything they told me to do.

"Enough all of you! After everything that has happened, you’re blaming Roy even though he returned with good news," old man Henry seems to be unable to hold back anymore as he got angry at those Kings.

After everything we went through, these Kings who thought that the prosperity of their kingdoms was caused by their own efforts alone started to act tough. It’s as if they’re the greatest existence. Their arrogance as Kings who rule over their people is acting up.

Maybe I should have never said something like I’m not a royalty and prefer to be just a commoner. Did they forget all the battles they went through so far? Or do they think that they are strong enough now with master level mages as their soldiers?

"But he’s doing things for his own personal reason! And he’s free to do that?"

Is that what it is? They feel that they are being restricted because of how much freedom I have?

Well, it doesn’t matter to me. It’s not that important.

"If you’re dissatisfied with me, that’s fine. You can leave the alliance. Since you have seen all my memories, I thought that you would have understood me better. But I guess I was wrong. But well, I’ll tell you again this time."

Then I took a deep breath before giving a speech to the Kings who forgot who I am.

"You can use me for your political agenda. But I will whatever I want and need to do. And my goal is always to destroy the cult. If you are here only to be my obstacle in doing so, then I will either have to leave or I will destroy you and your kingdom. Do not forget that even with how many master level mages you have now, it’s all thanks to me. And they won’t be enough to kill me. So my suggestion is for you to not cause any trouble with me. It’s fine if you don’t like what I do. I’m not doing them for you anyway. I do them for myself. So, is there anyone else who is not satisfied with me doing whatever I want?"

I also put a bit of pressure when I said that. So those kings who are mostly lower level mages can’t take it. Even their guards that they brought here had to stand in front of their kings so they can protect them.

No one is saying anything. Because they finally realized that I’m here to use them. They are here for me. Not I am here for them.

"Since we started talking about it, let’s continue with it. Is there anything else you are not satisfied with in this alliance? Anything that is not about me. Because I’m not here for you. It’s best for you to resolve all internal matter in the alliance as soon as possible," I said.

It’s a good time anyway. The cult’s movement will be stronger than before. So we have to be united against them.

"Umm... what about Angela?" someone asked.

"What about what? If you’re thinking if she’s going to fight the cult, then yes she is. But she’s not fighting for any kingdom. She’s fighting for herself. And since she’s my girl, if you do anything to her, you are my enemy. Not just her. Everyone who is not your soldier or agent is mostly fighting because of me. So don’t even try to use them. Be satisfied with the master level mages that you have," I said.

Have they finally realized that they can’t use me however they want? That’s good.

And so, someone finally said something important that is not related to me. About their relation with other kingdoms here that for some reason had obstacles there and there.

Since it’s not a matter of importance to me, I didn’t really hear them talking. But it seems like they have a lot of problems in the alliance.

From a kingdom to the alliance or a kingdom to another kingdom. Even Albert and Lynn is discussing about something important. Not just the small kingdoms.

Did they never really put much thought about resolving internal issues so far? Or do they think that it’s just an alliance until the cult is destroyed. Once the cult is gone, the alliance will not be there anymore.

Well, those are not important to me. It’s good if they get along. But if they don’t, that’s fine as long as they don’t cause me any trouble.

While we’re at it, someone actually suggesting political marriage with each other. That’s fine. If they need quick transportation, they can ask me when I’m free.

But as I told them before, I will do what I want and what I need. They can use me but don’t expect that I will just do what they told me to do.

This meeting was far longer than our other usual meetings. But it seems to be more benefitting than any of our meetings so far. It’s good that I told them to take care of the internal issues here.

Even the Kings who complained before that I do whatever I want so much seem happy now after they resolved some of their issues with other countries. That’s good.

And I actually tried to train my senses here. Trying to improve my hearing sense and tried to hear what each and everyone is talking about. But it’s too noisy and I can’t handle it. So I stopped training.

Well, it’s fine too that I don’t have to do anything. But not doing anything at all is boring when I don’t want to not do anything. So while waiting for them, I had Victoria increases her weight so she can be my training tool.

So among the Kings discussing important matter that could change the world, only I alone lifting weights.

"...This is a peculiar sight," Victoria said.

"Yeah. But I have to do something or I will get bored," I said.

"What about reading again? You used to read a lot in your past life. How about reading more in this life? Because in this life I have my own consciousness and memory, there are a lot of books that didn’t exist in your past life. You might find them interesting," Victoria said.

"I’ll do that next time. While wearing you as an armor and increase your weight to the limit," I said.

After discussing things for a while, some Kings told me to go to their kingdom and bring some people with them here. They want to get some candidates for political marriages right here right now.

Well, I don’t mind with that. But I told them that I have to bring a centaur here with me at least to see if they all can be trusted. I can’t ask Albert to do it because he seems to be busy with other things.

"Roy, what about you? Do you want to be in a political marriage? You’re still my half-brother after all," Albert said.

He doesn’t have any other relatives. Shirley doesn’t want to be in a political marriage. Alan and Lana are too young. And his cousin, Randy, already had a fiancée.

"You can introduce me with a girl. If she likes me even after knowing that I already have a harem, likes me as a person and not because she is forced, then that’s fine with me," I said.

"And that will just increase your harem. Well, I don’t think you want to get married anytime soon. So I won’t ask you again until you married at least one of your girls," Albert said.

After a long time, the discussion is over. Everyone has satisfied look in their face. So it seems like the meeting ends well even though it started badly.

Next time they have any dissatisfaction with something, they should be open with it.
