Chapter 1080: The Vampires are Going to Leave

Because there are more of us, and the girls are riding on Jewel’s back in her rhino form, we move faster than before. And after five hours, we dived two floors below. But I can still see that the dungeon is deep.

"Everyone, the air is thinner the deeper we go. Although I’m using air magic to make you breathe more easily, you might still get tired faster. So be careful," I said.

The air here is thinner than above. So if I’m not here, they won’t be able to last long as they will get tired faster. So it’s good that I’m here.

And there’s another thing we need to be careful of.

"The monsters in this floor are no longer just zombies. Zombies still appear in this floor but there are other monsters as well. Like the three-headed dog that Candy defeated before. That one used fire magic," I said.

We just got to this floor. I have seen the monster from the previous floor, but I only told them now because they didn’t have to worry about monsters other than zombies before.

Now is different. There’s not only the three-headed dog from before. But also other living monsters and not zombies.

"How strong do you think that dog was?" Kayla asked.

"Not that strong, I guess. Candy’s fire magic was just stronger than the dog’s fire magic. So it was no contest. If it you guys, I think there’s no need to worry about the dog. But there might be stronger monsters than the dog later on. Just be careful," I said.

Kayla started mumbling to herself. That’s when she’s thinking carefully about what to do next. I can hear her, but I don’t understand much.

She just mumbled something like, ’this should be... then next is... and maybe...’

She didn’t say the most important part. So I can’t understand her.

"Well, we will continue with our original plan for now. If possible, we should get to the next floor before we stop for the day. This might take longer than the previous floor because this place is larger, right?" Kayla asked me.

"It should be. Since the lower we go the larger the place, that seems logical," I said.

"We have explored this dungeon for quite a while. We should stop when we reached the next floor," Kayla suggested.

And if then I will return here tomorrow again. And tomorrow, I might be with another group. I think I know which group I should go with tomorrow. Because in the next floor, there are way more monsters than it is in this floor.

It will be good for them to come here.

The three-headed dogs are easy for the girls to defeat. Especially Shirley. Her ice magic can freeze and block the dog’s fire magic.

And surprisingly, the living monsters here, including the dog, have the same weakness as the zombie. They are weak against light magic. So Kayla easily defeated anything she faced.

After a few more hours and just one treasure chest today, we finally reached the stairs leading down. So we stopped here and I returned us all back to Cassau. Though I returned Shirley alone to the capital.

And I ended up being invited for dinner in the palace.

"Isn’t it normal for a family to have dinner together?" Albert said.

Sometimes I forgot that he’s my half-brother. That I have royal blood in my body.

So I accepted it. But I still love Lina’s cooking more than any other chefs. Not only can she make better food, her cooking also mostly made according to my taste. So they’re the best.

And it’s not just me. She also understands other people’s taste as well. So everyone who has eaten her food will always say that she’s the best chef.

She should normally be happy with other people’s praises. But after she became mine, she loves my praises more than other people’s.

So I ended up accepting the invitation for dinner while I will still eat back at home. Being an Aura user, I can eat a lot more than normal human.

"You’re in a dungeon now? How deep is it?" Albert asked.

"I think there are only three floors left. I’ll try to finish it tomorrow," I said.

"Aren’t you bored with the search for the pyramid that you started entering a dungeon? Why do you have to get it done sooner?" Marie asked.

"Because I can get bored exploring a dungeon as well. Especially when the treasures are not interesting. So I want to finish it soon and continue with the search for the pyramid. Then on the way I’ll get distracted by other things again and delay the search again," I said.

Now that I think about it, will I ever be able to leave in peace? Because peace is boring. And I got bored easily.

I guess I’ll have to find another thing that I will enjoy after the destruction of the cult. But that’s still in the future.

Though one thing is clear for me. It’s that I want to have a happy life with my girls.

After the family dinner, I returned back to Cassau and eat Lina’s cooking. Then there was not much I need to do at night.

Thinking that it’s been a while, I decided to meet with Arin. It has been a while since I last giving her my blood directly.

"Arin, what are you doing?" I asked.

"Roy, do they look pretty?" she asked me back.

She showed me the new accessories she got. Rings, bracelets, and some other. And I recognize some of them.

"They’re the jewels I got from the exploration in a cave with Victoria before. Do you like them?" I asked.

"Yes! They’re from treasure chests inside a dungeon, right? So we decided that we will leave Cassau in a few days and start our live as hunters who focus on dungeon exploration. It’s sad that we won’t get any more blood from you directly. But with this, not only we can increase our experience by fighting. We can also get beautiful jewels as well. We were discussing about it this afternoon and thought of asking for your opinion. What do you think?" Arin asked me.

"What do I think? I think it’s best for you to do whatever you want as long as you don’t bother anyone. Just don’t kill other people unless they are bad guys. I know that I don’t need to tell you about this. So, does it mean that you won’t live in Cassau anymore?" I asked.

"I think we will return once in a while. We will go through a portal opened by the master of one of the vampires who became a familiar and started exploring from there. Not all of us vampires. Just some," Arin said.

"I see. Then if you need to return or for anything important, you can call me. It will be a bit lonely without you guys, but that’s fine. Don’t you want to explore the dungeons in Monsters World?" I asked.

"We will go around this world first. That world will come later," she said.

So they will leave soon. They have adapted to this world so quick. And I thought that they will stay with us for much longer. Though I trust them to still be our allies even in the future.

"If there’s any battle where you need our help, you have to contact us. And we will help you right away," Arin said.

"Okay. And I’ll tell the kings that you’re leaving. So if you need anything but you don’t want to contact me or can’t do it for some reason, you can go to the capital city of any country and ask for the King’s help. Because all the help you gave us in battle, I’m sure they will help you," I said.

Then we talked a bit more before she bites my neck without asking and drink my blood. I guess she will feel lonely that she won’t be able to do this as much as before so I let her be.

"Ah! Your blood is as delicious as ever. I will miss drinking them directly," Arin said.

"...And you have to tell me beforehand if you want to drink that much blood. I feel a bit dizzy now. I’m going home. When you’re leaving, tell the others. They will miss you," I said to her before returning home.

Vampires. They have been really helpful for us in the battle. Good thing I have portal so I can get them whenever I need them.

Unlike other monsters, they prefer to stay on Earth instead of living in the Monsters Village. They love our cultures and can adapt to it quickly.

And they’re strong. One of the strongest monsters we have.

Well, the house will be quieter when they leave. But it won’t be for another few days. And they can return home whenever they want. It’s not like this is a farewell.

I’m sure they will be fine. They will just go out there and explore more dungeons. Not fighting strong monsters. They are not like the werewolves.
