The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 1116: Finding a Place to Hide

Chapter 1116: Finding a Place to Hide

Somehow, I managed to get away from them. It was actually quite easy.

When no one was looking, I entered a room inside a building. An empty room with only a bed and a desk that I know that no one has been living there.

When I looked around, I found that there are many places like that. Then I realized that it’s impossible for anyone to remember every single resident in this place. Even in a single building, there could be hundreds of families living there. It’s impossible that they will know each other.

So I looked for emptier building but with a few residents inside. Instead of for family, this one is for single residents who live alone.

So I called Victoria to prepare something for me.

’Victoria, I think I know a way to blend in with the people here. I’m going to need a lot more Blobbies since a lot of them have been destroyed. Prepare huge lump of Blobbies and once it’s ready, contact me again. I’ll summon it right away,’ I said via telepathy.

Then after a few minutes, Victoria said that it’s ready.

I can not only open a portal to a Blobby separated from Victoria. But I can also summon them even after they’re separated from her just like any other familiars I have.

So after she said that it’s ready, I entered another building from the first floor. Then I rushed to the upper floors by destroying the ceilings from the lower floors.

On the way, there are some rooms that have someone living inside. They are not powerful mages so they didn’t chase after me.

Some, I actually killed because as I jumped to the higher floor, they’re in the way. They died on the impact.

Some were injured and some were totally fine.

The ceilings in their room were destroyed and it also blocked their vision. So no one should be able to see me when I reach an empty room on the higher floor.

Then when I reach the empty and unused room, I stopped by kicking the air above me and I only have less than two seconds before someone could see me.

But I already prepared everything. So I summoned the lump of Blobbies that Victoria has made, then I created one that look like my armor as I threw it to the sky. Continuing to destroy the room above until it leaves the building.

Since I also infused Aura into it, it was strong enough to last for a while.

Then after that, I transform some other Blobbies and had it cover my whole body. And it’s not an armor. It’s like the disguise I used to have once in the past.

I wonder why I only remember the weird stuff? It doesn’t make any sense.

Anyway, I covered my body including my face and made those Blobbies turn me so I look like a giant dark-skinned woman from the outside. Though this time, I’m not a bombshell like in the past. Just a tall and flat.

I’m going to disguise myself as a resident of this building. That’s my plan to at least give me some time to rest.

Then with some other Blobbies, I turn them into some furniture that a woman should have. I also checked some single women who live here to see what they would have and copy them.

And then I’m done. I pretend that I looked at the hole at the ceiling of my room as if I’m watching my mortal enemy.

Though everything around me is all black now since I used Blobbies for them. I should have painted some more Blobbies to make them more colorful. But maybe I’ll pass as some goth woman living alone.

There are still some rooms above me before the ceilings and some under me before there’s someone who lives there. It seems like anyone can get any room they want as long as they’re free. But it’s best to avoid meeting anyone.

I also pretend that I got injured. Good thing I have a blood bag with me before I infiltrate this city. I rip it and pour some on my arm and hide the bag again before finally someone is flying from under the room through my room to catch up with the fake Aura user above.

"Kill him!"

"Wait! That’s not the Aura user! That’s his familiar the Living Armor! The Aura user is not there anymore!"

Of course since there are a lot of master level mages here with good mana sensitivity, they can realize when an armor is empty or not. But that’s also fine.

So I use summoning magic to summon the fake Living Armor to my side and transform the Blobbies into destroyed furniture in my room.

"Fuck! He escaped! He swapped place with his familiar while inside the building!"

"Damn! We can’t get him now since he left. Where’s the Living Armor! It’s best to kill it so he can’t use this place as transfer point again!"

"Seems like he summoned that Living Armor before we could kill it. Shit. This is the worst. He gave us so much damage on his own and killed a lot of us. Tell the summoners to not open a portal to that place again so we can sort things out here before we send more people... wait, something is wrong."

I use Aura to enhance my hearing and try my best to cover my magic level. I can hear them and they won’t be suspicious of me as the Aura user.

They started discussing about not opening another portal. But they’re suspicious of something. What is it?

"If he opened a portal to escape, then we should be able to sense the mana since it happened because someone is breaking through, right? Then why didn’t we feel it when he escaped?"

Oh no. Someone is smart.

"The answer is obvious. He escaped back to Earth instead of going there again. After fighting so many of us, there’s no way that he wouldn’t get tired. More importantly, do you think that the Aura user managed to locate this place?"

"I don’t think so. I’m a summoner as well, but none of my familiars can tell where I am when they’re away. I don’t think I have ever heard any familiar who can locate their master from far away. So I don’t think he found out where we are. Though it’s kind of obvious that this place is suspicious because of so many tall buildings here. Sooner or later, they will surely find out where we are."

Nice. No one think that I’m still here.

And he’s right. I don’t have any familiar who can tell where I am. But I have a familiar who can tell where her clones are.

For now, I’m safe. No one suspected me.

But this is still the enemy base. I have to be extra careful. Maybe someone actually remember how many people live here. That would be bad if they found out about it.

"Wait, the landlord died!"

I heard something interesting from under me. I peeked from the hole on the floor of my room below and see that some people gathered around the dead person I killed as I crashed into him while going up to this room.

"Shh! Don’t be so loud! I haven’t paid my rent for two months. It’s good that he died. We can continue to pretend that he didn’t die and live here without having to pay the rent."

...There’s another smart person down there. Or more like cunning.

"I agree. Let’s keep his death as secret for now. Those who can use fire magic, let’s burn his corpse. Don’t tell anyone who doesn’t live here. How about it?"

"Yes! Let’s do that!"

"I agree as well!" I said.

They are far down, but I can still somehow hear them even without using Aura. So I answered them as if I’m already one of them.

No one objected to the idea. I guess the landlord is someone unlikable. That’s good.

Now I have a place to live here. And it’s kind of nice that they have toilet and shower in this room. Should I say in this unit? That’s what Victoria said when I told her about tall buildings and rooms for each people.

Everyone in the city is still being wary. And I can’t just blend in with other people in disguise because I’m completely dark. Even my clothes will gain attention.

I’ll just secretly hear people talk while in hiding. As for food, I can stay for a week without food or water. Being an Aura user is really great. I only eat food mainly because they’re delicious.

"Wait, my room is destroyed. Can I pick another room?"

Someone downstairs said.

"Let’s pick an empty room. There’s no way the landlord will complain. He’s dead after all."

I’ll do that as well. But I have to wait until all the other residents picked their own room so I know which room is empty for me.

I’ll create another ruckus later after I rested enough. For now, it seems like I can use this place to put the Blobbies to mark as transfer point. I’ll spread some in other rooms just in case.

Next time I cause more trouble, I’ll avoid going here.
