The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 1094: The Black Knights’ King

Chapter 1094: The Black Knights’ King

We won. Three victories against the Black Knights.

Crabbe won against the Giant Knight. They are almost at the same level of strength. But it was over quickly. Crabbe managed to overpower the Giant Knight in the end and killed him with his crab’s claws.

Next was Graham’s victory. He won against the Spider Knight. And not only that, his spear technique has improved as well. And now, he’s holding the spear that the Spider Knight used before. That spear seems to suit him more than his old spear.

Lastly, Shelia won against the Small Knight. It was clear that the Small Knight was better at everything. Power, speed, technique. He’s better than Shelia at them all.

But things changed after Shelia transformed into her human form. She used the grappling technique that Victoria taught her. Although Victoria never really practiced them herself, she managed to teach Shelia about those wrestling and judo technique.

Shelia turns the match into an unarmed combat. And that’s how she won. Though even if the Small Knight didn’t throw his shield away, Shelia might still be able to disarm his shield by her own strength.

Then the ground battle. No one here, not even me, can fight as well as Shelia did on the ground. Grappling while on the ground trying to get the advantage. That’s something that we don’t do in this world. Partly because most of the people here are mages who fight from distance. And the other reason that even if there are Aura users, it’s rare for anyone to fight with their fists. And even if they do, it’s just a battle of punches and kicks. Never grapples.

So it was nice to see Shelia able to do that. Even though it’s only useful in a one-on-one combat, it’s still a useful knowledge.

We celebrated our victory. But then, I remember something. Something in the middle of the room. Something that is gathering a lot of mana right now.

So I quickly pushed back everyone and drew a line on the last circle I haven’t used to make another barrier.

"Emergency. Just stay still. Everyone else, protect important people here," I said.

Shelia, Graham, and Crabbe won’t fight if there’s any. They’re too tired after their match. So Kayla and the other angels are healing them.

I look at the middle of the room. And the mana seems to be gathering even more. Maybe because the corpse of the Small Knight is still here while the corpses of the other two knights are not here.

"For now, I’ll return you all back to where you came from. Shelia, Graham, and Crabbe as well," I said.

"I’ll stay here with you just in case," Kayla said.

Good. She’s strong and the best healer we have as well. In case there’s a fight where we got injured, she can heal us both.

And of course Victoria is here. Just in case, Ray is also here.

So I brought everyone back. Including the monsters.

"Roy, tell us if it’s anything that we need to know, okay? Even if it’s not, just tell us what happen here later," Albert said before he enters the portal.

Of course everyone wants to know. But it will be too much if we have everyone fighting here. So it will only be me, Victoria, Ray, and Kayla. We should be enough in case of a fight.

But when I open a portal for the monsters to return back to the village, we have someone else coming in from there. Someone that I don’t really know what his intention is other than to have fun. It was Pawzer.

"Wow, the mana is gathering in the center! And what happened here?" Pawzer asked.

He always appears out of nowhere. Kayla was surprised to hear someone suddenly speak, but I have already gotten used to his voice coming out of nowhere.

"We’re inside a dungeon. Anything you know about that bundle of mana?" I asked.

"It should be absorbing mana from something or somewhere. When there’s enough mana, something will appear. I have seen it several times in the dungeons in Monsters World. Sometimes, even an enemy will appear. It seems interesting so I will watch," Pawzer said.

Absorbing mana from something? Then I looked at the Small Knight’s corpse. Maybe because the other two corpses are not here, it was not complete yet.

"I’ll get the other two corpses here. They must be the source where it absorbed mana from," I said.

I opened a portal to where those two corpses are and I can feel it. Whatever it is in the middle of the room is absorbing mana from the dead Black Knights even though I haven’t brought them here yet. So as long as they’re nearby, even through the portals, it can still absorb mana.

So I brought the Small Knight’s corpse into the portal so he can be buried with his fellow Black Knights. Now we just need to wait.

Soon after, the bundle of mana started to form into something. Human-like being. So an enemy will appear. And this one is the real Dungeon Boss and not those three Black Knights.

As soon as I no longer feel that it’s absorbing mana from the corpses, I close the portal.

Since this one is raised from the three dead Black Knight, it should be stronger than three of them combined.

Then in the middle of the room, another Black Knight appears. This time, it’s a human-sized knight. About the same height as I am. And he has a broadsword as his weapon.

"...So, those three are dead? Where are they?" the Black Knight asked.

"I brought them somewhere else to be buried. My familiars defeated them in duels and asked me to give them a proper burial," I said.

"I see. So they die as knights. That’s good to know," the Black Knight said. Then he looks around the place to see where we are.

"We’re inside a dungeon if you don’t know. And those three knights seem to have been ordered to stop people who enter this room. Rather than stopping us from entering, it’s to fight us after we enter. It’s weird," I said.

"I see. What about their memories?" he asked.

"They don’t remember much about life before the duty. That’s all they remember. And we’re actually the first people ever to enter this room," I said.

"Then they died fulfilling their duty. And they died honorably in duels. I’m sorry but I will pay my respect to them first. They are my loyal knights. Even after so long and my land turns into a dungeon, they still fulfilled their duty."

"Do you want to see their bodies?" I asked.

"No need."

The Black Knight removed his helmet. Then he paid respect to the three knights by looking at the ceiling of this room.

He said that those three are his knights. So he must be a king or something.

After a full minute of paying his respect, he wore his helmet again. I guess a battle is inevitable in the end.

"You have my gratitude for giving them their honorable ends. And I... am someone who shouldn’t exist in this world anymore. So it’s best if I also follow them. But I want a duel as well. Before that, do you have anything you want to ask me? I’ll give you all the answer I can give," he said.

"You... were you human before?" I asked.

Unlike the other three knights, this one seems to be a human. But a strong one.

"No. I’m not from your race. I look like a human but I’m not from human race. And I don’t even know what my race is even in the past," he said.

But he’s someone who knows the past. Unlike the other three who lost their memories.

"Were you a King perhaps?" I asked.

"A King, huh? I tried to be a King. But humans didn’t want a monster to be their King. So while the other monsters continued to follow me as their king, the humans tried to kill us. And we really end up dead. For some reason, we got revived. Only those three though. While, I somehow knew that I will be able to revive somewhat after those three died," he said.

So that’s what happened. He and the Black Knights were fighting humans but they got killed in the end. Though for some reason, a dungeon suddenly appear here. And because of the dungeon’s power, they ended up reviving. And they became blue after their revival. Even this King in front of me has blue skin.

"Then, we have a lot of questions. Do you mind if we delay the battle until we got all the information we want from you?" I asked.

"Sure. But we will still have a duel in the end."

Then I will have to bring Albert and the others back. Especially old man Henry. Because he’s the current ruler of this Kingdom, he might know more than us about the past. And he could learn something from him as well.

And this time, I will be the one who fight. Another one-on-one duel.

For someone that those three knights followed, he must be really strong. I need to be careful against him.
