Chapter 1079: Now with Four Other Girls

Chapter 1079: Now with Four Other Girls

Hearing how large the pyramid dungeon was, there are more people exploring the dungeon today. The goal is to see if we could explore the entire dungeon by today.

Other than Victoria and me, we have Kayla, Jewel, Wendy, and even Shirley. Four of them. And just like yesterday, they will fight in turn.

"Oh, it’s really huge! I can even transform into my rhino form and let you all ride on my back. Should I do that?" Jewel suggested.

"It will be faster that way. Then, if you don’t mind, please do it," Kayla said.

And so, Jewel transformed into her rhino form that the other three girls can ride. As for me, I refused.

"I’ll walk on my own. Just think that you’re exploring this dungeon on your own. Just like before, I will only say something if you missed a room or something. By the way, if it’s an empty room, should I guide you there or you want to ignore it and continue exploring the dungeon?"

I realized yesterday that I didn’t have to bring them to an empty room without anything there. I shouldn’t have done that.

Well, on the first day, it was with Candy. And when I found a room that she missed, I asked her if she wanted to check that room or not even though it’s empty. And she was fine with it.

But on the second day, that’s not the case. Because Veronica was there.

Sara was fine with exploring and investigating empty room. But after a few times we did that, Veronica had enough and told me to not say anything about an empty room. Just explore the next area.

Even though we did that in the end, we still couldn’t explore the entire dungeon. And it seems like the area that we haven’t explored until now is bigger than the area we have explored until yesterday. So I was fine with bringing four other girls here.

We should be able to clear it faster if we split up. But we have no plan for that. We will stick together.

Though it’s indeed faster to ride on Jewel’s back. The others can converse their stamina and mana just by sitting on her back. As for Jewel, she has the second most stamina after me here. There’s no problem with her stamina at all. She’s my best disciple after all. Though I only have two and the other one had just became my disciple not long ago. And I don’t think my second disciple will train her body hard. She just needs to be strong enough to open portals.

We encountered ten zombies right away. And Kayla uses her lightning magic to defeat five of them.

It was not a strong magic. But from that, I can tell that it’s effective against the zombies. As expected, their weakness is lightning.

As for the other five, Jewel let them be as they come after her.

"Watch out! If the legend is right, then you will become a zombie as well if you get bitten!" Shirley shouted.

There’s a legend like that? I think I’ve heard of it.

But I don’t have to worry about that. Because the monster zombies here don’t have enough jaw strength to pierce Jewel’s thick armor skin.

"As expected, they’re not strong enough to pierce my armor," Jewel said.

"...Please don’t do that again. If you’re too weak, you would be another zombie. And you will be too strong to fight," Shirley said as Jewel shoots another lightning magic to kill the rest of the zombies.

Then after that, it was Wendy’s turn.

"I’ll try with my fire magic and see if it’s their weakness," Wendy said.

"I think the zombies have a lot of weaknesses already. But that’s good though. The only problem we will have when we face the Death Mage in the future is the numbers. And not only that, she should be able to revive master level mages into zombies in the battlefield. So she will get even stronger as the battle goes. The more weaknesses we find, the better it is," I said.

"Then after Wendy’s turn, I’ll try it with my ice magic. With how cold their blood should be, ice magic should be very effective as well," Shirley said.

She’s right. I think all kind of magic is effective.

"Then I’ll try my light magic. And just in case, my healing magic on the zombies as well. Then another problem would be if the zombies used to be powerful mages with high resistance toward a certain element of magic. But that should be fine if we use other element to fight them," Kayla said.

Healing magic, huh? Will that be able to kill the zombies or heal them? It will be interesting if the zombies ended up returning back to life. But I doubt that will happen.

If healing magic and light magic are useful, then we can just let the angels fight the zombies. I don’t think there’s any way to block healing magic.

Wendy’s turn and it was as expected. Fire magic is effective. She also uses wind magic. But it’s only effective when she used it to cut off the neck or hit the brain of the zombies.

Shirley’s turn. She uses ice magic to freeze the zombies.

"It was not hard to freeze them. In fact, it’s easier than freezing ordinary expert level mages," Shirley said.

Just in case, I told Shirley to make the ice disappear. Since it was her magic, it was easy for her to do it.

Then I had Wendy to warm up the zombies. And soon after that, the zombies started moving again.

"Freezing them is good. But they aren’t dead yet. I guess we can freeze them and have their head pierced. Or just leave them be in the ice until the battle is over," Kayla said.

There are many things we can do after we freeze the zombies. Though Shirley’s ice magic is too strong and it’s hard for ordinary mages to destroy them. So we told Shirley to only freeze their body and let the head free. This way, we can just smack the head so the zombies will die.

"Then next is Kayla’s turn. In fiction stories, light magic or healing magic should be the zombies’ greatest weaknesses. Let’s see if it’s right in reality," Victoria said.

We encountered another group of ten zombies again. And this time, it’s Kayla’s turn.

She uses her light magic to create a ray that can be used to attack. And the zombies that got hit... turned into dust.

"...Using the angels to fight the zombies seem to be a better plan than having ice mages to freeze the zombies," I said.

"And that was not even half of my strength. I guess they really are weak against light magic," Kayla said.

I don’t think the Death Mage will give us much trouble then. But we still don’t know how powerful a Death Mage is. And the ones we fought were just normal zombies. Not the zombies that were raised by a Death Mage.

What about healing magic? It’s effective as well. The zombies seem to be in pain. Something that they never show us even after we cut off their limbs. But it was not enough to kill them.

"What about someone who was alive, got bitten by a zombie, and turned into one? If we heal them, will they return back as a living human or not? They shouldn’t be dead with just a bite on their body," Shirley asked.

"...There’s no way we can know. I won’t let anyone be experimented. Unless they’re the prisoners we caught before. I’ll get some right now," I said.

And so I opened a portal and left to a prison to grab some prisoners to be used as experiment.

When I brought them to the dungeon, they still have the collars that restrict magic.

I grabbed a zombie and had him bite a prisoner. First one is a slight touch that didn’t even harm the prisoner but enough to leave a bite mark. The second was a deeper one. The third prisoner got his flesh ripped by the zombie’s teeth.

The third prisoner turned into a zombie first. Kayla used her healing magic and the zombie screamed in pain. But the zombie didn’t return back as human.

The second turned into a zombie latter than the third one. Kayla used her healing magic and the zombie screamed in pain as well. But the result was the same as before.

Then the first prisoner turned into a zombie. Seems like just a touch from a zombie’s teeth is enough to turn a living being into a zombie.

But this one, after Kayla used her healing magic, the prisoner returned as a human. I guess it depends on how deep the bite was. Deep enough to make someone bleed and healing magic won’t be enough.

Though I still killed him after he returned back as a human. We asked him a few things but he couldn’t answer them.

"I guess Jewel’s skin is separate from her body when she’s transformed," Shirley said.

"You’re right! I also feel that way. After all, I turned into an armor-wearing human in my hybrid form. So it’s like the skin is different from my body," Kayla said.

I’m glad if that’s the case. Because she was recklessly using her own body for experiment. I need to scold her.

But at least we learned a lot about zombies. I hope they’re useful when we fight the Death Mage in the future.
