The north. That’s where they came from. It’s not from anywhere near the direction of the village is. No wonder when the dragons flew back here from the village they couldn’t find the cult at all.
’Victoria, how many of them are coming?’
Using telepathy, I contacted Victoria whom I send over before to check the enemies. To see how many of them are coming.

’I thought we have always been outnumbered. But for them to send so many people from the same location, I guess their base is in the north,’ I said.
It’s a good thing that the Spirit King told Angela to not break through in the Spirit Mountain. Because if she did it there, this many people will come and attack her. And the Spirit Mountain will be no more.
We will fight them here. We will defeat them here even if we’re outnumbered.
We might lack in quantity. But we’re better in quality.
Well, as long as there’s no one beyond the stage of master level coming here.
’Are they all wind mages?’ I asked.
Since we’re here on an empty island quite far from other land and they have to cross the ocean to reach here, I don’t think they will be able to send a force of mages with other elements. So it’s either wind mages or water mages.
But I doubt that a hundred thousand troops are here by flying. They must have used some other thing.

As expected, they use something else to come here. So it won’t be just wind mages or water mages.
’What about the ocean?’ I asked.
’So far, there’s no sign of human approaching from the sea. Just the sky. Maybe they’re all here with this method,’ Victoria said.
’Is it just one huge ship?’ I asked again.
’So far, yeah. It’s so huge that it can hold a hundred thousand mages. But that’s just my estimation. I can’t really tell how many of them are. So it might be less,’ she said.
’Let’s just call it a hundred thousand mages. That way, when we win, our troops will be happier to be able to defeat that many people,’ I said.

’We can’t tell a big of a lie that people will find out soon. Though if it’s more than a hundred thousand, then we might be able to say that.’
It will be great since we can raise the morale by saying a lie. It’s not like we will face a hundred thousand enemies directly. Everyone will be spread all over the battlefield. So no one can tell.
’Alright. Tell Spot, his children, and every mage available to shoot their powerful magic to the ship. That should kill a lot of them,’ I said.
If Andro is here, we can just ask him to do it. But not now. He’s away.
Maybe I shouldn’t have told him to leave. Ask him to help more.
But I think we will be fine without him. And he’s more like our secret weapon for now. A limited edition one since his time will be expired sooner or later.
With how powerful he is, I want him to be there when we raid the cult’s main base. Not when we’re protecting Angela even if we can kill a lot of enemies right away with him.

Then I heard a lot noise in the sky far away. Without Divine Vision, I can’t really tell what happened. But I guess the battle is already started.

’Good. Are you going to fight there or return here?’ I asked.
’I’ll fight here. But if there’s something you can’t handle on your own, make sure that you will summon Ray and I right away. At least I will always be ready to be summoned suddenly,’ Victoria said before she cut off the telepathic communication.
If it’s the other, they will be too shocked after being summoned suddenly. So it’s best to just summon her whenever I need to.

That is fine. Though it’s a shame that Pawzer is that much of a coward. Only want to fight against someone slower than him or only fight for training purpose knowing that he won’t die since it’s just training.

Though since it will be annoying if I have to hold the cane as well, I made a belt using Blobbies to hold the cane on my side. This way, I only need to hold the sword. The cane will be used later if necessary.
Well, now is the necessary time to use the cane. So I drew a later large circle around Angela and activate it. Now, a strong barrier will last for a few hours.
As soon as I finished raising a barrier, several stray magic attacks are coming here. Maybe they’re not stray magic. Maybe they’re really aiming for Angela from far away.
But with my speed and my sword, I blocked those attacks by cutting them. Stopping them from reaching Angela or even the barrier.
They’re just wind magic and fire magic. No ice magic or earth magic. Or eve lightning magic. So it’s easy to cut them with a slash and make the magic disperse.
It’s obvious that they can feel where the source of all of this came from. So they just need to attack from far if they want to hit Angela. But I’m here to protect her. I won’t let anyone reach this place.
Then the elves returned. They surround Angela and ready to protect her.
"The others are stopping them for now. But from the sound of the wind cutting, it seems like some are desperate to reach this place even if they have to sacrifice other people. Enemies will arrive soon," Tia said.
"You have good ears and good eyes. Tell me if there’s anyone who gets closer that you probably can’t reach," I said.
If I want to, I can increase my senses to be as sharp as the elves by using my Aura. But I want to save it for later. I don’t know if the enemies will be much stronger than expected or not.
"Also make sure to always check the surrounding area. Even if they came from the north, it could be a distraction as the real enemy will sneak in from other direction," I said.
"Understood. We will shoot anything that moves that is not our allies," Tia said.
