Chapter 1095: The Former King of this Land
I brought the Kings back here. Told them what happened and said that they can have a chat with the former King before I brought them back.
I don’t know. I feel like this battle will be more insane. And I won’t have the time to repeat drawing circles on the ground. So it’s best if there’s no audience.
"So you’re the current King of this land, huh?" Armored King said to old man Henry.
"I am. And you’re the former King? Seems like it’s way before Varadis was established," old man Henry said.
"Yes. Not only were we being chased because we’re monsters. But because my strength looks like I used something called Aura, someone called Evil God hunted me down. He must be the one who spread the rumors that I’m a monster. The others are obvious just by seeing their physical appearance. But until the rumors were spread, we were living peacefully together with humans," the Armored King said.
"Wait, what?! Again? You live in that era?"
The Evil God appeared out of nowhere in his story. So I got interested in the story now.
"You know him?" the Armored King asked.
"He’s currently someone I really wish to die right now. Even after a thousand years passed, he’s probably still alive. Though I don’t know if he had never died or he was resurrected perfectly after death. Even better than your revival perhaps," I said.
"So he’s still alive. But I can’t do anything. Just like my knights, it seems like I can’t leave this room alive. Even if you use that portal," Armored King said.
"So before we start fighting, please tell me everything you knew about the Evil God. Maybe I can see some resemblance with the current him. To see if he’s the same Evil God or not," I said.
Then the Armored King told us about his past.
He was just an ordinary monster. But he and his race had very much resemblance to human race. Similar to vampires and humans.
Even though they’re stronger than average people, they’re not creatures of violence. They hate fighting. They wanted peace.
So this guy, the Armored King, stepped forward. With the other from his race, and also other intelligent monsters, he built a kingdom. A peaceful kingdom for all races.
Humans and monsters used to live together in this place peacefully. And the Armored King became a King. With four strong knights from four different races as his royal guards.
The Small Knight is the same species as this Armored King. But he’s just short. Then the Giant Knight from the Giant tribe and the Spider Knight was an Arachnoid.
The last knight was a human. A mage.
One day, the mage didn’t come when the Armored King summoned all of his knights for hearing. Then he found out that the human mage was killed by another human mage. That human mage was the one who ended up being called as the Evil God.
The Armored King and his knights fought the Evil God and won. But the Evil God retreated.
Then after a few months, a lot of human armies come to his Kingdom. The Armored King realized that they found out that he’s a monster from the Evil God.
Maybe at first, they only believed that the Armored King was a tamer. A tamer who tried to build a kingdom with the help of his tamed monsters.
But some weird rumors started to spread. Rumors about the Armored King who tried to kill all humans. And that’s when the Armored King and his knights were forced to leave the Kingdom.
But they all died. And a dungeon suddenly appeared where they died. That’s how this dungeon came to be.
"Alright, you skipped a lot. But I’ve heard of the important parts. Basically, the Evil God who is now trying to destroy the world, gather people together by saying that someone else will do it instead? I guess he’s not as strong as he is today," I said.
"Don’t forget that he killed us simply because we’re Aura users. He’s afraid of anyone, whether it’s human or monster, to be stronger than him. Or simply have the potential to be stronger. He’s the worst," Victoria said.
And Sonia is here as well. So we have three monsters who were killed by the Evil God in the past.
"So you also became monsters? What a strange twist of fate. But at least you were humans before. I have never met any human who used Aura. So I didn’t know why I had to die because my strength seems similar to Aura user’s strength," the Armored King said.
"Other than that, can you tell us anything else?" old man Henry asked.
Then it’s mostly about political wisdom of the former King. He might even be smarter than humans. At least he’s smarter than me in politics.

The Armored King is telling old man Henry about where his old treasure vault was hidden. It should be near this pyramid. That’s why he was running here after leaving his kingdom.

But it’s really surprising that there’s a kingdom created by monsters in the past. But no one talked about it.
"Victoria. Sonia. You’ve never heard of his kingdom?" I asked the two former Aura users.
"I’m an idiot. There’s no internet, then there’s no knowledge," Victoria said.
I agree. She’s an idiot.
"I’ve heard of a kingdom destroyed because the King was a man-eating monster. If it’s talking about him, then he died long before I was born. And it means that it’s a lie when he killed me because I seduced someone he cared about. He just made up some excuse to kill Aura users," Sonia said.
Now that’s a better information than what Victoria had. So the kingdom existed and disappeared before Sonia and Victoria were born. It means the Evil God has prepared to destroy the world from before he hunted down Aura users.
At least we know something else. The Evil God is probably someone who was born around Varadis. Because even before he hunted down Aura users, he already destroyed a Kingdom that is supposed to be in this area.
"So we will focus on searching more in Varadis. We found a place suspicious to be where Georgia was used as an experiment. We’ll check on that first after Roy has finished here," old man Henry said.
"You spoke as if he’s going to win against me."
"He will. He’s the strongest man I’ve ever known. If he can’t even win against you, then it’s impossible to win against the Evil God. And the world will be destroyed as the Evil God wished it to be. I’m sorry to say this, but you’re just a stepping stone," old man Henry said.
"Nice. This will be the first time I will see the power of an Aura user for real. I can’t wait for our battle," the Armored King said.
"And I can’t wait to just finish it as soon as possible. By the way, is there anything wrong with your armor? Is it a magic item? Because I want to know if taking them will give us strength or not," I asked.
I still want his armor and the three Black Knights’ armors as well. If they’re really magic armor, then I will use them well.
Probably not me. Most likely, it will be Victoria’s clones. If they can fight on their own, and they can be as strong as those Black Knights, then our force will be stronger again.
"This... I didn’t have this when I was alive. I wore a normal silver armor. Not a black one. And I can tell that this helped me stabilize myself from resurrection. If all the armor is off, then I won’t be able to control myself. I will be just another zombie. And the side effect is changing the skin color into blue. I don’t think anyone will want it," the Armored King said.
"We have slimes for that. It doesn’t matter if they’re black or blue. If Victoria’s clones can help us in the fight, then that would be great," I said.
Then it’s good. The Armored King said the armor gave him strength. So I have hopes for those armors. But I will still ask an appraiser to appraise the armors first.
After some more talking, we’re finally done. And it’s time for us to fight.
"Then, good luck, Roy. We will be waiting for the good news," old man Henry said after I opened portals for the kings to return.
Kayla will also return. If I need healing, then I’ll just summon Graham. He might be tired, but if it’s just for healing purpose, he should be able to do it.
"Now everyone is gone. It’s just you and me now," I said.
"What about the Black Slime?" the Armored King asked.
"I’m here as his main weapon. Or you don’t want me to do that? Then Roy will have to use his own weapon to fight," Victoria said.
"So you can transform into weapons. That’s fine. Then, let the battle begins!"
And so, the last battle to clear this dungeon started. Even though I said clearing this dungeon, this dungeon will still exist. But at least there won’t be any extremely powerful monsters. Well, other than the Bone Dragon. So if any hunters entered this dungeon, they only have to fight zombies and skeletons.
