Chapter 1108: They are Finally Here
I’ll take care of the Kaiser Whale later. He might be able to understand me when we talk later. For now, I don’t want him to be involved in this.
There are already too many monsters approaching Angela. Just by being here, the Kaiser Whale can easily disrupt everything. So it’s best for him to return to the bottom of the ocean.
"So how did it go?" Andro asked.
"I told him to stay still and not meet trust any human other than me. We will talk more later. But I have informed him about the cult and how the Kasier Tortoise got his entire body experimented by the cult and died in the end. At least for now, we don’t have to worry about his involvement with the cult," I said.
"You didn’t ask him to join?" Andro asked again.
"That will be for later. For now, we need to protect Angela. At least now I can go to his location next time. I already gave him Victoria’s clones so Victoria can tell where he is," I said.
"Good. So, you won’t need me anymore?" Andro asked.
"At least not at the moment. You can leave if you want. Though it will be helpful if you stay," I said.
"Then I will stay for a few more days before leaving."
After talking a bit more with Pawzer and Andro, I return back to Angela’s side. The place is almost entirely covered by ice. Only the place where Angela is cultivating is free from ice.
They’re from the waves that the Kaiser Whale created and frozen by Shirley. The waves have powerful force that a lot of trees on the way were destroyed.
"That was crazy. I could see Andro flying from here. Then suddenly a giant creature came out from the water and jump as high as Andro was flying. Was that the Kaiser Whale?" Shirley asked.
"Yes. It was insane how he just swallowed an entire giant shark as he breached. I almost got swallowed," I said.
"Giant shark?"
"When I noticed something huge under the water, I thought it was the Kaiser Whale. But it turns out to be just a shark. A really big shark bigger than several dragons. And the most surprising part is that the shark was just the whale’s meal. You didn’t see the shark?" I asked.
"I just see the huge one flying so close to Andro’s head. Andro is already huge. We can see him from here. Then that huge creature jumped near his face. So that’s the Kaiser Whale. What did you talk with him about?" Shirley asked.
"I told him to not come here because we’re protecting Angela. I told him about the cult and the Kaiser Tortoise. Once Angela has finished breaking through, I’ll go and meet him again. At least he’s not with the cult," I said.
"That’s good. Then since you’re here, I’ll fight with the others. Protect Angela with everything you have," she said before she flew away into the battle.
That’s my sister. Half-sister. She’s going to vent her anger by killing monsters. Scary sister.
So now, I’m staying with Angela again.
I didn’t expect the matter with the Kaiser Whale can be taken care of that quickly. I brought Shirley and some reinforcement here because I thought that it will take some time until I finish talking with the Kaiser Whale. Who would expect that he’s a good listened?
I guess it’s mostly thanks to Andro and Pawzer that the talk went smoothly. If they were not there and I just told him that the Kaiser Tortoise is already dead, he might try to kill me.
I still remember how he almost swallowed me together with the giant shark.
When I got pushed up by the shark’s tooth, I see two things approaching from two sides. It’s the large mouth of the Kaiser Whale.
When it was about to close, I opened a portal so I could escape. That was scary.
Now I’m back here again protecting Angela. She seems to be suffering. I never heard of breaking through that went through so much pain.
I checked her condition. Everything seems normal other than her blood pressure. That’s not the blood pressure that any healthy human could have. But there’s also nothing I can do other than wiping her sweat.
"I believe you. You can do it."
"Who are you talking to?"
Just like usual, Pawzer appeared out of nowhere.
"You’re not with Andro?" I asked.
"I have decided that I will stay here as well. I can talk with you about more things than with Andro. So, who are you talking to?" he asked.
"To Angela obviously. Will you stay here after Andro leave or will you leave with him?"
"I think I’ll stay. I won’t attack her, but don’t expect me to help you protect her," Pawzer said.
"I know. I won’t expect much from you."
That’s what I said. But I believe that Pawzer will still protect Angela if he has to. Or when the opponent is not stronger than him.
He’s afraid of those who can keep up with his speed. But if they can’t, then it won’t be a problem to him.
We just chatted and when there are some monsters approaching, I killed them. It was a few days of just doing this. But there doesn’t seem to be any progress in Angela’s magic level.
Her body is still hot. Her blood pressure is high as usual that it won’t be surprising for her to suddenly got heart attack. But she doesn’t seem to be sick.
That’s not something that other people experienced before. There were other master level mages who had difficult time when they were breaking through to master level. But none of them were suffering like Angela.
Is it because of how she’s trying to get all her elements improved at once? This is scary. But I can only hope that she will be fine.
"Just how strong is she?" Pawzer asked me.
"Even when she was just an expert level mage, the other master level mages we have already have difficulty when sparring against her. So when she reaches master level, there’s no doubt in my mind that she will be the strongest mage that we have," I said.
If it’s just below the next stage, whatever that stage beyond master level is called, then she will be the strongest. Without a doubt.
"Then I might not have any chance against her. What about you?" Pawzer asked me.
"I never lost against her. But every time, it was always a difficult battle. Next time, I might even lose. Though I won’t lose on purpose," I said.
If I lose, I might be sad or disappointed for a moment. But I will be happy in the end because Angela is that strong.
My goal is not to be the strongest. It’s to destroy the cult. If I have Angela with me, that goal will not be impossible to reach.
"Then I don’t think I will need to help her train in the future, right?" Pawzer said.
"If you want to, you can. It’s all up to you."
Just like the last few days, I chatted with Pawzer as I protecting Angela. But from this day, it will be different.
’I smell them! They are coming!’
That’s the telepathic message I received from Shelia. It seems like they are coming. But just to be sure, I have to ask her about it.
’Who are they? Shelia, tell me!’ I said.
’Humans! I smell the scent of humans approaching the island! And they are not the humans whose smell I recognized!’ Shelia said.
As soon as she said that, Pawzer also noticed something wrong. He shouldn’t be able to hear my telepathic transmission with Shelia. So this is something he found by himself.
"Humans. They are coming from the north. They’re coming from over there. A whole lot of them," Pawzer said.
’They have a lot of people with them! People and monsters! Their scents are coming from the same side!’ Shelia said.
So I grab my phone and told everyone that the cult is coming from the north. Both Shelia and Pawzer found them. They really are here with a huge force. So they must have noticed after almost two months that someone is trying to breakthrough. Someone really powerful.
"I’m going to bring more reinforcement."
I didn’t bother to check Pawzer’s reaction. If he leaves, that’s fine. If he doesn’t leave, that’s great.
Andro already left. Flying somewhere else. If I need him, I can call him later.
I don’t know if Andro leaving will be good for us or not. Because the enemies are surely much stronger than before. And a lot more as well. So I don’t know if Andro with his huge size can do anything against them if they land on his back.
After telling everyone, I go to each great country to bring more reinforcement. And now that we know that the cult is here, we are prepared to go all out.
We have to finish them all. Because we have a wedding to go. And the wedding will be much safer if we defeat them all here.
